I would rather see a run that aims for the highest score instead of a pure speed run.

This thread reminds me of an experience I had similar to the topic creator's. All I could remember about the game was that it was some kind of SNES 3-D shooter (ala Star Fox), the first level had lots of colorful blocks, and the top and bottom halves of the screen mirrored each other. I finally remember its name (Hyperzone) after watching a speed run of it.

Ah Jetpack... I remember having loads of fun with PC games like these back in the day (shareware, of course >.>). Maybe I should try making a decent level for it for the first time in my life (or a graphic pack (if only I could remember how to (it should be pretty easy to make a Rockman or Metroid pack (nested parentheses ftw)))), or finish the single play mode, or learn how to program so it can remake it for windows, or...

Watched the vid a couple days ago. It deserves a star; however, the person who programmed the video plugin should die a horrible death.

Wait a minute... GPU/SPU dumps?! Does this mean that I can hex-edit the movie file to automatically beat the game if I feel like doing so?

Then again, maybe the approximation of randomness is piss poor and we can exploit it to our hearts' content. But my guess is we can't.
I remember being able to consistantly "manipulate luck" in real time so I just walk through a room full of Wizzarobe thingies... so... the randomness generator sucks (and I think my spelling is).

Hmmm... You could do a 1-star run if you could find a way to go through the 'star doors' for the first and second Bowser levels. If so, the route would look like this:
  • Go to Bowser 1 and beat him
  • Go downstairs to Dire Dire Docks
  • Go to Bowser 2 and proceed to pwn him
  • Go upstairs as do all those glitches to get to Bowser 3 and beat the game.

Good luck! Just be thankful that you weren't sent somewhere like France. My cousin is currently on a mission in Montreal, Quebec (Spanish-speak FTW) and won't be back for another ~20 months or so. My brother 'majickaly' (TM) got infected with Mononucleosis or something at the MTC two times and therefore wasn't able to go.

I just realized that I cast the 42nd yes vote. I'm winner. - I'm eagerly awaiting version 7 (that is under the crazed assumption that a notable improvement is discovered). >_>
