http://www.webmproject.org/ If anyone wants to run some test encodes against x264 and let us know what the results are, that would be rad, otherwise I'll get to that in the next few days.

Just took an impromptu survey of the people in the IRC channel. 16/90 run linux 2/90 run SunOS 1/90 runs FreeBSD The rest are Windows or undisclosed or unable to determine from their version string. At least 21%, maybe more, use linux. Or claim to on their IRC version string. Also, Bisqwit gave back this gem: -Bisqwit- VERSION Unreal Lynx v2.7.-1rel2 for Moon UltraSparc 257-bit - Several editions by Bisqwit -Bisqwit- VERSION - actually - that version reply came from a random generator. Really: ircII 20050921

Well, it could be done, but to be honest, how on earth would the input file be structures? Resolution on the order of a CPU cycle?

I think it was a bug, this movie never actually made it to the other forum.

I apologize if this is upsetting to you and is, as a consequence, causing your tear ducts to generate excess eyeball lubrication. If I don't return by 4:12 AM CDT on May 8th, it would be preferable to me if you were to continue doing whatever it is that you were doing without regard to the passing time, because it is my deeply held and unswayable opinion that it doesn't really matter.

If your account uploaded the file you can delete it, or update it.

I certainly agree with this. We shouldn't be archiving something unfinished.

As of a month ago, not only did it not work, it didn't compile without modification with rerecording enabled.

Just a thought, the majority of Rubik's Cube positions can be solved in 16-19 moves. This movie uses 20 moves, I only know one cube position that requires 20 moves. >_>

Hello there. Now a few questions come to my head. Does this only work with the special world koopas or with the normal ones as well? Does this work with all Yoshis? Does this work with all Koopas Does this only work with caped Mario? And, most importantly, are there any applications for this glitch?
If it can be reproduced on the Cheese Bridge level it removes the requirement to ditch your Yoshi.

Any update on the non "test" version of this run? And if there is interest, I can make an encoded version of this.

Jumping is the same speed as running. Not sure about the "Ow!" animation, I don't think it affects your speed at all, but I could be mistaken.

oh very nice. :) I liked the boss skip in level 2. Clever! Couple of questions, I was certain that more bosses had a double damage vulnerability, why in specific did you pass on those? And do you think it would be worth the time to manipulate more star drops for the rollout spell in levels 5 and 6? Also, the rollout special looks like it might have sequence break potential, but at 10 stars it's rather expensive. One last thing, sliding is faster than walking ;)

Warp, the times used were for the single cube solutions, not for the average.

eh, I liked it, I thought it was entertaining and a nice change from the existing Rockman run. Perhaps it could use some optimization. But I wasn't overly distracted by its lack. It's very clearly not a speedrun. It feels like a TAS circa 2005 or 2006. Overall, I wouldn't mind publishing it if it were accepted, so I think that's enough for a yes vote. I doubt that it will get published though, because of optimization issues. So I look forward to a second version.

I just confirmed that it's completely lossless. Methodology: Took initially uncompressed png and pngout'd png converted to bmp took md5sums of both observed that both had the same md5sum
