Please change the ROM name in the submission from the ambiguous "Pocket Monsters Aka (Japan).gb" to the GoodGB name "Pocket Monsters - Red Version (J) (V1.1) [S].gb", as the ROM with this filename on the internet is usually "Pocket Monsters - Red Version (J) (V1.0) [S].gb", which does not sync correctly. (It causes a crash in-game) As for the run... wow. I did not think that it would be possible to make this faster, but... you did it. Yes vote!

Good gravy! Impressive improvement, yes vote! Too bad the J version sounds... incomplete. Like, no sound effects at all during the intro. whyyyyyyyyyyy Also, how long until you can get around the door to the upper floors and go straight into Bowser in the Sky? ;D

Nicely done! Maybe a 100% run could happen in the future? I want to see the vanishing block segment in SnakeMan's stage destroyed.

Wow, the bad ending is terrible. Maybe that can be rectified with a 100% TAS? Anyway, I was really entertained by all the glitching and sequence breaking. And clearing VDO in one visit?! Very well done, yes vote!

For a quick placeholder game, eh I'll give it a Meh. I actually own a physical copy of this game :O They can be a little tricky to find, since operators just chucked them into the trash to put in actual JAMMA games in their place. Still good as a test board for JAMMA cabinets, though!

As a sort of addenum, having the XBone controller present also affected DOSBox for me; it would try to load but instead choke and freeze at the splash screen. Again, removing the controller made it work properly.

I can indeed confirm that this is happening. I recently got an XBone pad to use on my PC, and things began going south with BizHawk on Windows 10 Pro x64 when keyboard shortcuts just stopped working... then today, it started just appearing as a process and not an application. I found this thread, unplugged my XBone pad... and BizHawk worked again. Plugged XBone pad back in, went back to non-functionality. Tested with both my existing config, and a fresh instance. I'd be more fussed about this if it weren't for the fact that my DualShock 4 still works fine, and I just got the Pokkén Tournament gamepad today, which works out of the box on the PC, in BizHawk, perfectly.

Just a question: why for the mini-games of Bowser, you do not strike the dice to have one Koopa kids to fight?
From the submission text,

The story versions of these mini-games set the bounds at 30 and 50
So 30 is the lowest possible. As for the TAS itself, well... I would have enjoyed it a lot more if you tried to play as many different mini-games as possible, and actually win them. Voting Meh.

Impressive. IMPRESSIVE! Yes vote! Might be GB TAS of the Year? Also, you never battled the trainers required for the Mew Glitch, so it's still possible to get Mew... but, glitchless run, I know.

Yeah, I wanted to see that bastardized Nintendo DS! (Also, the Brain Age demo was amazing! Can we get some of those pictures as stock avatars for the forums??)

So I wasn't able to get to the TASVideos site in time to even obtain the .zip file (yay real life!), and just as quickly as it went up, the link was wiped from the site. Anyone got a mirror of it?

Also, now I want to see a Pac-Man arcade TAS.
Better idea: Ms. Pac-Man (the Tengen one, on SNES because the Genesis one has input lag issues and the NES one looks fugly), Strange maze set (32 levels, actual game ending, most variety), Crazy difficulty (makes the player and the ghosts go at speeds so fast, it's barely possible for humans to control!), and 2 player co-op gameplay. THAT would be interesting to watch. And not go on for infinity like an arcade Pac-Man run would, since it was recently proven that the kill screen CAN be completed without losing any lives, bringing you back to level 1... Also, nice little TAS. Yes vote!

Protip: You can host binary releases on GitHub. Even gives you a revision snapshot to see the code as it was when it was built. https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/releases

Yeah, "for fun" TASes aren't for submission. User files are for WIPs and "for fun" runs. If you're submitting, you're playing for keeps. In which case, this ancient, obsolete submission beats your run by over 5 seconds. So, voting no.
