Addition: Not all movies aim for speed, but most do. And as I said earlier: boring speedy movies will not be accepted, but interesting slower (And with that I don't mean like a minute or two but maybe 10 seconds) ones will. Therefore I think we should be calling these runs/playthroughs "superplays". K?
Edit yeah: Gradius, B-less SMB run. They are few, but they exist just as much as that pimple on your nose.
No, I ALREADY TRIED!!!
Are all of you (except Bisqwit and the mods) that lazy? I SEARCHED FOR 4 ****ING HOURS!
WELL THEN, JUST READ AN FAQ OR SOMETHING BECAUSE I'M FED UP OF HELPING YOU I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN YOU THE GOOGLE SEARCH PROMPT OR WHATEVER ITS CALLED AND IF YOU CANT FIND THE CODE THEN IT DOESNT EXIST YOU FEMALE DOG
That's unfortunately backronyming.
Backronyming is not necessary here, because the acronym TAS was formed from the following words: tool-assisted speedrun.
Please don't try to rewrite the history.
I refer to: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=84162#84162
Okay, I didn't mean it like that. I meant "I think that TAS from now on is supposed to mean...", not "I've dicovered that the creator of the term "TAS" did not mean speedrun when "TAS" was created. Later discoveries have shown that he actually meant...".
SXL, are you a professionial troll?
Dont troll my topic please. Either post the code, or the link to the code. or PM me the code.
We aren't trolling, we just want you to google for it. But since you can't:
EDIT: REMOVED
Congratulations, you win Game Genie codes for all four DW games.
Edit: NOT! ^_____________^
Superplay = Entertaining ("godlike") game usage = Not necessarily speedy
Speedrun = Speedy game usage = Not necessarily entertaining
Not all movies here aim for speed, and speedy boring movies will not be accepted.
Therefore:
Entertainment/art: Main goal
Speed: Second goal
TAS should thus mean Tool Assisted SUPERPLAY SUPERPLAY SUPERPLAY
I tried to play all 4 games simultaneously and I think you have to make some sort of no-music patch to the games. The .avi will otherwise be a cacophony.
I'm sure alot of you have some sort of USB controller and would like to use it for the game. There is a program called joy to key that is great for linux, and someone make a windows version that is also great, here is that windows version
Thank you, now I don't have to use my mouse at all. :)
TASes are made by designing a program that accepts microphone input. Then you simply talk the computer into making the run for you.
Typical input:
User: Hey, can you make a movie for me?
Program: What game?
U: Rockman 2. But I think in Japan, it's called Rokkumanarasu Boomshakalaka.
P: Error. No such game.
U: Well, how about Megaman 2?
P: What do I get if I make the movie?
U: A browser cookie... it's only a few bytes though!
P: Lollerskates.
U: Yes, make the movie.
P: Making movie.....
P: Done!
U: Thanks! You're my fav program!
P: You're welcome.
U: Computer, upload Cookie slash four slash six star star star.
P: I love you!
