You don't need to bruteforce the whole, you can split it into events, basically every 10 frames or so combined with games logic. Like a human would do, but with more efficiency. Such a bot is of course hard to code and would require indepth analysis of the game first.

MESHUGGAH, where did you get the speed values? I only found pixel speed, but not subpixel speed.

When these guys consider adding TAS tools, I want to see a specialized TAS enviroment for 3D games, not the standard savestate, frame advance and stuff. But TAS Editor at least as good as the FCEUX one; two game screens: one with the actual game as seen normally and one with freely adjustable camera to see the characters from different perspectives; 3D lua gui to draw lines and stuff into the second screen; maybe some auto-adjust controller to camera: when the camera is changed at some frame, this function automatically updates the analog input to go let the character go in the same direction, like auto-adjust input to lag for FCEUX. These are just some thoughts, I don't know if these things will work out. There might be other cool things to add, I can't think of. It's probably needed to "compress" emulation to let the thing run at a reasonable speed, at least 80%.

That's because of keyboard blocking. Your keyboard can't detect the input when there are to much keys pressed. Use auto-hold to avoid that.

Don't know why I can't jump over some enemies. Taking damage is slower in most cases. Maybe position manipulation can help. Haven't put to much effort into this one. Edit: Turning left before getting hit helped: User movie #19708555012355055 Also some other improvements.

You make a TAS up to the point where you get the weapon, to show that it is legit. Then you start your actual TAS from that point on.

Some small improvements which sum up an better position when climbing up, jumping higher after the monkey and the platform with the item box which let's me do 3 boosts. Also I found out that it's possible to carry the odd rule to the next level, I don't lose the 25 speed then.

The 29k rerecords where for the whole up to after first auto-scroller, but I didn't put that into my file, because desyncs at stage 2, due to my fixes in stage 1. For the damage boosts I recommend using auto-restore, since the boost are not constant.

I did some test yesterday, saved 4 subpixels, up to the first rope you need to climb up, over Xipo's run. When I remove the select at the character selection Xipo's movie desynced in the middle of stage 1-1. That should be because of lag.

Here's the file of level 1: User movie #19574908270357543 I can boost 2 more pixels from the guy at frame 1225, but that makes the enemy where you need to climb up to the platform behave badly. The time loss I got in my earlier version was because I did a better boosting at the second last scorpion, at the last scorpion I needed to slow down a bit to get rid of the invulnerability frames. Now with the worse boosting the invulnerability frames end right when I'm at the last scorpion, and finishes the level as fast as your's, being 0.5 pixels ahead. The guy at frame 1225 moves to the right in my version, which means he can't shoot me after I boost off him.

Oh, I worked on this some time ago, but haven't touched it since then. I finished up to first auto-scroller. I did some better damage boosting than you, being 5 pixels ahead, but then lost some frames, due to bad enemy movement. Maybe there's a way to manipulate them. Also Got4n, you should fix your "ugly" input pressing Start on lag for no reason.
