There should be an area where you could see informations like: The most voted movie The longest movie The shortest movie The most awarded movie The movie with the highest number of re-records The movie with the highest number categories (Just some examples, there is probably more "record" stuffs that could be interesting) There also could be (maybe in the same area) informations like: The most awarded TASer The TASer with the highest number of accepted movies (even movies that were accepted but obsoleted later would count and this information could be) (Again these are just examples) Or something like a Top 10 of the most voted movies and a Top 10 of the TASers with the highest numbers of accepted movies.

Great Work, Tompa! One question: Can't you use that floating trick to reach the arena faster when you're heading for that centipede type boss (Around Frame 60200)?

I'll watch that later. Regarding the jump and roll trick, maybe it's possible to use it even without the sliding, as long as you manage to set the screen in the right position. It would make it easier for you if you had memory adresses for screen posiyion or the caracters position.

Since i've downloaded bizhawk i only disabled the rewind option, so the emulator core should probably be in the default option. Regarding the segments, as far as i can remember they were in the same sise/resolution and had the same quality. I'll check that out as soon as i get home. Thanks for the help guys!

Sorry, maybe i'm too noob for this. When you say Bizhawk split at 2GB, do you mean when Bizhawk generates a 2GB movie file, it split it and start generating a new one if there's still something to be recorded? If that's the case, my situation is a bit different, cause it splits the file in small parts of few megabytes.

Do you mean, when i joined the videos with Windows Movie Maker it made the quality worse so i have to use another aplication for that, or Bizhawk gave me 15 parts splited because I have Windows Movie Maker installed?

There are a variety of video dumping options in bizhawk, although I don't know what Windows Movie Maker can open...
So Bizhawk will always give me the video splited?

I did a savestated run using Bizhawk and would like an encode of it, but a basic one with good video quality. I went to "File, AVI/WAV, Record AVI/WAV", then i selected "AVI writer" and just clicked "OK" in the next screen. I got a good quality video, but it was splited in 15 parts. I used Windows Movie Maker to join all parts, but the result was a .wmv video with less quality than the splited one was. Anyway, is there a simple way to have an encode that is not splited using just Bizhawk?

I'm not an expert, but for some tests i did, the rolling after jump trick seems to be connected with the screen position. If you continue from the first rolling trick, you can do the trick in the next spot with no problem, as long as you don't turn back. You can stop, run or whatever you want, and as long as you don't turn back you can do the trick even in realtime. Just hold down after the boy start spinning. As far as i could notice, turning back only makes the screen to change it's position a bit.

Congrats, Dooty! Yes vote. It's a shame that the new trick only saved one second, but it's cool you redid the run to include it. What will be next? Congo capers?

I use a ps2 controller with an adapter, didnt test with other controllers. I'll see if i have any other controllers that i can use for a test. Edit: Tested it with other controller, one for PC, and have the same problem. If i disconect it while playing, the emulator says it has to be closed. If that makes any difference, i'm using Windows Seven.

Don't know if it's a bug or not, but here it goes: When i'm playing with my joystick connected to my notebook, if for some reason i touch the joystick cable and it disconect, the emulator says it encountered an error and has to be closed. The problem is i was doing a savestated run and everything i do is lost if i don't keep playing the movie after each savestate. With Snes9x, the emulator keeps playing normally, it just doesn't accept inputs.

The first one was JXQ's SNES Super Metroid "all items" in 1:10:45.02. I found the first 10min of it on youtube and thought it was beeing played on console. I couldn't believe how perfect were the executions and it seemed to me like someone found a way to make the game play itself or something like that. Super Metroid was always my favorite game and i used to think the genuine way to play it was collecting all itens. Didn't even know there was other categories. My mind was blown by Red Scarlet's 55min run and i thought it was the limit before finding the 10min video on youtube. I found that there are still a lot of people around there that looks for proof that the game can be beaten in under 2 hours collecting all itens, most of them probably like the game but as me in the past doesn't know about other categories, so instead of RBO, a 100% run of this game would probably be something that will blow peoples mind, mainly if it's an updated version of the 100% run, including the crazy new tricks.

How can i acess a certain page in a game thread that is inside the "3 dots" area without having to enter the first page after/before the dots? I mean, to go straight to the page i want?

Loved it! Specially the part where you're riding a glitched chuck and the invisible yoshi reminded me oddworld.
