Oooooh another "TAS I started but never got far enough" bites the dust :p This site needs more SMS love, and I thank you for this one, it looks well executed, even if I would have personally gone with dancing to the music on scrolling parts, but I'm nitpicking. Kudos to you my good sir!

I remember watching Zeupar's WIP aaaaaaages ago, he even tried to convince me to do this game. Good to see some GG love, this site doesn't give enough (same goes for the SMS!). Glad we have BizHawk now though. Thanks Grincevent and Cooljay for this!

And the previous one was also a M64 TAS. Coincidence? I think not!

How hyped were we? PRETTY HYPED! Was the hype worth it? HELL YEAH! Obvious TAS of the year, or the decade even. Too many good moments, Filimonas pointed them all out. This was amazingly mind-blowing. Thanks a lot for this run.

Woaw, I actually looked for it and didn't see it, I'm sorry folks. Going to read it whole... EDIT: Ok I got the good pattern (well, most of it), I wasn't even aware there was something at 600.000 population. So that's what we're aiming at now. I think I'll try to do standard "speedrun", aiming for optimized zones to get the best pattern (or most of it, shenaningans). I'll post WIP for those interested. And I'm looking forward for your run FatRatKnight, looks awesome.

Ok, first of all, yes I know. And yes, really. This is in fact a request I was asked to do, long story short, I pick MisterK pattern and improve it TAS-wise. The goal is to create the most perfect pattern and let the game roll until you get 500.00 population (which is the last stage your city can improve to, Megalopolis). I suggest you watch SDA run, or MisterK speedrun from SGDQ 2012, to get the idea of what you're supposed to do. My first problem is that you HAVE to wait a whole year for the money glitch, and I get bankrupted within a month (which you have to be in order to get the money glitch). If anyone has any idea of what I could do while waiting for the tax window to pop up, I'll be very interested (and yes I'm considering drawing dicks with the cursor if that doesn't slow down the timer). The whole pattern is the have an outer circle of industrial zones, a middle-circle of commercial and police departments zones, and an inner circle of residential zones. Fill holes with stadium, airport, fire department and nuclear plants. Map# is 61, which gives the least water tiles. My first goal is to at least get something done (not aiming for a whole pattern optimization first, but just shenanigans), even if it's not submittable (because obvious optimizations, etc). I'll post my WIP today if some people are interested.

Short enough to be published. And not to mention the historical "angular stone" (read: very pointy one) this game is. Finish the game three times in a row and find the hidden indiana jones!

This. On a 1st of april, why not, that would have made me smile a bit. A a "serious" (read this while frowning) TAS, well, that's not very interesting nor even funny...

Woah a run from Atomnium. I suppose you're THE Atomnium every french-speaker must be thinking about: someone very good with a diabolo. What? Indie game reviews on a major french website? :p Anyway, finished watching your run, here are my thoughts: It looks really nice, but I see some points where I think you can improve a little: Mantis Ant: you spend around one second doing nothing where you could have attacked it (at 1:17:35) Final Julius: twice you hit him in the hand doing no damage instead of moving towards his face to pummel it (1:31:03 and 1:31:14) During Dime Tower, (at 1:20:28) you gain a level (aka full HP/MP) but don't go through the magic field on the left side of the screen to save time. As you don't get any more damage after this point in the whole run, that could have saved an easy half-second (and made you finish the run with 7~ish HP, which is always badass :p). Anyway, very good run, I always find it hard to tackle long runs as a novice, but you handled it well. Friends from Nesblog say "hi"!

I have to admit... I'm strongly against TASing this kind of hacks/games (aka IWBTG wanabes), as the main purpose of these hacks/games are to be endured through pain and perseverance. Yet... This run is incredibly fun! You did an amazing job at keeping the watcher entertained, and not "just" avoiding hideous traps. Kudos to you, good sir. Yes vote.
