You are right, I should have specified only wearable or castable effects. Your breakdown is unimpressive. +11 from charms, +1 from BC, and 20 invested skill points are all givens. Obviously the intent of the question was for you to identify the items needed.
+3 fire skills circlet +3 fire skills amu +3 enchant ormus 2x soj or bul kathos arachnid mesh magefist +1 skills shield, like lidless, sigon's guard or visceratuant +3 fire skills, +3 enchant orb (not very easy to find, mine is +3 fire skills, +2 enchant, it's the best I've found) 10 fire skill charms & the annihilius charm

Well, I can't figure out the stone of jordan question, but I think do know the enchant question: 6: 11 (charms) + 20 (items) + 20 (skills) + 1 (battle command from cta or barb) = 52 However you'll get 54 as I suggested if you got skill shrine.

I don't think it's a good idea. We do our videos for fun, not to earn anything (maybe some honor, but not money). And as Deviance said, why pay for something that they can get for free. And of course, no offence, but I don't see why you should make money from our videos. Na, I think this whole concept is a really bad idea.

That's nice to hear. I will be looking forward to it. If you have tried levels 1 and 8, I assume you take the warp in the first level?
Yepp, I guess that's the fastest way so....

Yepp, actually I've looked a bit into this game, and I was thinking about doing a 2 player run. I tried the first level and then a bit on level 8, but I didn't get to do more due to school work. But now when school is done for the summer I should have some time to make this run. We'll see.

The Quake run is 8 frames faster then your. Also, I compared it to your version 3 run, not version 2, sorry, my bad. It's pretty funny that the time is so close, since the Quake run doesn't use the pipe route, and it compensates with some quaded rocket jumps and gets 8 frames difference from your run.

Ok, here we go. Most of you have probably heard of the Speed Demos Archive, which hosts Quake (1) speedruns. They ran, and so still do I think, contests every little now and then, sometimes on maps created for speedrunning. I once made a map for such a contest, I created a map which is a recreation of world 1-1 in Super Mario Bros (1). Anyway, the guy who won the contest filmed his run, and now, like 2 years later, I've turned it into this beautiful movie: The map itself can be downloaded here too. Since it feature long distances it could look buggy, and you'll notice that the map is divided into 2 parts, connected with a teleporter, cause it's so long that it doesn't fit on the map otherwise. Ran and filmed by Jozsef Szalontai Map by me Now the funny part? I made some checks and it seems like the time differs only 8 frames from Michael Fried's run of 1-1 in his version2 run. Also, note that the timer in Quake is a bit screwed up, it "steals" 1.4 seconds from you even before you start. I think this is a forever standing bug in Quake. Enjoy

Doom1 is more maze like, while Doom2 is more strait forward, so Doom2 is more suitable for speedrunning.

Is there any site that describes those Zelda glitches? I once ran into a very strange one myself. I fell down in the hole where you get the (first) sword, but it was later in the game, when it wasn't raining. I landed in a room with lots of rubines, it look very much like one of the roomes in Turtle rock, which is full of rubies and has these evil rolling spiked things. However this room was only full of rubies, and when I exited it, I came out of Link's house. So what can we find next, hidden nuclear bunker under Gannon's pyramid? My favourite glitch has to be this whole new town you can get to in Zelda 2. If you visit this town where you can walk on the roof, and you jump to the top of the screen and become fairy. This usually has strange effects in the dungeons, and the effect here is even more weird.

SMB3 and rockman 2. SMB3 was the first one I saw, and I went crazy when I saw the "gather extra lives on the bomb and cannonball" thing. It's probably the sickest stuff I've seen in a NES game. Rockman 2 is also great. Some other nice ones are Zelda, castlevania, Simon's quest, Chip and dale. The DKC 2 and Metroid speedruns are amazing too, you gotta be a god to beat those games like that. And of course the Quake done Quick runs.

The subtitles are great, it's the perfect way to tell the audiance about a certain trick or shortcut so I know what's going on, even without knowing everything about the game.

Someone once said that time attacks should be entertaining, well, this is one I found to be really entertaining. So nice, especially the final jump, warping from top to bottom. Looking forward to see track 2-5.

Well, I've only played Kid icarus and blaster master of those games, and I think both are beatable. How about Ikari warriors without ABBA (gives you 3 lives again, after you died).

I feel pathetic compared to you. I had like 20-25 games, all legal games, and one console. On the SNES side I had 15 games and one console, all legal.

I was thinking, this time attack could actually feature a death, which may save time. For example, in area 3, where you must get missles to blow away the road blocks. You gotta get those in some house, if you die after picking them up will send you back outside again (I think, I'm not 100% sure, it was like 10 years since I played this game). The swimming level before area 3 is a perfect place to injure (and save time too, if you swim through the electric beams or whatever it is) some useless turtle and then switch to him and die quickly in area 3. It might save time, but if time attacks should feature deaths or not has always been a hot subject.

Very nice, this game is hard, even on easy, so doing it on hard is really impressive. I like the... uh... bomb climbing :D best, really nice idea.

If an umbrella, appears, should I skip it to get a better one later on?
Well, the best umbrella "costs" 3.5 bubbles per level, while the "worse" umbrella costs 5 (and middle 4). So, if possible, it's best to get the best umbrella cause it would cost less bubbles per level. However, do you know if the amount of bubbles are "saved" if you skip and umbrella? Anothing good thing is if you can time the umbrellas so you can use them to skip some of the most time consuming levels. I think this is actually the most effective way. Hard to say what's best, would probably be a nightmare to make the perfect umbrella plan...
