That would be the idea of a TAS yes.. Really Mr. Chamale, how much thought do you put into your posts? :) More on-topic: I want to make that robot.

Technically, is it possible to get 2 wiimotes hooked up to 1 wii?
I'm guessing you haven't played a Wii. 4 wiimotes are maximum, each with an attatchment. Also I read something about a Gamecube controller totalling 5 players, But I couldn't find the source. I wouldn't be suprised if there are games coming that use 2 wii remotes for 1 player (Did Wii Music have this option for the drum/bongo game?)

On that note, can you have 2 mouses and 2 cursors on a PC?
on Windows? Not that I know of. I read somewhere of a modification to X11 that allowed multiple cursors, though why you'd want it other than "2 cursors for the sake of 2 cursors" is beyond me.

I thought the phrase "Linux is more compatible with Windows software than Vista is" was a joke, until I actually saw Vista fail at most things... x_X
This AVI problem only occurs on RTM versions of Vista (Release to Manufacturer). Newer builds of Vista do not seem to have this problem. 90% of my programs used on XP work in Vista. Interestingly, though newer builds have the problem fixed, older builds are screwed until the SP1 because theres no hotfix :-/

Postcount and rank mean nothing in regards to who you are and what you contribute. A postcount does not tell the viewer exactly how much of said posts actually contain relevant, useful and helpful information, nor does a rank tell the viewer how much you've TASed etc (at least anymore). Edit: Changed slightly as I didn't notice the not-so-obvious sarcasm. Whoops. Guess its more of a redundant random fact now...

(20:41:39) (itsblah) besides...they run on different systems, right? (20:41:52) (itsblah) VBA wont run a movie file unless the movie file has the right system (20:42:09) (itsblah) so you would need different files for the games
Sorry, but unless its a tri-run or you're experienced in hacking VBA this probably won't work.

Tiny 1 frame improvements, and massive de-optimization in order to make all of them finish.

You might not even be able to finish all 4 at all with the same input. At least not at a decent speed.

New Video plugin called Z64. Link: http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=40640 Doesn't work in vista, but seems promising from the pictures. The beginning of the end for desyncs, or just more problems down the line? I don't know as it doesn't work, but maybe someone would like to check it out and let me know. Enjoy. Edit: Quickstart for those that don't want to read his long post, heres what you need (Windows): glew32.zip rsp-pj64-ziggy-r4-win32.zip (or latest one available) z64-r14-win32.zip (or latest one available) Extract all to plugins folder. .conf file has resolution settings in it.

Update. Latest Experimental VirtualDub (1.7.2 @ http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/) supports loading AVIs with corrupted header (Vista's AVIs) and as such, all my problems are solved. While long winded, I can open any AVI up with VirtualDub, do a direct stream copy, then save it to a new AVI before using mencoder to fondlencode it. Hope this helps anyone who had the same problem. AFAIK, an actual fix for Vista will be in SP1.

When flying towards the red cap star, would it not be quicker to land quickly then do a jump flip towards the star?

I said UP TO 4x longer. Theres room for working on same sections together in that statement.

edit: ok, you didn't watch it. disregarding your precious opinion.
When I see, done in 2 weeks. I doubt it is so good and I am not tempted to even watched it. Also, when the author even confirm it can be improved in the submission text, I feel enough patient to wait until an improved version. If the question would be "Do you think the movie should be publsihed?" I would have voted "No".
So let me get this straight, you're giving a run a straight off No for publishing, just because it was done in 2 weeks? Not even watching it? Thats really amazing how you feel confident enough to judge a movie done by great TASers without even watching it. Take a different angle. 2 weeks. 4 Players. One could argue that if only one player worked on it, it would take up to 4x longer. That would bring it up to 2 months or so. Does that sound enough to you?

I would also support the creation of a "concept demo"/"TAS labs" section of the site for movies like this or the MM3/4/5/6 quad run that is expressly for experimentation and entertainment instead of simply beating a game as fast as possible.
This idea rocks my socks.

Goals aside, this run looks very entertaining. There are some things I'm a little disappointed with. 1. Shortcut to the hot log star isn't taken. 2. BLJ on platforms in Bowser3 road not tried. No improvement? 3. Superficial, but I like dancing to the music. the Koopa the Quick had places where you could have mario noises to the beat. or movement. Who knows. I vote yes as a concept run.

Looks good, despite the fact I am not a fan of this sort of game. I believe that the shorter question manipulation is your best bet if possible.

You would think that if you read the description. However, the wording is actually slightly different. gravite = gravitates, not "orbits". "What is it that gravitates around the Earth?" Slightly harder to answer if your vocabulary is not so good.

Yeah i'm using Vista.
While this may very well be your problem, in order for this to be the case I think you would have had to have the original release to manufacturer Vista (e.g one of the first batch). I was one of those (un)lucky people. :) There are ways around it ranging from copying files from XP x64 to doing odd environment variable things if you're desperate. Edit: my post on a similar problem if you're interested: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5437

i did select it when i chose to record avi and it still didnt work. Even if i put full frames uncompressed it still doesnt work. It records the sound fine but it's jsut a black screen instead of the video.
1. When recording do you get any video in the emulator? 2. Tried a different video plugin? 3. Tried redownloading mupen? All I can think of.
