Oh, and Omni: it's spelled unintelligible. ;)
Not in Omnish. I mean honestly, what else would I be speaking in?

Well, I could switch versions. But it'll probably set a bad precedent and cause controversy and general angst. I redid the third stage. Some minor improvements. Plus a minor glitch showed off during the boss battle. Current progress: My 13775 vs. Gen's 13860 http://www.nerdparadise.com/crap/Omni/DuckTales-Omni.fcm

Actually, the stated reason was he wanted to show us all the terrible terrible character art. =3

Or, perhaps we can make an SRAM repository, a trusted source plays the game through once, or we use an existing run of the same game to generate the appropriate SRAM, and then host it on the site.

...unless you happen to be trying to talk in another language. In German or Japanese that sentence has quite a few errors. In fact one may say that it's completely unintelligable.

Or instead you could just make every savestate an entire movie file, instead of using branches. It's simpler if more hackish.

I know for certain that you can put snes9x on a PSP. However, I don't know how. But a new PSP will probably have already closed the hacking routes used in that particular install.

If I could find a way to skip Launchpad it would save 4 frames, assuming I can do it immediately with no windup. I gained about a second over Genisto in the first level. (Hard to tell because it's in Famitasia) And I have no ideas about speeding up anything else. I was even forced to manipulate the Transylvania boss in what seemed like the exact same way (3 frames of waiting for me). If anyone actually wants to see it I'll continue. But don't get too excited about it. Nothing game breaking, or even original really.

I went to the end of level 3. But I was unable to find any time savers in 2 or 3. So, I'm abandoning this unless someone really wants to see it. All it will wind up being is a rehash of Genisto's run with a faster 1st level, and less wobbling.

Angerfist its called the "%20" trick.. or whatever.. just add %20 instead of spaces ( like omni did )
Note: Don't change the name of the file on the server, or rather it's not necessary to. All webbrowsers read %x as a character of hex value x. 20 is the hex value of a space. This allows browsers to navigate to and display suitably f*cked up names involving carriage returns and nulls in theory. Another way of making it link is to wrap it in BBCode or HTML.

@Angerfist: Next time try to use urls without spaces in them. Spaces in filenames make the baby Darwin cry. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/54/Mega%20Man%204%20(U).fcm

I saw a speedrun the other day which skipped grabbing Launch Pad altogether. I think. I'll check when I get home. Does it speed it up somehow?
It may or may not, I was unable to skip Launchpad. My longest Pogo wasn't long enough. I might be missing a trick.

Because Donkey Kong is a long game and I hate the vines in world 4 with a passion, I figured I'd try something quick and easy. http://www.nerdparadise.com/crap/Omni/DuckTales-Omni.fcm First level complete around a second quicker than Genisto's published video. AFAICT most of the gains came from using the vines to speed myself up in a Rockman-esque fashion, and better Launchpad grab.

It's because "they" were watching you. And then "they" lost interest.

OK, I've actually watched the run now, and I have to vote no, because it wasn't precise enough. It just didn't have a polished feel, especially the parts where you were doing the "syncronized swimming" part you clearly weren't doing it as quickly as possible. And there were definately places where you stopped to separate the characters for no good reason. You didn't utilize the mine carts to there fullest. Etc. It's ok, but it suffers from the death of one thousand cuts.

No, he's suggesting you do a two player run that meets or exceeds the quality of the already published one player run. And also, keep away from the lag.
