About 8 mins difference between this and the Canceled one. As Moth pointed out the clear instage differences. Even if the canceled TAS was SNES9x if it was converted to Bizhawk/lsnes (more accurate emu.) It would be more than 6 minutes (Estimate and a half here) ahead of this TAS.

It's easier to explain but harder to do, some games just doesn't get enough attention which is a pain. This makes it harder to route and plan. The minimum can only be given, it's all that can be worked with... and I agree it sucks, so I suggest to keep trying and optimize on yourself.

jlun2 you didn't read my responding point to Patashu which has better explanation. Also this is the reason why feos is judging. Edit: Also I can say this about different branches in other games. This is why I'm bringing up the branch naming of the older one to the plate to this submission.

Pretty much it's like Crash Bandicoot 2 in old TASVideos way atm. When it originally came out we have: any%, glitched and 100% (100% doesn't exist) If this was branched in the ways we have: any% (14 talisman), glitched and 100% Pretty much it's acceptable. Point of reference. The WR is 9 mins 38 seconds. Easy YES. Edit: So branch... I say the branch would stay blank (any%). The other one cannot be obsoleted... it's known to speedrunners as "14 Talisman".

The game creaothceann is showing is F-Zero. It is a game on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. He is just providing an example of what investigating and optimization looks like. Then to show others and give in their input rather then submitting the run. So in other words is to post your progress in the game. Or post what discoveries you have found. Then wait for feedback or to continue what you are doing.

Jump. Jump you little mouse. meows On the terms of "easiest difficulty" this can be accepted and be part of a new branch for this game. I will say it was more entertaining (for me) but still not enough for me to be completely entertained. Considering about 52% of time was taken off from hardest difficulty. Meh Vote. Towards Vault.

Kurabupengin: Basically it's the way you post. Actual and Random (nearly off-topic) ones. As long as you write something random then post it. You were my easiest example of someone who acted like past me. ars: He understood at your first point. Then you continued to talk about lag counts and frame counts. Which I summed (with Ilari's 2 cents too) up in a non-broken record in 2 different posts.

Don't say that. This is my 3rd year I have been on this site. A lot has changed since then. Back when I started TASing I was terrible. You use both. The Lag Counter tells you when you can put input. The Frame Counter reminds you about the Lag Counter to get the optimal input. So you note when Lag finishes on Frame Count and execute that button input.

Even though this has been stroked out I will address this as a normal point. The main discussion on Doom 64 was how unoptimal your movement was. You would still need the Lag Counter to know when to do your input. Reason why I didn't join in on that conversation adding that point is because of the emulator itself. Since you are working on Doom 64 again I have two simple questions. Did you check if your menu navigation was optimal? Did you make sure that the Frame and Lag Counters are Running? If you cannot find the two counters, I suggest switching from Mupen64 to Bizhawk.

That is not a proper reason. Difficulty can do many things. Just saying no on difficulty is a fatal flaw on what you wrote. Easiest difficulty is acceptable. The reason most of us voted NO. Was on how poor the input was done and how much can be improved. And to point out for the third time on this submission. You might want to have a look at this.

Actually. Yes, it does depend on you. Also I never mentioned in my statement in anything that falls (aka depends) on you. But I'm going to say, "You shouldn't blame yourself." I'm going to try not to attack you in the forums. I'll try and keep it simple. We know the issue. Heck, we knew you didn't have a lag counter running when I did this. You need to know what works and what doesn't while TASing. You can have the lag counter going and hold the inputs you want to do. You're input will not go in. Only until the lag counter is white. This is the game itself. It's not your fault. We're trying to carry you through this. Personally I want to actually see a better TAS which would end up in the vault then have a mistake TAS that no-one thought about or actually questioned... even past me. TASing takes time mostly. You cannot just click your fingers and go "Yup I'm done, I've got the time I wanted and it's beautiful." Others will find flaws, pointing them out to others. The others will look into it too and agree with the issues. TASVideos is a bit more strict with the TASes that come in.
