Can I get that wallpaper pretty please? Tineye is awesome: http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/2575/1920purpletexturelesszi2.jpg Also, my desktop is useless to post. I have wallpapers on rotation, no icons, and my bar is a standard KDE bar.

From the Youtube video, it doesn't look like this run completes the game.

I liked the one with the weapon switches. It sucks that the pauses take so long in real time. But with the pauses edited out afterwards it looks really awesome.

This hack looks really ugly. I'm sure it's fun to play but it looks like someone ate watercolors and took a big dump all over the palette.

I'm using matlab 32-bit. For Imagemagick, the command I used was "montage -adjoin -mode Concatenate -tile 3072x2304 (list all the images that will make up the mosaic) montage". But the list got too long for the command window, so I couldn't paste it in one chunk. Thinking about it now, maybe I could write a .bat-file for the script? I think I will give ImageMagick another try. :)
Try using xargs, you ran into a limitation of your shell, rather than a limitation of ImageMagick

Nice videos, thanks! Is there a shroom draft? For RR, why not just use 3 green shells for all 3 three laps instead of going backwards and getting items again after the first lap? Is that really faster? And why did you use ghost to get a blue shell, is that the only way to get one when in first, if so can you get other good stuff with a ghost in first or is blue shell it?
You can get anything with ghost, because it steals from other characters. You can't get anything in 1st place otherwise except green shell, banana, ghost (rare) and mushroom (rare) iirc.

That doesn't looks like an easy integration to do. Why do you think that Wolfram Alpha is wrong and there's a trivial anti-derivative to that function?

Voting no, as it did not play "It's Raining Men" and "Opps! I did it again"

Would there be a way to add avi dumping support in Linux?

As emulation gets better our movies will be more accurate. But it's ok to start with something imperfect. Famitasia had known inaccuracies, Mupen still does. Just grab a revision and stick with it. :)

^Agree. And unfortunately after several hours of testing, it seems Commando Man simply refuses to do his optimal pattern unless you wait for about half a second. :(
Try playing an earlier part of the stage in a slightly different way? Killing more or less enemies?

Yeah, that's slick. You landed even farther up in the air on 0-4, and I guess you landed on a pixel edge and popped down a few pixels to make the jump shorter on 0-1? Nice. I don't understand how you saved the time on 0-2 though. Does the hammer affect your jump any? I didn't think it did.

I thought it was very well done. I would like to see a longer version of it that completes all of the stages. :)

Dumb question, at 7:11 in the Youtube run, Saturn uses a single bomb on the wall, instead of two that I customarily see in newer Super Metroid runs. Is this faster or slower or equal?

Saturn, why did you submit this video, which probably will not get accepted, and not the Super Metroid Redesign video, which probably would?
