If you clip through the 765 and 810 note door that would leave 260 notes to collect. You could get that by beating only 3 worlds, meaning you'd only need 7 jiggies.
You also need some moves in worlds in order to beat the final boss.
Which ones, exactly?
You need egg pooping, flying and the beak bomb, for starters (which means visiting mumbo's mountain, ttc and freezeezy peak for 9 jiggies)

If one of the earlier note doors was skippable, sure. But it's not likely you'd want to go to CCW early since everything in it takes a long time to get

What does this even mean...?
I think (he/she) means writing a program for the wii that would be able to freeze the wii and allow for frame advance. That way you wouldn't need any finicky emulation - it would Just Work. I don't know if such a program can be written though.

Try TASing same-frame coincidences, e.g. lots of glitches happen due to the occurrence of two events simultaneously, and they're processed in an unexpected order.

So correct me if Im wrong: Was the only advantage of the Tingle Tuner so that you could get out of a Zombie Hover? And does the new FW-less storage method mean we can get out of any zombie hover, even without the tuner (as described here)?
Tingle Baloons were also used. They let you walk straight off a ledge for 5 seconds, which is useful in a few places. Cosmo used one to enter the Forest Haven dungeon (see here at 2h10m30s) since it's faster than the other 2 strats which involve either returning to the boat and going up the tornado, or changing the wind twice.
Tingle tuner also gives you tingle bombs, which are used in forbidden woods to provide explosive damage early/quickly.

If three to four minutes of scrolling through menus could be saved, I think that would greatly increase the run's entertainment value.
Agreed.
Also, I believe the run ends when he finishes programming his own graphic and song into the game and lets it play.
Under this criteria, a run that can reprogram the RAM generally could be obsoleted by one that more specifically implements the desired ending (through cutting corners or otherwise). Maybe something like 'The run ends after a RAM-written routine that allows all RAM to be rewritten loses control, having gained control'? Ugh, verbose.

I think you should incorporate the improvements and make the run as optimized as possible before submitting it. A lot of members here are hard to impress with the same innovative glitch twice in a row (and more people watch the Workbench than the forum). Plus, it's better if this run isn't obsoleted in a little less than a few weeks because of a few improvements despite the majority of the run being the same.
There isn't a well-defined goal for the run*, though, so I think it should be optimized in whatever way is the most entertaining way to watch. *When do you end the run? When the entirety of RAM is overridden? You don't need to overwrite all of RAM to have full control (for example, you might write into some of it a program to rewrite the rest later, or just deign not to use all of it). You could also deign to write a different program that is less general, but faster in the specific case of what the author wants to write.

This is pretty neat; the principle's been around for ages (e.g. the infamous Twilight Hack, which does something similar except using a corrupted save file), but it's nice to see someone actually go through with it and work out all the input required.
This is a step further than the Twilight Hack - the Twilight Hack had to use a dirty save edited with out-of-game tools. This starts from a fresh save.

Using no zips is a good goal, because they usually take away part of the entertainment, but in SY3 I think the zip is way more entertaining than the utterly long wait for that enemy.
I found the SY3 long setup absolutely hilarious, in fact. Mainly because I thought he was going to use the enemy to bounce, then he did something completely unexpected with it.

I'd like to make TAS DW. However, a large quantity of rags sometimes occur when I play this game with an emu and may not accept operation during several seconds. Because this phenomenon has a big influence on the speed run, I am troubled, but I want you to hear an opinion how it is a thing that produce with holding the malfunction of the emu as TAS, but how will? (It is hard for me to express in English, so I think whether wrong points including the grammar is seen, but please permit it(>_<))
Have you tried emulating Digimon World on different computers/someone else's computer? It may help narrow down the cause of the problem.

Very nice work! The funny thing is, I was thinking of TAS'ing this game just last week, and now you've beat me to it. And yes, I think route planning makes for a valid TAS. Yes vote; we need more games from this era. Who's up for Alley Cat? :)

Do you think it's possible that there is an improvement in the run of SMB3???
Yes, the current run is improvable by 1 frame. However, the run will look significantly worse as a result. Which is why I'm not doing it, and AFAIK is why no one else is doing it.
What is the one frame of improvement?

yes but the purpose of tasvideos.org is to list the best records ...
The purpose of the TAS listing is, yes (with exceptions for games where fast = boring, and for those games the most entertaining playaround is listed instead). The forum doesn't have to be entirely about that.
and I wonder if it's possible that there is an improvement on the current record of SMB3 (anyway TASers always want to do better) ... but I think there are already TASers working on a possible improvement in the current record
I don't think anyone is working on an SMB3 improvement atm, but I'm open to being surprised.

The one thing I dislike is that the fast drum bursts sound fake (since the individual hits don't blend into each other at all and are too clean overall). Everything else is great :)

Note that the effect of luck manipulation is limited in Brogue, because each level has its own seed; you can't manipulate a level before it generates like in NetHack. (Apparently throwing monsters/items down pits does have a moderate effect, but this is considered a bug and will probably be fixed soon.)
You can manipulate every level in advance by searching the seed space for what you want (I wrote a seedscummer that does this)

When you're TASing a game as well trodden as SMB3, you should TAS it for fun or to improve your skills as a TASer - not to set a new world record. Look up TAS freeruns on youtube for an example
