Its this room right? Take of the high jump boots before you try to jump, you don't jump as high there and will there for make the jump. Get some speed and jump at the last possible frame. Or do you mean the room before the wrecked ship?

Your right about that moozooh, but its probably not the way Saturn intended you to get the boots.

You do mean that slightly water filled room right? The way to Maridia that no one usually takes. Take of the high jump boots, and you can't get the space jump boots before beating draygon anyway :).

I refilled in the fire fly room in lower norfair, atleast energy and power bombs (seems thats the only stuff those small buggers will ever drop). I also had enough missiles and stuff to do another crystal flash, then just refilled in the room before ridley on the flying bugs that come out of the lava. Lower norfair is probably one of the hardest points in the game, so refilling your items are going to be hard there.

Where does it desync, haven't been bothered to actually watch the whole thing yet to check for desyncs. Using the 1.2 version of the hack on the Super Metroid (JU) [!] rom with header added by using the Nsrt tool. As for the emulator its Snes9x 1.43 v10 with reset recording. As for refreshing your super missiles, just find some "easy" spot where you dont take much damage and can kill enemies semi fast. Not much of a tip buts its probably the best i can give you. But you say you cheated your way into lower norfair, I assume you have still beaten Draygon and gotten enough energy tanks and missiles. This is what I had when I first entered lower norfair - 7 Energy tanks - All 4 reserve tanks - 150 missiles - 25 super missiles - 35 power bombs - Charge, spazer and plasma beam - Morph ball, bomb and spring ball - High jump boots, space jump and speed booster

What items do you currently have? If you just got out from green brinstar you are gonna go and kill kraid, the way is there but its just hidden. And about the smv, I didn't think of recording it until I got to that part where it starts.

The operation was completed succesfully Clear Time 05:56 Your rate for collecting items is 83% See you next mission. I must say that this was one of the hardest metroid games I've completed, Redesign was hard but the difficulty in that game was the changed map mostly. This was actually really hard. Started to record my playthrough from after grabbing the missile at the lake thingie before the wrecked ship. Clicky Its quite long thought, 5 hours and 48 min or so. But if you are stuck it might help :). Now its time to try and find the rest of the items.

Ridley wasnt much fun... think I used almost 3 hours (real time) to beat him (including many restarts), but the reward for beating him so freaking sweet!

Hope you dont mean that I have to go through lower norfair to get the speed booster? Because that is about the only way I can think of that will get me past the wall or what ever that blocks the access to where the speed booster is.

Got past that maze now (thx P.JBoy) and got into maridia. That way was well hidden I would say. On a side note, I started recording me playing trough this hack from the lake thingie before the wrecked ship, can post the smv if anyone is interrested. Not aiming for speed or anything, just me playing through the game (with the tools the emulator has to offer).

Have you tried running muppen with the lowest possible settings (mainly video settings), try downloading different plugins to see if that might have an effect. Dunno what things the video plugin requires of the graphic card, but it should run non the less. Clicky

What kind of system are you playing on? Cpu, ram, graphic card etc and possibly your operating system. Shouldn't have so much to say, but you never know.

Damn Saturn, this hack lives up to its name. I have only gotten to he brinstar shaft (with the door that leads to x-ray on normal super metroid). Spore spawner (or what ever he is called) got harder and faster!

Didn't know where to excactly post this but I figured that the general forum would be ok. It's sort of a documentary of all the zelda games that has been released and the connection between them. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 / time line theory

Redid the wip, saved a total of 76 frames. Clicky Stuff to mention: It's sometimes faster when you jump and land on an enemy just before the landing, the animation that comes is faster in some cases compared to "normal" landing animation. The menu at the start could also be improved by a few additional frames I guess. The rom I used "Donald Duck - Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (U)" is as far as I know the same as just "Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (U)"

Bleh the movie desyncs for me around frame 51700 (it's just after Terra and Locke escapes from Narshe). Tried 3 different roms, 1.1, 1.0 and the Japanese rom. The crc is correct when I use the 1.1 rom, but I get the excact same results when I use the 1.0 rom. Could anyone maybe supply me with a save state after Terra and Locked entered Figaro castle?
