The bomb just takes too long to explode. And if you're worried about Turtle rock, it's only faster to levitation glitch in one or two spots. I'll be using the cane/hookshot on most pits. I never noticed the glove thing. Very subtle, speaks to the attention to detail. And I have *never* beat this game. =D

I have to ask one thing about the old part which I know you won't go back and redo... at 55580, you walk to the right to pick up a pot and get a key. After this you run the same path to the left. Shouldn't either walking or running be faster both times?
Actually, because I have to wait for the key to be grabbable, and the little time I wait is put into charging the run, they are exactly the same amount of frames. I ran because it looks faster and it's more difficult to do.

For the tower and new parts: 63700: after walking the first ladder, can you dash right and then up? The distances seem long enough for it to pay off.
It's slower. ^^;

64440: after the second ladder, how about walking a tile to the right, and then dashing down and then right? One less dash-startup.
I didn't think of this. Thanks.

65560: After warping and jumping down the ledge, how about walking up a bit and then dash all the way to the right until you reach the stairs?
Nor This. Double thanks.

Tower boss: Does everything give the same damage to this boss? Thinking mostly of charged sword vs regular sword. I am guessing this is so, I am only making sure.
Yeah, only the sword does damage and it doesn't matter if you're charged or not. Some other places I know I can improve are after the first mirror I move up and to the left instead of straight left, and then dash. I can use a mini-Moldorm to cancel my pot pickup animation and knock me forward. And I might be able to do the room with the first key a little quicker (maybe a frame). And I have to double check my menu navigation. I'll see if I can't hex the floating tile room back because I don't feel like doing that again, though I'll try to fix the frame I lost there. >.>

Also, since you're right up to it, you don't have to stand so close to pick up the master sword. You can be hardly standing on the steps at all and still collect it. Are you sure your route to and through the forest is the fastest? It seems to have more pegasus dashes than necessary.
That was the first possible frame. And I'll double check my dashes, but I'm pretty sure that it's optimal. Then again *points to horrible Death Mountain dashing, sweatdrop*

Are you timing from the moment you select the file? If so then I was at 24:40 at the moment I picked up the Tower of Hera pendant.
I'm pretty sure the times Omni gives are from power on (including the time it takes to get through the title screen and name and create a character). I agree it seems like the routes and the Moldorm battle can be optimized more.
Well, the Moldorm battle is just about optimal, unless I can find a way to spawn him closer to where I jump down, (I didn't put too much effort into this because I knew I'd be doing it again). But other than that I hit him the first frame he was vulnerable. But I know the routes need more work. ^^;

=D I was trying to remember the name of that game. That's the one where you have to keep flipping your hourglass, right?

That would make it a signed short. But the idea is still the same. And most everything in NES uses shorts.

But you'll only want it to fire 30 times a second. And if your computer or game lags then it gets off sync.

Save: Shift + F1-F12 Load: F1-F12 If you have other questions please, please, please read the FAQs Also, if you're using nitsuja's improved version of snes9x (highly recommended), then you can check (and change) which buttons do what by going to Input -> Customize hotkeys.

Well, it's not so much the density of tricks, as you have a top speed, it's how far off center you are when you finish. I was never able to beat 25.07, but I was able to match it. I didn't put too much effort into it though, because you have to beat each track three times. And to get the quickest lap times you have to let yourself fall behind Bronzen to abuse the handicap. But no matter what you do it's hard to make this game even marginally more impressive than a regular speedrun outside of the trick stages.

Hmm... I wasn't aware you could pick up the key while moving up. EDIT: 1-1: 145 1-2: 143 Still working on 1-3

As noted a few pages back, I've lost about 3 seconds so far. Going back I also noted more than a few places where I could have saved a frame or more. I plan to just finish this one and use it as a measuing stick whenever I come back to this vid. If anything, if it doesn't get published then it'll be a good starting point.

Luck manipulation.
I didn't encounter any objects. And b) would be faster, but I was never able to pull it off.

'qwit is probably asleep, and I cannot delete any but my last post. And you seem to be afraid of the Edit button, so I'll not dare expose you to it. So, are you going to work on this time attack or fill up the thread with things better reserved for the Off Topic boards. And if 'Qwit or a mod is reading this please regard this as a request to clear this thread of clutter.

SSV, you aren't. You have to have the rom to watch it unless someone wants to encode and host the avi for you. And I don't see that happening anytime quickly, or slowly, or at all.

Dear sweet Zelda I have not forgotten about thee. http://www.nerdparadise.com/crap/LoZLttP-Omni-WIP.smv Not *much* of an update. But it'll do 'till I can fully plan the third dungeon. Note: It's faster to go around the pit than to go over it, unfortunately. As you only go half speed while voidwalking.

Here's something I threw together to give a feel of the best way I know to go through the 0th level. http://www.nerdparadise.com/crap/DonkeyKong-Omni.vbm You'll need to use v1.0, as v1.1 has different timing and you jump slightly lower, iirc.
