I choose mine as being the most pompous nickname possible, while still being unique (I choose it back in late '99 and to this day when you google it I'm the only result...)

I'm pretty sure that the CD expansion includes extra memory that isn't saved in a regular savestate. Chuck Rock 2 may not be using this memory. However, this theory remains in the realm of unfounded speculation.

Hold up, I'mma make some tests with the cannon and the blast away the wall star. I'm sure I've grabbed the star without landing on anything.

Yes. You didn't forget disksys.rom, did you?
No, I thought it wasn't a disksystem movie, they have a regular rom called Eggerland as well.

This was a disk system movie? EDIT: Looks great so far, didn't see anything that I thought could be improved, but then again I'm not a Lolo buff.

left+right build. I've tested the file on another ROM and it crashes FCEU as well. How did you download it, anything unusual?

It's the .fcm file, I promise, filespace.org doesn't handle the file correctly.

The reasoning behind taking out the ground collisions is that is doesn't vastly affect the outcome (unlike considering air resistance), and it takes the problem out of nonlinear differential equation territory and into linear diffeqs. You get an absurdly tiny number either way. For a nickel the actual value is something like 1/6000, for those who want to do sanity checks on their results. (And the reason why I solved it volumetrially initially is because I was worrying about the center of gravity staying between the corners. Besides, either way the ratio is the same, which is what we're worrying about.)

Ignoring collisions with the ground as they affect rotation direction and speed.

Meaning all collisions with the ground have no effect on the spinning of the coin and can be ignored. The coin will come to a stop but ignore collisions with the ground. Reeds are the little bumps on the edge of the coin. @BoMF: Stay on its edge after coming to a stop. @xebra: That's what I thought at first as well; however, if you work it out in that direction you come up with a ~4.6% probability that it will stay on its edge.

Here's one, (and I have figured this one out actually). Assuming that air resistance is the only significant source of friction for a flipped coin , and that the center of gravity is in the exact center of the coin, and that reeds have no effect on the outcome, and all contact with the ground is perfectly elastic, what is the probability that standard US quarter will land on its edge when flipped?

41.58 on Ancient Lake, was that during a race or on time trail. Because I was able to get in the low 50s in time trail, but during a race I got it down to 42.73 once.

A faster way to start 5-9 is to backflip->wall-jump, jump, backflip->wall-jump up to the first switch you activate instead of climbing up 2 ladders to get there. If you can walljump off of a handstand jump then that could be substituted for the first backflip to reach the wall sooner.
By the elevator near the key?

(And 5-6 looks kind of slow for some reason, with the way the hammer was handled.)
I would have lost the hammer if I would have fallen the entire way and rolled. A roll forces forward movement, meaning I'd have to turn around to grab the hammer anyway. Then turn around again. And because I hit the ground the running guy wakes up earlier meaning I have to kill him with the hammer. :/

OK, thanks, I'll try some tests with variations of these plugins and their settings on that movie and see if I can get it to not stay in sync.
I have since messed with it a bit more, and have gotten it to work again. These settings were: Same Graphic, Same Sound, the 1.82 version of the Input, and the same RSP. I went in and disabled the mempak. Then I closed the emulator and reopened it, then I had to reenable the mempak. Then I closed the emulator and reopened it, now I can't get it to sync again.
