That sort of thing requires arbitrary depth recursive looping which is only possible in C++ through templates (which needs a recompile) and in scripting languages through an eval statement. And it's too late in the evening for me to be doing things like that. But rest assured, it is really simple and who knows, I may find the motivation to write up a really quick perl script for it tomorrow morning.

Or how about sacrificing all your pieces only to checkmate the opposing king with only a Pawn and your King?

Gamma(4) yields a 3. And also, if you have logs then any number can me produced with only 3 instances of 4.

An interesting exercise is determining the amount of 4 necessary to make the integer in question using whichever purity level. Of course, I can define a series of functions that returns an particular integer when feed a four. Making *any* mathematical symbol a bit trivial.

Read a bit closer, he (flag) *is* improving the 11-exit SMW run. The SDW:TLC run is being worked on by jxq.

If you have the emulator version of this all you have to do is stop the movie when he gets inside the pipe in 1-2 and then move over to the pipe and go down.

Rock Candies are 300 damage to each enemy. And it cannot miss. So if you have 3 enemies that's 900 damage, if you have more it's more. The Lazy Shell is indeed rediculously powerful. But I don't remember him using it all that much in his last run.

The extra paper placements are decided when you spawn. To manipulate them you need to adjust the frame that you start. That or die a few times.

He doesn't use the Lazy shell that much in the run though, and the item attacks he has are much more powerful.

Well, no, -chan is the diminutive form of the honorific -san. It's pronounced chan because most little Japanese children say "-san" as "-chan." Sometimes young women will refer to really old, close friends (from childhood) as "-chan." However, I doubt that you've known Saturn since you were both tots. A more appropriate form to use would be "-kun." But only if he's younger, I don't know how old Saturn is. Or even better, speak in English. Not Otakuese. About the new run... ;_; But I wanted to see Yoshi's Island 100%....

Yeah, but then again Shadows of the Empire had piss poor level design, for example, there's at least one challenge point that I know of (in level 2) that requires a jetpack (which you don't get until level 4 or 5). I discovered it while messing with the debug code.

I'm pretty sure that each coordinate is a one byte value, so 2 bytes for the stick plus another 2 for button data = 4 bytes for controller. So only about twice as big as a normal movie file. What I'm worried about is abusing diagonals. The analog stick can register a (127,127) value, but only if you remove the plastic ring. What this means is that if it's decided to allow it you can walk over 2/5 faster than normal. If not how will this be enforced. Storing as polar coordinates and converting perhaps?

Yeah, defending Europe does have the forked to death syndrome. It all depends on how bad the CPU's AI is. Perhaps having one CPU get most of North America and another get most of Asia from the get go, but have them move last so the other CPUs attack them. And it's three less units per turn, to potect two less contries. Again, I've never messed with the videogame, so I have no idea how manipulatable the AI is.

When I hit something breakable with the pogostick normally what's supposed to happen is I bounce off of it; however, if you let go of the pogostick exactly two frames before hitting the block (or badguy) you instead kill him and don't bounce. A good example of where this saves time is the ice level where I fall through the blocks and the enemy to have as much time as possible on the ice. A good example of it in action is at the end of Transylvania with the ghosts, I break blocks with it repeatedly for no good reason. This was used in Genisto's run. Phasing through bosses only works when the boss is invulnerable, this is used to hit the boss early where normally I would have to wait. Also, it makes me look like Superman or something. This was used in Genisto's run. Pogojumpping in the snow is used to gain height during the Yeti boss battle. It saves a few seconds. This was used in Genisto's run. I'm not saying you haven't done it, but if you were able to pull it off consistantly I bow before your skills. It's a one frame window. Getting stuck in a nonsnow substance is achieved by getting stuck in the snow and then jumping out and pogoing an enemy the moment it spawns on the snow or in the case of the Yeti lands on the snow. Genisto used it to get stuck in the Yeti, but it cost him a third of a second, I instead used it to get stuck in the treasure box. The only reason I listed it is this is the most visible glitch, all the rest are completely transparent if you haven't played the game yet. The mine boss glitch I found the most interesting because of possible abuse in the future, al la Rockman zipping perhaps. However, I was completely unable to find a place where it's useful, so I just gave it a cameo apperience.

42 contries, 6 characters. If you are playing first you could manipulate yourself the entirety of Europe. Not very defendable, but 5 extra a turn.

Time saving glitches. Falling through things with the pogo stick is normally not allowed, and phasing through the bosses isn't either, nor is pogoing on the snow (these require that I let go of the pogo stick two frames before breaking the block, not pressing left or right while in the bosses hit box, and letting go of the pogo for exactly one frame three frames before you land respectively) Collision detection was also abused for the first hit of most bosses that jump in order to hit them as soon as possible. And if you consider it a glitch, I also grab ropes to speed me up in the Amazon. Others Then the glitch where I get myself stuck in midair to get the treasure after fighting the Yeti. And during the battle in the African Mines I glitch myself into the floor for a short while. (It took a hit so its around 10 frames and barely visible, instead of just one frame, it's right before I hit the wall with my cane)
