If it desyncs right after exitting the house, make sure you're using the new version of snes9x. The one with Up+Down enabled.

And it seems that wobbling northward while holding an object is slow, you only move 1 pixel a frame.

I'm having a bit of trouble opening the ROM I got (Cocoron (J)). It's giving me "iNES mapper #161 is not supported at all." when I try to open it.

FozzBozz, but into safe mode if you can (hit F8 during after POST), then open a command window and run this command: chkdsk /r /x It'll say that it cannot lock the drive and ask if you want to scan next boot up, say yes. then type shutdown /r /t 00 Then let it boot and scan your disk. Then if it boots up place your XP CD in the tray and open up a command window and type: sfc /purgecache Then sfc /scannow if the a windows doesn't pop up. This is a best case scenario though.

Why three bytes a frame? There's only 16 buttons on both controllers... EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot about the XYZ.

Good Luck, and here's to hoping your name doesn't have long streams of consonants, so everytime they say your name it doesn't take 5 syllables. ^^

I feel kinda bad for making this run while Omni was already working on it.
Actually, this takes the pressure off of me. ^^; I was half afraid that you weren't going to work on one. Besides, if you guys had to wait on me it'd be 2143 before I ever finished it. And this way I have a spiffy baseline to work my testing from, and compare myself to.
I hope Omni keeps working on run. It will be nice to see how different routes/methods work out. I only hope his run isn't very influenced by my run because this way he is more likely to find out new cool stuff and then the best of both runs can be comined forming a super run. Although I don't want to be the one to combine, it took so long to do in the first place :) :) Feel free to take the wobble though, there's no reason not to except consistancy/pain.
Don't worry, I'm not going to slavishly follow your path. ^.^ Unless, of course, if happens to be the fastest one (Doubtful, but possible). But I'm very interested in making the wobbling work. So, if I may pick your brain for a minute, you mentioned pixel counting, from what I gather from your submission text (and some of my own testing): regular walking is 2,1,2,1,2,1 &c. wobbling is 2,2,2,2,2 &c. diagonals are 1+1,1+1,1+1 &c. dashing is 4,4,4,4 &c +32 frames of windup dashing on a diagonal is ??? (hella fast, fastest form of movement I know of) hookshotting is exactly as fast as wobbling (windup for however long you'll move + 4,4,4,4,4,4) walking with sword or pot yet to test, I assume 2,1,1 which can be made to wobble as fast as regular wobbling

Actually, it seems as if he glitched out the wait period. And you can strike the Moldorm battle, Link floats remember. :) As for the Ganon Battle, I doubt it would take much longer, he has a lot of time to kill waiting on Ganon to go to his 3rd phase of battle. But landing 6 hits on Trinexx's body vs 3 hits will be a chore. But not much slower. I'd go through the movie again to enumerate what he kills with the Gold Sword. But it's 2 AM here. EDIT: And I forgot to mention this, but where you glitch out the items to throw and swipe the sword at the same time: classy.

Voted yes, but I did see some parts where it could be improved a little. But I doubt even 30 seconds can be made from micropath optimizations. Good job finding the wabble trick, I would have never found it.

The closing of the door is activated by the getting of the bombs, not by entering the room.

Well, I think of it as sorta a mix between Lain, with it's convoluted plotline and contemplative motives, and Hellsing, with lots of kickass action. I could almost bring myself to do a Real Ultimate Power parody of it. EDIT: You know, reading back on that it sounds like an absolutely stupid way to describe it. You probably shouldn't listen to me, just go download it.

Heh, forgot to mention Shingetsutan Tsukihime. It's the Hellsing of 2004, only cooler.
