I'm afraid I'm going to have to abstain on this vote, since I can't really decide which of these deserves the award over the others. They've all made great TASs and have all proved their ability over and over. Just consider this a vote for all of them. :)

Voted for adelikat, as personally I feel he has made an incredible contribution as far as NES TASing goes, and while the others have made no less of a contribution than he has (especially Randil), I very much enjoyed all of his NES runs more than I did the others.

I had to vote for JXQ, while Fractal and hero of the day both created incredibly entertaining TASs to watch, I feel JXQs SDW and SM contributions barely edged them out. Barely.

Choosing between Cardboard, zggzdydp and Dragonfangs was a really tough decision, but I had to go with zggzdydp for his Aria of Sorrow run. In my opinion though, they all deserve the award, but it can only go to one person.

Voted for JXQs Super Metroid run, for the same reason moozooh stated.

I voted for the any% of Super Metroid, because upon watching that run I immediately: - 1.) Came in my pants. 2.) Wondered "what the hell". 3.) Watched it again.

My vote goes to Aria of Sorrow, but only because that game makes me wet in inappropriate places, and watching it get demolished so quickly only added to that effect. The others just gave me a mild sense of "cool."

I voted for Wetrix, because it's the only one I had to watch repeatedly just so I could see exactly what was going on.

For Unreal you can pull them straight out of the game files. I'm not sure if ucc.exe is packaged with the original unreal, but it's packaged with Unreal Tournament at least. All you need to do is go to the commandline and use this command. (Windows only, no idea how to do this in Linux)
C:\PathToUnreal\System\ucc.exe batchexport announcer.uax SOUND WAV C:\PathToUnreal\ExportedSounds
If you don't have the game files... I can't help you. Sorry.

Opposite as in most people judge redesign to be better than impossible.

You realise the entire point of a TAS is to entertain, right? Just because this video doesn't show off as much superhuman things as others does not make it any less worthy of being on this site than those.

In fact, people have cast them only to make the authors more proud and feed their ego, no-one actualy cared about the movie. It was a secret I probably shouldn't have disclosed, but these harsh times demand harsh measures. :\

A pride movie is a tool-assisted speedrun created for ego or for "showing off" It inexcusably lacks fundamental qualities of a publication-worthy production. The site is about showing tool-assistance and anyone playing in real time could do that. Its what there most likely to do on a first time playthrough, and its not exactly fun to watch someone playing a game on there first play through.
You DO know what a TAS is, right? It's all about showing off. It shows what is possible when human error/reflex is removed from the equation. How someone chooses to show that off is their business. And if it wasn't fun to watch the messing around, what's with all the yes votes? The fact that the type of run they created is difficult to obsolete does not mean they created that run purely because of it. It's enjoyable to watch (in my opinion), and that's what TASs should be. Who cares if it's difficult to obsolete?

... after reading that 3 times, I still have no idea what AKAs reason for calling this a pride movie is. He'd make a good Microsoft PR. So AKA, in one line, in what way was this TAS made for personal recognition? You know, a pride movie?

Personally I feel Saturn is throwing around superlatives like perfect and impossible without any feeling for how strong the words are. I'm sure he personally believes that when he's using the words that they're applicable, but it's pretty short-sighted of him to do so. Things like the Maridia gate opening from the wrong side should be labelled as "very unlikely" rather than impossible until it's been confirmed that there is zero chance of doing it, likewise nobody should call their runs perfect until it's been proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no way to improve it. (it's even less appropriate when the run in question isn't even finished.)

I refer you to NeoGAF for evidence that yes, integrity can go below zero.

Is there an AVI available of this anywhere? I don't have Commander Keen 6 so I can't watch the movie file. :(

The WA AI will always attack other AI teams if it cannot get a clear shot at the Player. (It won't attack it's own team, only others.)

The basic definition of the word TAS implies that an emulator is not required. Look at the Doom/Doom II TASs for proof of that. They're not 'emulated', rather played in an environment where slowdown/savestates are enabled. To answer the question: Yes, TASs can be non-emulated, but since this site is an emulated TAS repository, I would say no, non-emulated TASs are not eligible. (This is my opinion)

Someone comes and compliments the site and forums and you come in and take a massive dump in the thread. You, sir, are the troll here. (Yes, I can see it's sarcasm. It's still trolling.)

Yes, I'm quite aware that it makes it a few frames suboptimal. I don't particularly care. <_<
I care. In fact, it might even be significant enough to affect my vote when this movie ends up on the Workbench. <_<
Why don't you make the run then, and spare yourself from the horror of having to watch through an extra 50? frames of gameplay. <_<
