Not sure how this game continues to be improved, but I'm glad it is. Bisqwit: did you ever figure out why you see those ghost megamans during the iceman fight? Just wondering. Good work fellas. (voted yes)

voting No on this submission because there are even better hacked ROM's than this.
This isn't a hacked rom. Its the fds version, which is a legit version. Somewhat interesting, well played.[/quote]

I like Keith Olberman too, but, I think his credibility is only slightly higher of his foil Bill O'reilly. I enjoy his show a lot, but I don't trust everything I hear on his show. For real news you can't go wrong with the Daily Show :). On a less happy note: How did this bill get passed? Franklin said it best: "Those who would give up freedom for security deserve neither" or something to that effect. Go Democrats in 8 days !!

that book sounds REALLY old. It's talking about shrinking progams to fit on floppy disks and refers to 32MB as a lot of RAM. I also started looking through the intro, but it seemed to be too outdated to be really worth my time. I agree there are some advantages to assembly, but especially with such well optimized compilers, and high performance computers, I don't think the performance increase for most applications is noticeable. That said, there isn't a C compiler for NES, that I know of, so if you want to write NES games, you'll need to learn assembly.

There are a LOT of different assembly languages. x86, x86_64, MIPS, PARISC, POWER, NES, SNES, TI, etc. . . I'm in a assembly programming class now, and we're learning MIPS, but its not focused too much on the programming itself, and more machine organization, so I don't have too much help. I'd say try to narrow it down to what platform you want to use.

Fractal Fusion, that was awesome. It didn't look useful :(, but it was really cool. Hope you can find some way to make it save time.

I think its possible to get it without any upgrades actually. FractalFusion did a test run, its probably a few pages back and I'm pretty sure he did that. Good luck.

do boomer kuwanger before storm eagle i think so you can use the boomerang to pick stuff up without having to backtack/lose time. Please do it though, I"ve waited for a 100% run of this game for a while!

I had a mismathed rom, but it didn't desynch until after you beat sigma, it didn't trigger the last dialogue. . . bizarre. Anyway, awesome run, definately a yes vote. I only had 1 thought about improvement. In sigma1, on the last of the areas where that one dude closes the walls on you, would it be faster to let him do that so you have less distance to cover to the right? I mean you'd be moving to the right as you were climbing, even a little bit. Other than that, way to go!

AF, you don't make any goddamn sense. If you have the system pause and start button assigned to the same key, and don't know what's wrong. . . God help you. My recomendation: emulator pause->pause/break key start button->enter

Again, check when you load the movie and use the same plugins and rom version as he uses. 1.2 I believe, Jabo's video 8 something or other I think.

I had that same problem, then I upgraded to a newer version of jabo's video plugin and it worked fine. The movie file tells you what plugins were used when you load it. Try to match those, and remember to check raw data, and probably make sure there's no expansion/rumble pack.

I'd encode it, but I don't think avi output works in windows. Its not too much trouble to get mupen and watch the .m64 though. Maybe 10 minutes + some fiddling. Go to #nesvideos on irc.freenode.net if you have trouble.

nospoon's suggestion: Get either an n64 -> usb/serial/parallel/game port converter or get a gamepad with at least one analog stick, but don't get a logitech one, mine totally sucks! I think using an analog stick would be MUCH easier than trying to use a keyboard/mouse. PS. I say don't get a logitech one because the D-pad is worthless and its pretty much impossible to press 1 direction, for example usually when I try to push >, it's actually pushing ^> or v>

Okay, now it works. I added that line you suggested to the makefile and I get a bunch of warnings. It still runs fine, but how do I fix those warnings(or do I)? Files are still here

I've got some problems with a c++ program I'm working on. . .I believe the problem is the copy constructor, which I don't know how to write properly, I guess. Any help is appreciated. Files here

I was mistaken, it does compile in linux. . .You just need to run dos2unix on it first.

Dev-C++'s editor is OK if you turn off smart tabs. Those piss me off like no other, but otherwise I haven't had a problem with it.
