Cool! I didn't know you could manipulate the hyenas like that. Yes, I also encourage you to continue this run and wish you the best of luck. I didn't think this would be the definitive version so it's not a disappointment to me. I will cancel this submission because it's more improvable than I originally thought. Maybe by 20-30 seconds. You can host previews in Genesis forum if you wish. I hope to see your version soon.

SprintGod said he wouldn't do another Sonic run until frame advance was installed in Gens. Now that Gens9c has it, I'd like to hear what he has to say.

ARGH! Still no third port! =/ Good to see frame advance though, maybe SprintGod will be motivated now to make another Sonic run... EDIT: Didn't know frame advance was available in Gens9b as well...

If it was Simba's Return, then yes I had to kill all hyenas in each room in order to advance to the next.

Oh, I'm sorry about that, my comp was acting up last night. Strange, I didn't see anything on the workbench after I tried to submit it. I apologize. "Evil copy agent"? What is that?

I don't mean to sound like a prick, but it does seem awfully suspicious to have two bad sonic runs submitted days apart from eachother, by two different users who have just joined. Also, their first course of action was to submit a run...of sonic. It seems like something marsh would do. But it could just be a coincidence...

SMW full: the thing that bothers me about this game is that the game is pretty easy as is and harder to optimize. For instance, the run we have here is slower than people can do it legitimately, apparently.
What?!

A couple of things I noticed: -You can jump and fire without wasting time, instead of that delay caused by being stationary when firing. -The "ninja star levels" are done very lazy. I think you missed more shots than actually made the mark. Also, many of the ninjas escaped. -You backtrack sometimes when you could've done otherwise. With these suggestions and the ones Arc stated, I think you can improve this significantly. Until then, I'm voting no.

Man, that was strange. Reminds me of those space and police quest games. This movie seems more like a normal movie rather than just someone playing through a game extraordinarily. I'm surprised I had never heard of this game before. Just strange enough for a yes vote :)

2.) constant jumping (to me) made the run a lot more less enjoyable as after the first 10 000 yoshi jump noises i started thinking (f**k this is annoying). i know your not gonna redo the whole run but this was perhaps the worst part of the run IMO. your playing was next to flawless as i did'nt notice even any minor mistakes.
I'm a sucker for aesthetics, so I didn't mind the jumping at all. I thought the run was very enjoyable.

Gens' setup is currently my favorite of everything. You can map the save/load state buttons. You can set how slow you want things to run after you enter slow-down mode...which is ALSO mappable in the joypad setup screen. Might I recommend (if it's at all possible) to do something similar?
Completely agree. Gens has a very simple and straight-forward setup which is easily accessible when creating a movie.

It's for Genesis. The deal is Gens 9a can support only two ports, but there is an option for a 3rd or 4th player. However, it is part of a multicart and cannot be saved to the movie file when recorded. Instead, they are inactive. Only the ports are saved to a .gmv, not any multicart player. When the next Gens is released (who knows when that will be) hopefully there will be more than 2 ports, and only then will there be a third player option. I asked about this in the Gens forum: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1477 It's too bad, because I really want to do this.

I saw the Gradius II partial run and greatly enjoyed it. The use of the options are magnificent. I'm sure the expansion of the new environments will keep the entertainment value steady. I'd say continue your work on it. I haven't seen your other runs, only because I've never played those games, so I can't comment on them.

I found the 70-star run to be more entertaining and exciting than the 16-star run, although the glitches are incredible.

What a nice surprise after being gone for a day! I can't believe you were able to cut off 8 minutes from the original. I see you were able to collect more scrolls, and the shorcuts using the enemies showed good usage of the environment. Also, this game has some great music, which it seems as if it were made for a high-speed game. I couldn't see anything you can improve on so you have my vote again. Great job!
