I've noticed another difference between the first movie kriole posted and the other two: the first movie was made in Snes9x 1.43 v15 (or an older version), the same emulator Cpadolf and Hoandjzj are using to TAS (or an older version), and the last two were made in Snes9x 1.43 v17, so you can't play them using the same emulator you're using to TAS. Isn't that the problem?

Amazing work so far, Cpadolf! Big improvement and great style!!! I liked the new route and the way you used the speedball to break some blocks instead of bombing them.

So there's no need to avoid the detectors?

Phazon is a good hack (not as good as Super Zeromission in my opinion) and your TAS was very entertaining. If you find time to remake your run with the new trick/route, it will be great! I'd like to watch that and other people who enjoyed the first TAS will too! But i think if you submit it, the site will not accept. Though i think you should remake the run and submit it, so the tasvideos.org users will know about your run and can enjoy it, so you can keep it in your youtube channel and whennever people want to watch it, they'll know where to find.

it will be certainly more entertaining to see a quick boss fight indeed. How are you going to enter gray doors??? If the strategy to gray doors take time and they are many, maybe it would be better to kill Botwoon if the loss is just few seconds, so you can call it a entertainment trade off. ;) Btw, i didn't watch the video due to graphic problems, but there seems to be a NBMN run in nicovideo. I don't know if the TASer fighs Draygon in the end, but it says it is a 100% collection NBMN iirc.

Hoandjzj, is it a NBMB 100% run or you beat all bosses?

I thought it could be used in the "hot water"... i mean, i know the effect the shinespark have in the dark lava, but as you use it in water, i thought it could be used there. Fucking useless shinespark bug!

Great work so far, Cpadolf. One question came in my mind while watching this wip: After collecting the speed booster, when you're going to dive in the lava/hot water (whatever), i noticed that when you're in the lava there's a lot of "small hills" (don't know how it is called in english), i mean, the little elevation on the ground that allows Samus to recharge the shinespark after you release it. This small elevations are all the way to the refill station... isn't it possible to charge the shinespark before entering the lava and keep using it till you get to the refill station?

That's great, Cpadolf! The good thing is most of the time you lost picking up the missile drop from the pirate was covered by the improvements found in the beginning of the game by Kriole. Amazing work, now you're 13sec and 47frames ahead and went barelly over three minutes of the game.

At least it's still in the beginning of the game. Btw, strange that Kriole seems to do a mockball after the ET, but it doesn't seems to be any faster as both Cp and Kriole, from my point of view, seems to take the same time to unmorph after the small passage.

Very nice TAS. It was like Jax and Sub-Zero were playing Capoeira. Good laughs.

Thanks, Hoandjzj! I'm going to check this out. Btw, nice to see you are working in the 100% TAS, it will be awesome i'm sure. And nice of you to help with the any% improvement! The final in-game time will probably go down to 12 min or 11 maybe, with your new route after x-ray. Also, regarding your video on youtube, the strategy for the first missile room is really cool and i noticed you don't use the crouch jump in the next room... how many frames were saved with these new strats?

Try this link: http://www.zshare.net/download/9237949841c9958c/ It's a really nice wip. He is in the elevator after collecting the varia suit and he managed to save already 12sec and 09 frames.

That's fucking awesome, man! Amazing work! That pre-varia suit room chocked me... hahaha... although i didn't play this game yet, by watching Hoandjzj's tas i thought the only alternative would be going up. Congratulations! Regarding the route question, i think because the game is new it's hard to say what could be better to do in this game. Does anybody know if there is any Map with the itens positions and showing the areas, what kind of blocks (breakable or not) there is in each room, and what kind of doors, and stuffs like that? That could be useful to plan a route.

Great run again, Hoandjzj! Congratulations! Well, it seems you want to go for another one... I think this game is too new, and maybe there's somethings to be found. Did Kriole give you any other ideas or is it just the higher speed stuff? If you see the run can be improved even more, maybe it would be better to wait for a couple of weeks and see if anybody else have some ideas. It could help if you post some wips and wait for some response while going through the run, so if any idea happens while you are speedrunning, you don't need to redo the entire run. While you wait, you could give another game a shot, maybe one that it's already known... anyway, that's up to you to choose. Btw, it's amazing how you can speedrun a game that fast. I wish i had this talent to speedrun, but i'm too lazy to even try.

Kriole is working on RBO 100% and Cpadolf's improving his 100% run :D (CAN'T WAIT to see these XD)
I think i heard something about Kriole beeing interested in joining to Hero to work in the RBO run, hope the project is already going on, i really liked the wip Hero released some time ago, it made me salivate for the final result. But i didn't know Cpadolf was working on an improvement of his 100% run, that would be great!

Maybe I'll do 100% of this hack :P
That would be great too. It seems there's a 100% no boss mini boss run on Nico Video, though i couldn't watch and don't know if it uses major glitches.

Can we have the Phazon run obsolete mockingbird, then MSZM obsolete Phazon or something?)
This will be a pretty short life to Phazon. Btw, forgot to say that i voted yes. Just in case i wasn't clear in my post. Also, the 100% idea for this hack is nice too.

I think the highlight here is seeing the later-generation Shinespark in action - it allows for some new tricks that aren't capable with stock Super Metroid. I think this is of sufficient quality to take the place of the current MockingBird run (this is clearly a much better hack).
Agree. The tricks seems well executed and optimized (from a non TASer view) and the hack seems better than Phazon or MockingBird, though i didn't play any of these hacks. Congratulations for this run! Btw, do you think you can improve the 100% or Any% run of the original Super Metroid? Or you're more into hacks? I'd like to see an improvement over the !00% run at least, but it would be nice to see an any% new record or a low% (Ice Beam) run better optimized than Saturn's last submission. It would be great to see that RBO run that Hero of the day and NameSpoofer were working, but i think Hero is still working in that run. The any% is still quite fresh considering the 100% and Low% run, so maybe these are the runs to be optimized if you're not only into Hacks. Great Job and keep entertaining us (Please) with your amazing runs!
