Are you trying to find every separate dungeon map, or an entire map of all dungeons? Because if it's about separate maps, I got one great link for you: http://mikesrpgcenter.com/zelda3/maps.html Maybe it'll be of any use to you.

Thought it was a bit boring, honestly. Watching two minutes of just seeing you spam the attack button for every boss isn't exactly entertaining. Nothing really popped, but then again, there's not much you can do with this. Meh vote.

Ok. Is this the normal location to get the magical boomerang: Screenshots taken from the WIP I posted before. I'm asking this because I remembered getting this from the waterfall instead, unless it was changed?
No, this is not the normal location. Because you are in the Dark/Light World the game gets confused somehow. Why the Boomerang is obtained from a random chest is unknown to me, but I do know this is a glitch. I also remember you can go to the Waterfall of Wishing near the Witch's Cabin in the Dark/Light World and you can throw the Bow in there to receive Silver Arrows. This saves time over having to beat Dark World dungeon's 1 through 6, buying a Giant Bomb and using it to blow a hole into the Pyramid. You can also get the Tempered Mastersword or Golden Sword this way.

I really do find it odd that the game puts you in the dark world if you glitch into Ganon's Tower and kill Aghanim again, and I know the game soft-locked on the GBA version, but it was really weird how the game transported me back to the light world just by transitioning the screen.
That's because you haven't fought Agahnim yet. Once you reach him, the game thinks this is supposed to be the first Agahnim fight, which is why he doesn't split up like he is supposed to. Now, if this is your second time defeating Agahnim, I am guessing the game does some kind of check for if you are in the Dark or Light World. I do not know though. It's just weird.

Tested this out using the SNES version. Going through the Desert Palace using the Pegasus Boots EG and killing Lanmolas will make him give you his heart container and instead of the pendant of power, you'll get the ether medallion instead. This is a fully usable item at this point in the game, too. Here's the kicker. If you go back through the dungeon to get the pendant and the power grip, any puzzles you completed on your way through to Lanmolas will be completed and you will not be able to fight him a second time. The pendant will simply drop from above as if you'd just killed him, and completing it will return you to the entrance like it normally would. EDIT (again): Okay, so I remade the movie and finally got it uploaded. This skips the actual glitching into the map, but the area is directly to the east of the Hyrule Castle dungeon according to the overall map. The movie file includes the actual exploration to go from point A to the hoppable spot that lets me go kill Lanmolas, then the effects of going back through the dungeon (after getting the Book of Mudora to get inside). I can open up the door to the boss because I have Hyrule Castle's big key, and that's where I entered from, but I have to get it in the Desert Palace to get the power wrist, anyway.
Watched it and I am not sure if it desynched or not. Are you supposed to die in the Lanmolas fight?
IMPblackbelt wrote:
Also, I was talking about the Lanmolas and Moldorm in GANON'S TOWER, not from Desert Palace and Tower of Hera. Last time I checked, the SNES version also contains those 2 in GANON'S TOWER. Or is the SNES version drastically different in that level?
All 3 bosses from the Light World return in Ganon's Tower. There are barely any changes between the SNES and GBA versions of the game. Most is just sound effects. The only thing that's quite different is in the 5th Dark World Dungeon, the Ice Palace. In the SNES version, you could get the Cane of Somaria from the Misery Mire and use it to skip a great deal of the dungeon, allowing you to get to the boss right away. In the GBA version, you have to go through everything, because they made a small change to the room. Left-middle room is the room in question. If you want to know what changed and why, don't hesitate to ask. I just don't want to post all that if you all know it already, that's all.

I couldn't re-fight the boss of the Desert Palace, the crystal simply dropped where it was. Regardless, my knowledge of the game is very weak anymore. I had to relearn the game just to get to the point on my file... that I didn't post.

Considering that it takes particular places for Link to get out of a wall (maybe he won't at all, I believe Link actually walks below the floor, preventing his escape), this technique may not be as useful. If we find a way to exit a wall whenever, it could be a more useful strategy.
The way it works (roughly) is as follows: To get for the different floors in the game, the game has to use layers. When you use EG, you trick the game into thinking that you are still on the same layer you were, but actually being in a place where you should be on a different layer. To get out of it, there are certain rooms you can enter that will get you out of it automatically.(?) (tompa has a map of things to do with EG and what the certain rooms do if you enter them) But I think you can also switch between light world and dark world (using the mirror? I don't know LTTP very well), I can't really remember. I had a conversation with tompa about this about a month ago, so I can't remember the specifics very well, please anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I remember a video by Greenalink for the GBA version of the game where he uses the Magic Mirror in the third room of the Eastern Palace (the first dungeon). He falls through the floor and is now between layers. You can jump out of a wall, as long as it is in a room with a higher part (so stairs that don't bring you to a different floor.) This can only be done in the GBA version of the game. But now that a new technique has been found we might be able to use it similarly, so we can more or less utilize the same route to get to useful items. Here's Greenalink's video for reference: Link to video Now, about travelling between Light World and Dark World: When you exit a Dark World dungeon, but initially entered a Light World Dungeon, the game thinks you are in the Light World, but it shows the Dark World sprites. You can use the Magic Mirror to travel to the actual Dark World (normally can't be done) and using it again allows you to go back to the Light World. This could be useful.

Unless my memory fails, if you go back through, he'll drop the Ether pendant when you kill him.
There's no Ether Pendant, you're probably confusing it with the Pendants of Courage, Power and Wisdom. Second dungeon has the Pendant of Power at the end. The pendant won't drop until the Heart Container is collected. And in turn, the Heart Container will only drop once the boss is defeated.

On top of that, there's also the plethora of OOB glitches and silly things that we already know about, and since we have the full map of dungeons available to us, we can figure out which dungeons can be done with what items. Again, this isn't my specialty, but I believe that if you enter a dark world dungeon through a light world dungeon without the pearl, you should be able to stay normal since it only checks the pearl going between one world and another, not between dungeon maps. Effectively, we may be able to get our hands on the magic mirror and skip the pearl for a while by using OOB glitches to make the routing work with what items we would need; depending on where we can slip into which dungeons, we may be able to skip certain item requirements.
Correct, even without the pearl, Link stays normal. However, if you enter a Light World dungeon and exit a Dark World dungeon, the game shows you the Dark World graphics, but it still thinks you are in the Light World. Some odd stuff will appear because of that. The Magic Mirror is useful for getting back to where you entered the dungeon, but that's all it would really be useful for. In the GBA version, you could use the Mirror to get out of bounds, but to my knowledge this cannot be done in the SNES version. We could however, get out of bounds early in the game (using the same method in the most recent "glitched" TAS of LttP), so we can still using more or less the same methods. I just don't know where or how we can clip into more walls.

I would figure that the hardest part of a full 100% run would be gathering the heart pieces, but I know that lots of heart pieces are specifically in dungeon map areas accessed in towns or in Death Mountain, so it should technically be possible to grab those in places it would take hours of gameplay to reach otherwise because of item requirements and such, but some of those doors are one-way doors, anyway, so getting out may be a lot easier than getting in.
Considering that it takes particular places for Link to get out of a wall (maybe he won't at all, I believe Link actually walks below the floor, preventing his escape), this technique may not be as useful. If we find a way to exit a wall whenever, it could be a more useful strategy. Still, I'm not as knowledgeable in the LttP speed run and TAS world. So take my post with a grain of salt.

A debit card is a card you can use to pay directly from your bank account. They're more dangerous than credit cards since a criminal could potentially drain your entire bank account if they got their hands on your card data. However, they also don't require credit checks, charge interest, or other things like credit cards do.
Oh, if that is the case, I already got such a card (more or less). It's the standard here, we just call it a pin card. The card only works by directly inserting into a machine and putting in your pincode though, so it cannot be used for international shopping.

A prepaid "credit card" is really more like a debit card with an independent account, as I understand it. You put some money "on the card", and that's all the money that the card can access. They're pretty safe since the scope of potential damage is so limited; the worst case is that you lose the money on the card, and no more.
Are prepaid credit cards the same as regular credit cards you think? Would it be possible to use them for amazon? I found a credit card option online for 10,- euros. I have a link (in English): http://g.skrill.com/mastercard/en/?rid=16730621 It's from Mastercard, so it seems to work just as well. Now, I've been looking online for answers. It seems Amazon does indeed accept prepaid credit cards, but they do say this:
Amazon wrote:
Amazon.com doesn't support entering the three-digit CVV code normally found on the back of some cards. If the code is required by the issuing bank, payments may not process successfully.
It makes me a bit afraid to be honest. I don't know (and can't find online) if my bank requires a CVV code input or not. If I do, I can't pay, or at least that's what I make up out of the Amazon quote. I don't know if my fear is grounded or not. Can you help me out a little more? PS: In actual on-topic news: Mighty no 9 has reached over 1.8 Million dollars. Just 400,000 more for console versions.

My bank only offers credit cards. This (for me) comes at a price of 11,25 euros per year. I can also go for the debit cards (or prepaid credit cards as they are known here, if I am not mistaken), which costs me 10,- euros per year. I think I'll research it more and make my decision then. Thank you and Warepire for suggesting.

Getting a debit card must be simpler no? All of my contacts in the Netherlands have one, and they got it from their bank.
The thing is that I barely ever have any use for a credit card. I'd require one maybe once per year or so and there's usually an alternative. If I want something from another country, I generally use eBay for that, as they accept PayPal. So, in my opinion, it wouldn't be worth it. It's like buying a car if you only need to go someplace once every few months. I'll keep it in mind, but I'll first see if I can get any alternative means. I asked the project creator if they could input a PayPal option a day and a half ago, but I haven't had a response yet. I'll wait that out for a week and then I'll take another action.

Find a trusted friend, pay them and have them pledge on your behalf?
Maybe. No one in the vincinity though (I live in the Netherlands). It might work, thanks for the suggestion! I might know just the person.

Heyho! I've finally finished the map of all areas (except Hell Temple, Maze of Galious, and Legendary Tree), so now you can see where each area will lead to if you glitch through the ceiling and the floor. I haven't actually found a way to glitch through the floor normally, but I decided to include them so you can see how each area is structured. The way I've made these is I've placed them in rows with rooms above, below and at the side (for the few rooms you can actually glitch through the side), colouring the rooms you can reach normally green, the ones you have to glitch through to reach red and the rows themselves white. As solairflaire theorized, the rooms do indeed normally wrap from top to bottom. Many areas can be reached in a "logical" order both through the ceiling and the floor, though certain areas like Chamber of Birth doesn't like to follow this logical order. Well... some kind of logical order so to speak. Link here for those who's curious or wants a copy of their own: http://www.mediafire.com/download/r8eyqqnob1y9eie/La-Mulana%2C_Wall_glitch_maps.rar Now I can begin making some serious route plans. :)
Well, I took a lot at these maps you made and they are looking pretty good, but I honestly don't really understand it. I notice that on several maps (surface for example) you have the same areas listed, with differently colored lines around it. Like N3 and O3 are the same image as N6 and O6. Why is that? It's not like I have to really understand it anyway, as long as you and future TASers get it, it's good enough of course. Other than that, I am really looking forward to seeing more of this game TASed. You're doing a fine job, Tseralith.

According to the most recent update, it's partway because of that, but mostly because of fan demand. People were asking them en masse to make the console versions more readily available. It seems they did and that is a good thing.

A little update has happened on Kickstarter in case you haven't noticed or checked. They changed the stretch goals around. The Making Of documentary is now at 1.75 Million instead of 2 and the Console versions are now at 2.2 Million instead of 3. Plus, Jools Watsham from Renegade Kid has already told Keiji Inafune and his team that he'd be willing to make a 3DS version of the game. Lastly, the Kickstarter has brought up over 1.5 Million dollars as of writing, so it seems we might get console versions of this game.

I'd vote yes for the vault. It's too much of the same and Simon is too slow for this TAS to be a Moon in my opinion.

The people from the original Megaman series are making a new game. Kickstater here. The main character is not-megaman Beck. He has a not-roll partner named Call. I don't get the pun here. Overall it looks like a complete Megaman clone. And no one minds, because it is looking awesome.
It does look really cool, but why PC only? If you take a look at the furthest stretch goal, it says that they need 2.5 MILLION dollars for PS3, 360 and Wii U versions. Why? Is it that hard to transfer the game over to the consoles? They need almost triple the money they're asking for that! Anyway, the pun is that 'being at someone's beck and call' means that you are ready to do what they want to. Like a butler, or even slave. It makes as much sense as Rock and Roll and it IS a Mega Man clone, so why not? Western version should be called 'Totally not Mega Man' though. Because that's what it IS, even they aren't hiding it: The camera scrolling up on a large building (Mega Man 2); Keiji Inafune dressed in blue, then putting on a blue hat; A girl looking like Roll walking a dog looking like Rush; A construction worker with a Met Hat on; and more. Anyway, I'm just bummed out that the game will very likely be PC only, given that they need about 6 time the money they have in a month's time. Still looks like an awesome game though.

Geez man, how many projects do you hold at the same time?! Anyway, not bad, but I do wonder why you don't turn Yoshi around in the early levels when he gets on top of the staircases. Is it slower doing it like that? You DO do it in the later levels.

The point being made is that from a clean start, you don't get the Fruit Bazooka until after World 4; you don't get the Crash Dash until after World 5. If it is possible for a TAS to achieve Platinum Relics on levels in the first playthrough, that would be preferable to delaying the time trials until after Cortex is defeated, even if the Platinum time achieved isn't "world record/best." :)
I know this has been talked about in this thread before, but I don't mind getting nothing but gold relics and a few platinums. Since getting platinum on everything doesn't make a difference at all, I guess it just looks nice. And since the TAS will be real-time anyway, you NEED to get golden relics, waiting until after Cortex would just take longer.

Aah, now I understand. Please tell me that the eventual TAS will go for realtime instead of in-game time. It would possibly be faster to collect the golden/platinum relics right away instead of getting the running ability anyway. And I simply think going for in-game time is a lot "messier" overall.

Say, upon witnessing the run, I'd noticed something. You seem to be actively avoiding picking up gems and all, presumably to save time during the percentage count and the message if you've unlocked a new minigame (at the end of each section). But, I wish to ask: Is it really costing more time to skip gems? There seems to be enough time to not postpone these parts longer and if you do, only by a bit. I believe avoiding gems actually ends up COSTING more time than it saves, so my suggestion is to test this out.
