Ok, then I have no qualms on it then. You on longer need my help. Submit the work that you two helped developed. YOU ARE THE BEST PLAYER! Edit: I'll work on an audio commentary ASAP, since it should help alleviate the slow simulation sections for people.

Merman Fly battle looked MUCH better. Good work there. Question about the new Tanzra battle. For the first form, it looks like given where it spawned, it might have been better to be on the left for the 1st spawn and right for where the 2nd spawn was, which would get the air slash off screen faster. Or wouldn't it have made a difference?

You can't run an HDMI cable and the larger video cables (I've done composite, but I'm sure component is the same way) at the same time. If you want to record Xbox 360, you can do one of two setups: 1. Output using the composite cables and run that though a splitter. Not a good solution for some games, as they look like crap in SD. 2. Output though a HDMI splitter and get yourself a capture card that has HDMI. I got a capture card on Amazon for $100 (plus probably another $25 or so for the splitter and 3 HDMI cables).

http://draculaojisan.blog8.fc2.com/blog-entry-440.html This is a documented version of pinouts and uses a Chameleon USB FX2 board to output video to a computer. I'm waiting and trying to figure out how to do it on a DS Lite, but so far no dice. If you can't read Japanese, I have the document translated to English.

How about in-game tutorials? You know, tutorials that teach you the basics of the gameplay, but rather than them being just boring textual tutorials or completely separate tutorials (such as a "training course"), they are actually embedded into the main storyline. When sufficiently well done, it can actually add to the depth of the game. For example, the famous "pick up that can" minitutorial in Half-Life 2 is so memorable that it became an internet meme.
What, you don't think Mega Man X5 wasn't the best tutorial usage ever? For shame!

Wait wait, that one is in the game? How could I notice the on/no error and not notice that one?

Bloodpool Act II you stay on ground level instead of either getting on a high platform or glitch-jumping the wall. Did it not save you frames, or did it cause an issue with luck on Kasandora Act I? Also, I wonder if it's faster to jump slash the boss in Northwall Act I instead of using that 3rd magic during the time you're waiting between the 1st and 2nd magic usages? That's all I have to ask about. Otherwise, the run is fantastic. I think I'll do an audio commentary when you guys submit the run.

You glitched out of the battle with the coolest music in the game, "This is the Last Battle." You make me cry. :(

Awesome! I know there's a generally agreement not to do all the endings on the site (since you're suppose to limit the branches, according to the rules), but I think 3 (Chase/Surrender, Lab/Fight, Secret Ending) gives the most variety while including the best ending.

Yeah, PJ and I had to mention the TAS just because we know you guys are awesome and are working hard on it. It's too bad it didn't show up on the AGDQ video, but I didn't have control over that. ^^;; Can't wait for the finish! You guys are awesome!

I am curious, is this route the fastest? Besides the Secret ending of course. The auto scrolling before the Dr. fight is slow and dull. I will give this a weak yes since it beat the old time.
They're both autoscrollers, whether you choose Lab or Chase. I believe Chase is faster (it's used on the secret ending). The decision of Lab vs Chase and Fight vs Surrender leads to different endings, so for the purpose of being consistent with the published run, the same choices need to be made. I'd still like to see a run w/ the best ending (Lab/Fight, which gives you the GOOD JOB! screen instead of see you next mission).

- LIMBO: Sort of like Braid, but the puzzles are easier and the game is much darker (literally and figuratively).
Seconding the LIMBO suggestion. The game is fun. Also, if you like bullet hell shooters, play Deathsmiles. THE JAPANESE VERSION. The US version unfortunately got stripped of the lag, making it MUCH harder. Thanks Cave. Love you too. And last, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Been liking what I see, but really only play if you can play in HD. The game is a lot harder to play in SD...at least for me.

Interesting how the new run was behind a smidge during 8-2 and still wound up 6 frames ahead in the end.

It's definitely more fun to watch the old TV show then this run. While it's nice to see somebody destroy it, if it wasn't for the fact that the game loops so many times, it might be worthwhile. But because it does, I can only give a MEH vote.

I wonder if a glitchless run would be different enough to warrant being published in a separate category.
However, an unglitched 100 CDs run would be a bad idea, since the game is designed to require you to use both characters to get 100 CDs. Rockman is needed because of the Rush Search ability, and Forte was needed because of his Gospel Flight ability to reach some CDs. The zipping glitches allow the CDs to all be collected by Rockman without having to play the game twice. It is not possible to get all CDs with Forte alone.
Agreed. I don't see the point of a glitchless 100 CD category when it's gonna be twice as long, really. I'm fine with separate any% categories for Rockman and Forte though. Voted YES, BTW, on this awesome movie.
