First Level reflections: Nothing impressive, even though only about 60 enemies come after you the entire level, you let 2 get away. Also, the boss battle can be done far, far faster. Move around more, are there any speed upgrades? Second Level reflections: Kill more enemies. Kill boss faster!!! *faceplant* I gave up here.

i'm well aware of this video, i just assumed that a longer one was created to include all pendants/crystals (ie completed the right way) with no confirmation on whether the above glich was allowed or not
Currently my first run through is at the Master Sword. I'm in the process of planning out everything for a second go through though. My progress with that is I'm building a collection of maps, complete with enemy placements and what items are in which bottles. Then I'll plan my route, taking into account what items I need where, when I switch items or not, &c. But all this information was in the last two pages. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but you could have easily found this for yourself.

Slayers does get old after a while. But it took until the middle of season 3 for me. It got DBZ-esque. Beck is friggin awesome though.

I've watched the entire series. I've also watched many many other anime series. DBZ isn't nearly as impressive as most try to make it out to be, especially when you put it against GTO, Get Backers, Naruto, Ah! My Goddess, X, Angel Sanctuary, any Ghost in the Shell, &c &c &c. Even ones that aren't all that great, like Metropolis, I still enjoyed much more than DBZ. It is a bit older than those that I've mentioned, true, but you also have better series from the late 80s early 90s as well, Ranma 1/2 for instance. Naruto has better action, so does a number of animes. X has much better storyline, along with almost any other anime you can name. More realistic characters can be found in a 4 year old's notebook of scribbles. All it has going for it, really, is the shiny thing factor. And most people grow out of that.

Well, I don't care for it much either, all of the fights degenerate into two guys powering up for extended periods of time to unleash one attack which always fails. See you next episode. And the dubbing sucks. I've never seen the subbed version though.

That's not mathematical induction. Mathematical induction relies on proving one example and then proving for n that n+1 works as well. So with that in mind: The sun rose yesterday. For all days the sun rises it will rise the following day. Therefore the sun rises on all days starting from yesterday at least. Now the burden of proof lies with the second line. And I'd like to see that proven.

Those are the access logs for Apache. I don't know *how* suraimu changed his browser to do that, but it's like the little quote on IRC when you /whois someone. Only it shows up in the Apache log.

Super Demo World : Super Mario World :: Super Mario Bros. 2j : Super Mario Bros. Probably a futile gesture, but does someone want to contact the author and Nintendo and see if they can't get together to make a little deal? I would very much like to play this on a console.

The Gold Sword doesn't save that much time over the Tempered Sword, because the only reason I'll be killing things is to collect items, or rupees or if it's somehow required by the game. The cane saves lots of time in various places. The hookshot saves even more time nearly everywhere (the total speed, including the wind up, is as if you're walking on a diagonal, maybe faster, but because it's an item, I'll have to count frames to see if it's worth the switch and switch back).

I can think of a *few* places where getting hit *may* save the 3 seconds the game tacks on. But I'm in the lowest in game time camp. And I didn't know that about the a+b. Makes sense though.

My, that's an impressive game. I loved the part right before the Boo level, where everything was intentionally glitched up.

Honestly, I was more concerned about the lag than the screams of terror. It's not normal lag, it's frame dropping lag. (Game proceeds at normal speed with less frames of display) And I'll definately switch if I can get 0-3 working right. I like the colors. The extra loading time doesn't bug me, it actually makes the game easier to perfect because before I had to start inputting two frames before it started to switch, rather than 3 frames after it.

The cane has no use to my knowledge in dungeon 2, but the hookshot speeds things up a little in 6. However, the cane has use in 3 and saves around 10 seconds. But, I haven't tested 6 with the firerod yet. Titan's Mitt has no real use in 2, Tempered Sword does though. The hookshot is perhaps useful in 4. But I'll probably do 1 4 2 because 2 is far out of the way and quicker to get there with the bird.

Hmm... SGB version is a bit laggy in some places, and I can't get the platform trick to work in 0-3 (but I may not be trying hard enough). Wall jump still works. There's more loading time, 5 frames difference per level and another 50 or so at the start screen. Also, there's no screams of terror from Paula. ;_; All in all it seems like the exact same game with some timing adjustments. If I can get the 0-3 trick to work I'll switch. I'm still going to do the 0s over because they're looking slow.

Hmm... they seem to have begun releasing LttP maps at vgmaps.com (YEY!) That, along with the two maps of the sub levels, and I can make maps for everything. So, I'm entering a planning phase, very detailed, I'm going to decide where I'm going to go, which pots I'll take, which enemies I'll kill, what I'll get from them, when and where and how I change items, when and where I dash or hookshot, when I get hit and why, how many bombs/arrows/rupees/magic/hearts I'll have when and where, etc, etc. The only thing I'm leaving to chance is how I kill the enemies, because I can't simulate that with a map, but for everything else I'm going to cross all the bridges now, so I don't look like a dummy when I cross the wrong one the wrong way. It also looks as if my path through the dungeons will be: 1 2 4 6 3 5 7 or 1 4 2 6 3 5 7 pending testing.

Some of the parts look like they can be done faster, (for instance, in your previous video you did the major in the 3rd time before you reached the Guck.) Parts of Heck look like they can be done slightly faster as well. And although it's much faster this time around, you can probably go faster through Down the Tubes. But overall it's a great run. Yes from me.
