All parts are in the movie description. I could try to explain some stuff at least. But I won't go into details for every level though. If you want me to explain a certain glitch, I could give it a try (Or Comicalflop/Arne will).

It's only possible to enter a level when both characters are standing still on the map screen. So when Diddy/Donkey pause in the corner between the first two levels, the game thinks that you are on a level, as you mentioned. There are four of these warps in this game. All located in the first world. Three of them take you to different places in Orang-utan Gang while the fourth takes you to the end of the second level of the game. None is this warps can be manipulated in any way. Taking the warp isn't neccesary for the warp to MM to work, but it's obviously a lot faster.

The early input end was used in my old run too so. You save about 10 frames on the map screen if you have one Kong instead of two. So that actually saved more than I lost from breaking the barrel. A lot of lag was reduced from only having Diddy on some of the stages, so that's another gain from it. Thanks for the comments guys! I have changed my movie description to actually explain what's going on in the run. So hopefully less confusing parts now!

Pretty nice concept. I have had a similar run in. mind a long time ago, but I couldn't be bothered planning a route for it. One improvement would be to use the dog house glitch as well. Considering you are able to get many items as well as instruments from it. More info on that here: http://artemis251.fobby.net/zelda/index.php And, as you said, the run needs a lot of optimzation. Proper pegasus dashing, corner boosting and a lot more. So when optimizing everything, this could be a nice.

Nice! I started a run of this awhile ago as well, didn't really reach that far. There are some improvements in the first level to be made. You can for example fall down to the secret exit from the top platform, instead of landing on the platform above the exit. The extra health could have been picked up faster as well. It's pretty important to plan a route for the damage throughout the run, as a lot of time can be saved by taking damage. So a testrun should definetely be made to begin with, if you haven't already. Looking forward to this!

For those who don't know: Swodless Link has been working on Oracle of Seasons for awhile now. He's currently on his way to the 4th dungeon. Parts of his run have been put up on his youtube channel found here.

Hi Coldsun, welcome here! Open the page and click the link where it says "Download". Then you need to use the Desmume 0.9.6 (Other versions may work too, I don't know). Open the US 1.0 version of Super Princess Peach and load the movie. That should do the job.

There are several ways to make it faster. One was just mentioned and is a very stupid thing that I overlooked, saved 53 frames. Time to redo half the dungeon :D.

It's actually 52 frames faster, just a note. The improvement came from better manipulation, some optimizations and a better route.

I try to only pick games to TAS that I have played before. And preferly games that I already know several tricks and such in, as it will help the TASing a lot. If I do try to TAS something I haven't played, it has to be something straight forward that doesn't really require any planning. And when I do, I just TAS it through without playing it first.

This time I'm going to test some faster strategies, something that I "forgot" with your last submission. I saved two frames outside the castle before dropping down the hole. Possibly more to come!

I decided to do the first levels 100% as well, being 650 frames slower and looks like this.

Could just as well use this topic I guess... I started TASing DKL again just because The Minish Cap is currently being a pain. Here's a WIP of the first two levels at least: VBM Should I continue with this? Chance and make it 100% instead?

He stopped working on the run awhile back, not sure if he's ever going back to it. I did an attempt awhile ago to improve his 1-1 with corner boosting. I don't remember what I got back then, but I did an attempt now and finished 6 frames faster. I wasted a few x-subpixels to easier get some of the double corner boosts though, so if I changed the Y-subs instead I could probably saver another frame. Beating it 6 frames faster gives bad manipulation, one frame faster fixes this. So that should be possible I believe.

Yeah, I blame myself for this... I even knew this was possible as I had done it several times at the end of 5-Fort2. There are several other improvements as well. For example the improvements Lord Tom and I found in the warped run. Some HB fights are also improveable as well as other minor things. After watching RAT926's glitch videos of SMB3, loads of awesome stuff I hadn't seen before, I'm actually in the mood of start TASing this game again and also experiment with the glitches, as they may lead to something useful. I'm also wondering if any of those are JP-version exclusive?

Ha! I knew you could use the pipeglitch like that in the game. Just never tried to do it on the "walljump pixel". I win, Adelikat!

Yeah, the Color Dungeon will be played through in the 100% run. I have yet not completed my route, which I should be ashamed of. It's just so annoying to plan the seashells, bombs and arrows to fit perfectly. I think it's impossible actually. There will have to be some kind of "unneccesary detour" in the run and I really don't want it like that :(.
