Why is it that machine translated Japanese somehow never fails to sound like a guy on meth trying to write haikus?

Quick Bug Report: Sometimes SNES9X doesn't save a movie file. To reproduce: Open an existing movie file in "Read-Only" mode. Use Shift+8 to enable editting. Load a save state. Record stuff. Stop recording. You should have the original movie, and the changes you made weren't saved.

Note: It's really, really annoying that the game automatically overwrites the save when you don't resume the save. It's also really, really annoying that the game defaults the resume save to "no" I was on level 21 at 2:15. ;_;

The only anti-desync measure I know of for Gens in checking your controllers to make sure that they're 3 button.

I had a odd bug where I opened up VBA and it ran at 300% speed. (I have / linked to 300% and * linked to 100%). Anyway it seemed that 100% was mapped to 300%, all the other speeds worked fine (87% 116% etc. even 300% was 300%) the problem fixed itself after I restarted VBA though. I'm not sure how to reproduce the bug though.

Answer to the series problem. Consider the first 9 terms of the series: 1/1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4 + 1/5 + 1/6 + 1/7 + 1/8 + 1/10 Each of these numbers are less than or equal to 1, therefore their sum is less than 9. Now consider the next 72 (9*8) terms in the series: 1/11 + 1/12 + 1/13 ... 1/87 + 1/88 + 1/100 Each of these numbers are less than 1/10, therefore their sum is less than 72/10. And now consider the next 576 (9*8*8) terms: 1/101 + 1/102 + 1/103 ... 1/887 + 1/888 + 1/1000 Each of these number are less than 1/100, therefore their sum is less than 576/100. Continue this and you wind up with the following series: 9 + 72/10 + 576/100 + 4608/1000 + 36864/10000 ... This simplifies to 9*sum((8/10)^n). Which is a convergent series by the ratio test. Because this series converges and is greater than the original series then the original series must also converge.

Actually upon closer inspection there seems to only be two syllables uttered, the other two are just mirrors of the first. So what is she saying? Almost certainly not a complete sentance, and probably not even a complete word. As for the name Reona, it's not very common, but it is a Japanese name.

It might be "Reona" shortened for stagenameship. No kanji was listed on the profile page, so that seems most likely.

Xebra, it's seems to be four syllables long. It couldn't be all that important. As for the vowels it seems to be 2 "ah"s or "oh"s an "ee" and an "eh" I cannot tell the consonants very well.

Yes, but why do you believe you need your account deleted? You could just abandon it.

Actually they become Guest posts named 'megaman.' (When Guest posting is enabled you may enter a name that isn't already the name of an existing member.) However, Bisqwit seems to have slightly modified his phpBB install and deleting that account may indeed break the system, especially if the user has submitted movies. Then again, I haven't actually looked at the backend of this site, so this is all speculation.

Consider the harmonic series, remove every term containing a 9 (1/9 1/19 1/90 1/99 1/32495 etc) Prove that the resultant series converges.

Edit: Btw I see people saying that Rainbow Road was good, I'm too lazy to watch that far, was it better than in the vid at the link I posted?
Actually it's about 15 seconds slower... Now I want to retract my vote.

hmm... I too am conflicted. It's rather entertaining in places, but in other places it just looks sloppy. I disagree with the Genisto's assertion that a perfectly played run would be boring. The most entertaining moments I found in the movie were the parts played as fast as possible. I'd rather see a video that mocks the hardest difficulty by lapping the computer than one that stuggles and just barely finishes first. But that's just me. I do think it should be published if only for Rainbow Road (which was absolutely amazing).

nitsuja, I have a request, I really liked the hex (or rather I really liked being able to read exactly where the analog stick is), can you leave an option to convert the entire thing back to hex or just the analog stick?

Watching the video again I noticed a few places where I could improve it, and I've given hex editting a shot. It should be about 10-15 seconds faster when I get done.
