One thing, how that A+Z invicibility trick works on a long falls? I tried that in CCW and I died instatly :E and I done it last possible frame but still the fall is too big. If i can't do it, I have other trick which I might to use in long falls.
I get trought the second fan without taking a damage! but not the first...that is because in second fan, i get there in a different angle than the first one and blades positions is different. I tried to do that in first one too but its too hard and i cant do it. Banjo takes a hit when he is even hit the blade :s
So new timesaver...sadly i cant do it in both fans :(
A possibility is the beak buster (or for the n00bs here: "the switch pressing move") invincibility glitch; which seems to make you invincible from anything. (this, I think, is a well known glitch, where you beak bust, and while you're flipping up, you can fall from an infinite height and not get hurt, you are invincible from enemy attacks, and the "magnetised" grunty attack in the final battle. I don't think I've seen this glitch abused at all this run.
One improvement I saw was maybe only 10 frames, but you broke a door, started a talon trot, and went inside. then took about three steps before free falling. It would be a lot faster, I think to just traverse the short distance with a forward roll or something.
But on the plus side, I think your planning is excellent. I have not seen any better planning in any other TAS.

um. I haven't watched it yet but if you are talking about what i think you are talking about with the falling thing... isn't there a ladder you can touch near the last possible frame to cancel the fall damage?
It seems like aiming for the ladder would be quicker than doing a "rat-a-tat rap" (lol window breaking move) mid-fall.

when dropping from the ship's chimney you need to break your fall to avoid falling damage, is it possible to combine the window-breaking move with that action? or is banjo already in an unstoppable fall at that point? (or does he simply not reach it :P)

One possible improvement, however: it is possible to do a beak buster through the grating above the fifth Jinjo, similar to the trick used to get up to the crane with the Shock Spring Pad. This may be faster as it allows instant access to the notes above without swimming out and using the crate.

When I collect yellow jinjo, I fly close to the wall to get shark stuck into the wall. Because of that I can dive to honeycomb room without taking a damage.
Fastest way to skip those fans in engine room is jumping trought using talontrot and taking damage.
After orange jinjo, the slippery slope is longer than other places where I go so I need use different style in there and some reason (I think its the camera angle) i cant make a full jump and then jump again in that last slippery slope. I slide in that slope and then jump.
Evidently the deathstate doesn't care whether it sent you to a respawn or if you go into a new room. (He does lose a life, if you pay attention. 'course, if he had more lives, then you wouldn't be able to know- it says "9" but keeps track much higher.
Wow! So, what's up with that beak-bomb that fully revives? Could that have been used when entering mumbo's hut (without getting the honeycomb piece)? I mean, it probably wouldn't save any time since you had to get the mumbo token anyway but I'm still curious. In any case, great job!

Few things...
- At the start of the WIP when you beak bust the coffin, I was once able to fluke a beak bust which went through the lid and hit the switch all in one go. Although I don't think this is something to go back for, it's only minor. Maybe something for future runs.

- you swam through the water to the RBB picture. So I'm just asking; Marsh seemed fairly confident back when he did his run that feathery flapping over water was faster than regular swimming. Have you falsified this claim now? How many frames faster does swimming get you?

I found couple new timesavers. Like Comicalflop said, entering the chirstamastree using jump+z is couple of frames faster than normally climbing. And i take that mumbotoken differently, same time as I give the present to the bear.
And the route to the RBB
I found a cool bug. When you have only a one healt left and you do peak bomb to the wall in right frame you loose that heat and you dont die :o and when you enter next room (with black screen) banjo's healt is full and you missing i life in your life counter :D You can see this trick after I taking the GL Jiggy 8.
Sami, I am actually having a little trouble replicating the Freezeezy Peak Witch Switch glitch on the emulator; So you may have to stick with the old WIP file if you cannot make it work. I say it work because the other day I did it on the console and saw it listed on various websites. I just assumed it worked on the emulators.
Wasn't the walrus skippable? Or was that some other mumbo transformation I'm confusing it with?
Sami, both the jump+Z+zip, or the jump+Z+grab+jump again techniques should be faster than normal climbing. I have tested this on many different occasions; even if you can't get that zippy effect, climbing is slower than both zipping or jumping. Also, you could use jump+Z to extend your hitbox and hit the ceiling loading zone faster, like you did way back in Treasure Cove.
I was a little disappointed with the christmas bulbs that you didn't play around more during the wait period, you just did the same slow actions repeated. That part was a little boring.
But the rest was good, and did show good route planning.
Of course, I came to the somber realization that if it took that long for this stage, there's still a looooooong way to go before this is submitted. :-(
Hmm I do that jump+z thing best possible frame ( banjo gets higher as possible) and still its slower... and that thing what I done in TTC, its good in there because other way to exit the hatch is z+A and its slow. Yeah maybe i would do some "ticks" waiting christmas bulbs going in tree but naah, I like it this way :p AND there is not much free time between killing green things...maybe when I waiting that first one come up but naah :D
