Needs less digg lookalike and colours. then I would seriously suggest that I like it. A bit. Maybe.

Hmm.. Voting meh. While you claim the run is perfect, theres places I've noticed that can be improved. I would improve it myself, but I'm far too busy, so you'll have to wait a couple of years until I get around to it. Sorry. More seriously, apart from being the most bizarrely drawn pterrodactyl ever (is it on jurassic drugs or something?) I took some pics: http://www.bluetoaster.net/tasvideos/subpics/1904/ Linked to avoid epic spoilers.

Voting Yes. Suggested Screenshots of interest (hotlinked to avoid epic spoilers): http://www.bluetoaster.net/tasvideos/subpics/1901/ Interesting fact: uncoldino.png is exactly 1337bytes. I think.

The mupen with reset-recording isn't officially accepted on the site, for these reasons (note: I couldn't find DeHackEd's original post but this will do)

I feel its necessary for me to abstain from voting this time. Not quite sure while I feel this to be required, but along my lines of reasoning are that its pretty much the same as the last submission which I voted yes for. Too many mini-improvements :(

I'm assuming AKA is doing one of the following: 1. Working on a WIP to show it currently. 2. Busy doing something else. 3. Keeping the input secret so that: a) Someone doesn't try to release a cheap knockoff run thats low in quality b) Other cool tricks being worked on in the run that are being kept secret aren't ruined. Personally I scourn at 3, and I hope for 1.

I was under the impression that learning a song automatically gives you the ocarina. Perhaps I was wrong with this assumption?

The sheer amount of stuff in segment 10 makes me think they are awfully brave. Then again, they also expect to walk through an open door after, which isn't going to happen I guess.

Interesting theft of AKA's thunder there. Nvm, you added credit. Still, he can post himself, you know :) From IRC (with filtered out crap):
(01:52:26) (_AKA_) I hope you people have a change of panties
(01:52:28) (_AKA_) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=suFAge6UCQQ
(01:52:39) (mmbossman) you did it?
(01:52:57) (FerretWarlord) Holy snap. O_O
(01:52:57) (mmbossman) holy shit
(01:53:06) (Kazuma) you
(01:53:08) (Kazuma) WIN
...
(01:55:15) (_AKA_) I'd say it probally saves about 25 mins

select and frame advance has some nice graphics corruption too, which I found most amusing.

Pressing select unfreezes it.. I think. Or maybe its start. Did you pause for that to happen? I don't know. I'm confused.

I would vote yes just for the sheer awesomeness of that run alone. Even if it doesn't technically finish the game. I laughed so hard at the 'ending'. Any idea what causes it? EDIT: Interestingly, I found the following: tap tab and it skips past the crash somehow and resumes playing.. EDIT2: this was because for me, Tab was also set to be the select button. Whoops.

My N95 with a 4gb MicroSD works nicely for me. If my battery runs low (it always does), I take the MicroSD out of my N95 and put it in my Nintendo DS Lite (Supercard DS ONE) and use that instead.

Way to help out the community Saturn. Four different SM runs have been published since November 26, 2006, and all you've done is sat on this information to act superior. Very classy.
I agree with all the above, except I have far more hostility and contempt.

PJ Boy has said he wanted to. He's notable, right?

If there were any information, it would have been posted here. Currently, mupen's emulation of this game sucks majorly and noone with notable TASing skills has taken the game into their list of projects. If you don't understand why this is the case, you're welcome to try yourself. Please note that the Japanese version is the only version I have got in-game without crashes.

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, JXQ's commentary was extremely funny and innovative; however, I really doubt a comedy commentary of this level can be acheived for either a future run of OoT or any other game. While I feel it should be noted somewhere, somehow for its uniqueness and it's ability to actually keep the run interesting, even during dull moments, I do not think the run which it accompanies should be saved from obsoletion purely because of the commentary. Perhaps someone can suggest another solution to the problem (for example, the author of the next submission noting it in their submission comments, publication comments, etc.)

I remember an Arkanoid game which had enemies in it and bosses. It was pretty good, but for some reason all the Arkanoid games I've tried don't have that sort of stuff. Perhaps I remember it to be far better than it was, and it was just the original Arkanoid for the NES or something. Still, can't hurt to ask here. Thanks.

no, not yet. it should be, but they have to be fair and put the tas through the same process as every other tas.
Yeah, the same process that the new SMB1 run had to go through, obviously. Also, fyi, I think it was submitted on the 18th at 2am-ish GMT.

Slightly off-topic, but I do love how Jamma's post was made at the last possible second of the 20th March. :)
