To me this run is more entertaining than the glitched any% and it beats all bosses instead of skipping them with X-Ray and go through all areas of the game (Crateria, Brinstar, Norfair, Lower Norfair, Torian, Wrecked Ship). Also, the different tricks and strategies are cool. Congrats Saturn! Voted Yes.

Keep it the way it is now and just use the new trick from now on. Also, after the run is submited, you guys can point the improvements with some smvs showing the places where and how the run can be optimized.

Yes Vote. And i'd be nice to see this run in a different category or something like that, and the same for Super Metroid (E). Although the Super Metroid (E) run is slower, it shows new tricks and routes and as most of people is voting yes to this movie but not to obsolet the published run, maybe they can be published in a different category and won't obsolet each other. Sorry if there's any mistake in my post.

This is "MY" opinion, but thanks for your sarcasm. Btw, english is not my first language, i edited the post and put a "re", so maybe now the post won't hurt your eyes. But if the problem is the phrase itself, there's nothing i can do about that.

Real time goal is stupid in my opinion, but it's all it is, my opinion. Most of the games doesn't have an in-game time counter, so we have to go for real time. If the game offers in-game time to go for, why keep going for the same thing in all games? Let's make it a little bit different. Also, i think this run is a great contribution for the site and there are people interested in PAL version of this game. The run is well optimized and i think it deserves a place in this site, no matter where.

Wow, man!!! This is a very cool run! I still have a lot to watch and i'm loving it! It was very entertaining what you did in that level after you completed the star world. You duplicated the Coin Blocks and kept running away from the mushrooms on the ground and jumping with the key, i laughed so hard! XD... And when you had to do that level again it was still entertaining, i loved when you slided below the Shell. Thanks por posting it. Edit: Finished watching the run and it's really awesome! Btw, why you stopped in the last level you did to make lives? Is 99 lives a goal in this run? I'd like to see this run finished, but unfortunatelly i don't have any TAS skills. ='(

Isn't it possible to cross the Finish line in 1st and 2nd at the same time? just for fun, like in Top Gear 1. Also, is there any Top Gear 1 TAS? Where can i find it?

The link doesn't start the download of the .fm2 file, it just shows a page with a lot of info. Is it supposed to be this way?

Didn't know that. I'd like to see an In-Game time route.

Something i've noticed is you guys are always changing the routes for 100% and any% run. I think that, with Saturn's method to cross WS Lake, the Low% (no X-Ray ) run reached a perfect route, but it seems that the other categories haven't. So, Cpadolf, do you think that your last route for 100% is the fastest one, or you realized that something could've been changed? Maybe a new trick or something makes worth to go for another route... IIRC your old movie is just 4 seconds away from 35 min, so of course a 35 min run is possible, but do you know how much your 100% can be improved with and without the X-Ray glitch? I think it will be hard to see an optimized 14% ice run since there's no place for this categorie in tasvideos.org (at least that's what i understood, forgive me if i'm wrong), but do you know what time could be reached using the known tricks? Also, i know you TASers usually don't like to pause the game unless it's extremely necessary, but do you think any in-game time could be saved in any categorie if you pause the game more for unequip/equip itens and if you guys were not worried about real-time? Thanks.

Unfortunately this concept can't be aplied in Super Metroid, at least not in an entire run.

Hi, Dooty! Nice work you're doing here. I was thinking about SLIME CLIMB, isn't there a way to use the float trick to reach the first Bonus faster? Can you use the float trick twice in the same stage?

Something it would be nice to see is Kraid been killed with a Single PBW combo, but don't know if it's even possible, but if it is, i think it would be a very quick kill. Though i don't know if it would be worth in a TAS.

Just a curiosity about the arm pumpping technique: How much time does it save in a run? Any% for example.

Thanks for sharing your finds. I liked the gravity statue room and specially the x-ray shinespark. The Wrecked ship trick seemed slower to me but i'm using just my eyes to mesure... if it's faster too... Wow! The X-ray Shinespark seems to require a specific route to execute, is that right? Seems you have to be going to the bottom.

There's an ultimate route that's just been recently created. The tests show it has beaten my run to Ridley by over minutes. Holy crap right?
Incredible! Did you find it, or some of your comrades? by the way, are you going to work on this or there is already somebody trying this new route?

Currently, there is no faster route for the 14% speed/realtime any% than the one used in my run. There are most definitely improvements regarding some 1-framers and luck manipulation, I believe that was it though.
Sorry man, i was talking about you RBO run. IIRC you said it coud be faster if you avoid to get the Energy Tank in the Crateria Gauntlet and get a Reserve tank on the bubbles room in Norfair.

Is there any work in progress for Super Metroid? Any%, RBO, 100% or low% run? I know Saturn made a low% run some time ago, but seeing it wasn't optimized with the newest tricks, it would be nice to see a Low% (ice) run. It would be great to see a 100% and a RBO too.
