Didn't they calculated the route? Just going for ISS might be to dangerous, since they wouldn't know where they are going.

The Enemy Bait can also theoretically be useful; if memory serves, its official primary use is to distract enemies, so that you can either slip past them without fighting or come up behind and stab them in the back. Admittedly I've never seen it really used that way, or had much success using it that way myself, but the idea is there.
I used the bait once in Level 2 to manipulate some enemies.

You can always lose the shield, as it gets eaten by Like-Likes, a monster which I'm pretty sure shows up in even the last dungeon in the game.
Of course they do. There will always be like-likes in the game, but the moblin which takes away the bait never returns, even with a reset.

one thing that I don't get is why you bought the bait again. It is not a permanent item...
The bait becomes permanent after it's used in dungeon 7. The moblin in this dungeon takes it away. Afterwards the moblin is not in the game anymore so there's nothing where I can use the bait.

Well, you do have a 87% acceptance rate in the poll. Like we said earlier, we do like this run, we just don't think that labeling it "all items" is correct. If it were labeled e.g. "high %" or "playaround" or something similar, there would be no issue.
High% wouldn't be publishable and it wasn't created for a playaround.

It would be a good idea to cancel this submission and start a run which collects the large shield too. So nobody complains about somewhat. But I won't do it after doing this run twice in a row.

Why does it not fit into your definition? Why are you so reluctant to obtain it?
You can lose the shield permanently to a Like-Like, unlike other items he collects.
Except for the letter.
The letter is only not here, if Link carries a potion. Unless the big shield, the letter is still in the inventory.

This TAS could easily be fixed to get large shield since the author stops at a shop before the last dungeon. He could buy the large shield instead of the bait. Personally, that's what I would like to see done. If hex editing can't fix that, only the final dungeon would need to be re-TASed.
This can't be edited and I'm not redo the final level than either, since the bait should part of the 'all item' run. And the large shield don't fit into my definition.

This is why I worked on the run with fceux' taseditor. It makes it a lot easier.

Isn't it quicker to instead have the Dodongo walk into the smoke of one bomb and then slash him with your sword?
I always thought hitting Dodongo with the sword wouldn't cause him any damage, and I also never tried this trick the bombs, cause I didn't recognized it in the publisched runs.

I'll see the movie, but first: isn't that a 100% run?
It's not possible to say if it is beaten 100% or less, cause the game doesn't tell what's 100%.

Could you please explain what's going on around the 9:00 mark? You first walk around behind the status panel, and then you somehow use the stepladder in the middle of the water?
It's the going insde obstacles glitch. It also works for going into the HUD or walking on water abusing the ladder.

I voted yes. This run is short enough not to get boring and in the end there's also more happening, not just a picture.

Post subject: lsnes desync problem

Today my computer decided to shut down out of nowhere while I was TASing. I hadn't saved the movie and it desynced luckily near the end. I tried to fix the desync with savestates and backup savestates, which include the movie-file. Since the savestates include the movie file, the desync shouldn't be a problem anymore, but the desync is still there. Even if I loaded the a three days old backup movie (I hadn't TASed a few days), there's still a desync. Can someone help, for later desyncs? This one isn't a huge problem, I record the part again.
