Just wanted to point out that, to my knowledge, this is not true. There was unassisted speedrun competition on the stars in this game and the KTQ stars were obtained faster by people who got to the pole faster. Koopa speeds up to get there once you're there. Of course, there may be some upperbound to this speed... Still, I hope it was tested.
I dont know about this, but Iam faster at this star. Wip Tall Tall Mountain 7zip http://drcolt.superprovider.de/mario64.7z winrar http://drcolt.superprovider.de/mario64.rar about 177,8 secs. ahead

.... you seemed to go around the entire island, was this faster?
Like kirbymuncher said. You must wait for Koopa. In the moment where you talk to koopa until the goal, this time where koopa run cant avoid (or give a way to avoid this ???).

I think you forgot to choose not to save when you got the star from toad outside the entrance to Hazy Maze Cave.
It sounds stupid but the text box closed one frame sooner.

yes but to activate this star I must do the Board Bowser's Sub star and then I must twice long jump every other star after this, because the blue water wall or what this is move behind. That is my opinion.

...but wouldn't it have been faster to do the Manta Ray's Reward before Board Bowser's Sub, and hence before BitFS? That way you wouldn't have had to long jump as far a distance to get back to DDD.
Yes but I think this star must be select in the menu to activate the manta or Iam blind and cant see him. After I have done Board Bowser's Sub the star is select and the manta appears.

I also have a quesiton. I noticed that you didn't jump over Bowser, like you did in your 16 Star Run. Did it turn out that the older way was faster? >_>
