Good luck. Be sure to use frame advance (a game of this needed precision is absolutely necessary). Also, look up information regarding the game mechanics (glitches, etc.) Also here are a couple of older threads you can look at for some information: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2794 http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3678

Cool movie. But I gotta wonder: How can you fight Dorian as The Mask when he also has a mask on?

Looks good. I just have one question: The boss where you fight the skeleton that gradually gets bigger - why didn't you defeat him close to the door so you didn't have to walk as far?

I've seen these people before. It's almost funny to hear these people try to justify their beliefs. Seriously, Adultery=Homosexuality? I couldn't help but laugh at just how ridiculous their belief structure is (especially to a man who wasn't born in America). You can tell they're all extremely scared about disobeying the Bible (not God) and even the most obscure law in the shortest chapter. They're also very guilty about whatever sin they committed when they were 4 years old or any other bad thing they might have thought for 2 nanoseconds. I have experience debating people who have deep religious convictions and they're all the same. They talk big and say they're bullet-proof, but once their arguments have been shot down, they'll resort to angry statements like "Well, look: God created us and if you don't believe it, you're going to Hell! PERIOD!" Now, these people are a part of the very, very small minority of Christian churches. In fact, like he insinuated, its akin to a cult. Most Christians are respectful, reasonable who do not try to push their beliefs on others. However, <MovieTrailerGuy>in a world where belief in the Bible is waning, this is just a natural product of that progression.

There used to be a Funkoland where I live. I believe it's all GameStop now.

Great run so far, Nitrodon. Have you made any progress since or are you not releasing any more WIPs until submitting?

Linkin Park? pfff... For a video game movie, things should be fast-paced. I nominate DragonForce - Through the Fire and the Flames

I guess Krysimys has a point about Baelog, but that would be cool for Olaf to turn into a skull :) Anyway, looks good. Keep going!

If anyone is considering doing a LV2 run, they should probably get the "super powers" from the first level, if only for the fact that it allows Baleog to jump across pits and Scorch to have infinite flight. You can get them on the first level by going to the highest point on the stage, having Erik jump off Olaf's shield and double-jump, aiming for the lowest point--if it's far enough, Erik will take falling damage. Repeat until dead, and the game will say "I can't believe you died on the first level!" and give you the powers, which are; Baleog: (Up+B) makes him leap forward, damaging whatever he comes in contact with--plus, no more only relying on the arm to cross pits. (Down+B) is a series of slashes forwards and backwards which looks impressive, but only wastes time. Erik: (Down+Y) fires off a large spark which does pretty good damage. Olaf: As far as I can tell, pressing three of the main buttons (A, B, X, Y) causes him to turn into a skull and kill enemies, but I'm not sure which. Fang: (Tapping Y) makes him undergo self-electrolysis (no results, though), which happens to damage enemies who come in contact with him. Scorch: (Mashing B) no longer makes Scorch have to rest sooner--only your finger. (So, it makes it even more like an action game with these--it's good if it helps with time, though, right?)
Also, I don't consider it a cheat code, just a cool easter egg. It would most likely come in handy sooner or later...

Looks excellent and your movements are speed-efficient, but did you consider the extra abilities you get by having Erik die in the first level? Here's the original thread which has some other good info.
