Yes, it's supposed to work like that, because you can include reset(s) in a movie. This is used in a few of the Nesvideos movies already.
but if he's watching the movie, then this reset should work as a different command that resets the movie as well
Exactly.

Can someone release a Bisqwit-and-Luke version of FCEU? I don't know how to apply patches.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi Now talk about the game instead of pi. X to the power of 1/N gives you the N-root of X

There was a glitch TAS someday at this site
Yeah, when it was called "Arc's Superplay Page"! I think it was called "Super God Mode". It was what got me into game glitching.

Won't that be boring?

I'd rather have a NES emulator that automatically spawns another window (instead of the lost focus one), like iDeaS.

And you didn't record a movie of this beauty? :( Penelope doesn't at att look like I expected her to.
At att? I won't record a movie, you can do it yourself. Just choose all 8 players and end the input. Easy as that.

Interesting. Could be problematic, though. It's 2 seconds less input, but clearly the end of the game comes later than in the current workbench movie. Does that really mean this should be considered faster? Hmmm...
Yeah, I'd rather see someone luck manipulate to skip input. Sort of an autopilot. In fact, I'd like to see someone complete a game with as little input as possible, without any speedrunning. Just minimizing the input needed to win.

If you didn't get the title, what I did was that I let all the 8 CPU players play against each other. I was the audience. It was very boring. I was wrong by the end. I played it on 16x speed. I allowed the CPUs to play to the finish, to show everyone who the best AI was. As I said earlier, I played it on 16x speed. It still took 5 hours. I got bored, saved, and went to bed. The next day I loaded it and they played for 5 more hours. I got bored and played some Xbox 360. They continued for 3 hours, I saved it, and I didn't use it for the rest of the day. The following day they played for an hour. And then, only three were left: Maude, Arthur, and Penelope. Maude lost quickly. Penelope couldn't pay her bill. She had to sell almost all of her belongings. Arthur was the owner of approximately $2600 and half of the board while Penelope only owned approx $100 and one or two streets and a power plant. Then something happened after an hour. (They had now played for roughly 15 hours * 16x speed = 240 game hours = 10 days of game time!) Arthur had to pay Penelope $1000. And more. She had an extreme case of luck. She got money by passing Go and stepping on Chance spaces. Arthur still had to pay her for stepping on her streets. She dodged his streets with ease. Arthur got poor quickly. He asked for a deal, but Penelope refused. His money flew away, and her money got doubled many times. She won. You rock, Penelope! Woo!

Oh, okay. :) I didn't realize that the movie wasn't utilizing those tactics.

We discussed another strategy a couple weeks ago: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3500&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=32 Rather than trying to manipulate the CPU to accept an unreasonable deal, this strategy offers an unreasonable deal. Once the CPU has its hands on the monopoly, it can be manipulated to self-destruct.

This was the only NES Monopoly topic I could find. Anyway, could someone make a run where you luck manipulate the opponent to accept unreasonable deals? I'd like to see a movie where AI is luck manipulated to get a fortune while P1 is near bankruptcy all the time. Then when the AI player gets almost all spaces on the board, it accepts an all belongings -- P1's belongings (or less!) trade.

Some sort of window for game-specific extensions with a short description of them. And these tick boxes so you could turn them on and off separately.

Hey guys, it's me, with another error I can't fix! Whoo! I want my saves, movies etcetera on my desk (in their standard "sav", "snaps", "movies" and "cheats" folders), but the "Base Directory Override" setting changes to another folder, (where I have no emulator stuff, so I get an error when I try to load a save) so EVERY TIME I start the emulator up I have to edit this. Edit: ANSWER DAMMIT! Edit: I need help :(

Micro Machines is a top down-wiew racing game in which you race with different types of vehicles (Toys) in miniature racing courses (breakfast table, back yard). If I made a movie with maximum speed as much as possible, would you watch it then? Or should I TAS Star Wars instead? Or Super Contra? [Edit #1 by Bisqwit: Merged into existing thread #967]

When I wanna play, I get a message saying that I need to choose a graphics plugin at the yada-yada menu, but I can't choose any plugins! Niether sound, input or RSP. Where are you supposed to get them?

I used the A turbo button both times. If you watch the second GIF you can clearly see that I hit some sort of invisible roof on the second jump. It might be useful for an "Air"-type hack...
