Is that really the fastest you can select how much money you can deposit? doesn't D-pad work or something? Other than that, m64 works nicely and syncs up fine with antids mupen (though I get unusual mupen lag whenever the game saves..)

From 9pm GMT today the IRC channel has been lively. Nothing to worry about. It's not going to die or anything.

It gives me great joy to see such a run exist. That doesn't desync. Bowser in the Fire Sea is SOO much better in my opinion. Yes vote.

Any chance of an M64 shortly? AVI's are large and clunky.

Turn your monitor on. But seriously, monitor colours can seriously screw up those tests by altering the colours even slightly. Go to a doctor or something if you want to be really tested.

Hahaha. That'll make the movie publication all the more complicated; if we want to show what kind of "music" the player creates while playing... :)
It might even make TASing harder, where the creator might try whenever possible to make his run have the sound of gentle jazz.

1. Mukki used normal mupen. I assume you're using antids-mupen? I'm using antids, but I thought it only fixed the desynching issue at the start, i.e. where you had the play the m64 back twice to actually watch it.
Not at all. the problem is mupen's lack of clearing the save file, even during gameplay. If your savefile mismatches when it reads/writes it, that causes desyncs also. Then theres problems with savestates and stuff that was fixed..

Also, it should be noted that I've only had 3 desynchs so far, in nearly 30 minutes of play. One was before gaining control of Deku Link after entering East Clock Town for the first time, and the others were both related to the scarecrow in West Clock Town. I'm seriously beginning to think that the claims of this game being overly-desynch-prone are largely exaggurated...
This is because of two things: 1. Mukki used normal mupen. I assume you're using antids-mupen? 2. Your PC is faster than Mukki's, I assume. Don't ask me why, but this seems to have an effect.

Excellent idea, with just two minor drawbacks. 1. We don't have any rerecording tools for the Wii emulator. 2. We don't have a Wii emulator.

even better, type "services.msc" in the box and set as many services as you can to Disabled and as many of the rest to Manual, and stop as many as you can; then reboot :v

Not everyone has that key on their keyboard. The best you can do is set it to autocorrect in MSWord when writing a fanfic or something... but seriously, who writes those?
AltGr+e. or Ctrl+Alt+e. Result? é.

Yay, I'm lagging behind, but who cares. Just got Brawl, done SSE on normal difficulty 100% and I'm struggling to find stuff I actually WANT to do in the challenges. Is there anything particularly fun and unusual I can try in singleplayer? (my internet is lacking and my best gaming friend is 100 miles away so no co-op for me)

your mupen has no plugins in its plugins folder. whoops! copy the plugins from the old mupen you downloaded to the new one. then when that 2nd prompt thing comes up pick some plugins. If you have more than one option for any of the plugins, heres a brief list of them: http://www.bluetoaster.net/tasvideos/plugins.html Work your way down the list. if #1 on a list doesn't work or you don't have it, try #2 etc.

Mukki's TAS required creating a blank .fla file before it would play back, due to issues with Mupen64. I believe the anti-ds fixed that, but just to be sure, does your m64 require it?
After many different tests I figured out that what actually happened is Mukki started his run with a blank .fla in place. the difference between null filesave and an empty one caused enough frames difference to cause a problem, apparently. antids fixes this by always removing the savefile before starting a movie, before playing a movie and before loading a savestate (savestates include saveram data).

I've noticed that while theres a somewhat noticable pattern to the alternate mood numbering, the ones at the end are a bit random. I was wondering if there was a reason for this?

Can someone explain to me how this publication discussion is different from the 16-star and 0-star runs for SM64?

I've almost finished the new emu host site and design: http://www.bluetoaster.net/emunew Links are still missing (especially the about page) and things are definately not W3C compliant. I'll sort it all out when I have my internet back. Please don't change your links to the above one; it's for testing only. Please help me check everything is okay. Also suggestions would be nice :) Once everything is checked I'll replace the current site with the new one.

Probably wrong to ask this question in this topic, but I didnt want to make a new one; when encoding with x.264 lossless setting in mupen, why do my videos look like this? When I encode with any of the other settings or other codecs, it's fine, it's just that one that gives me the problem. Any ideas?
If you're using vista, make sure you have SP1.
