I'd definitely vote no on any speed for entertainment tradeoffs. The entertainment tradeoffs you can do without losing speed (the "floating Raja" at the end of the latest WIP) are good. I did notice that one of the treasure chests you have to open (Alshline?), there's one right next to it with an Escapipe. I think it'd be faster to grab that Escapipe than to buy the ones you do in Tonoe. Also, it seemed like in one of the battles you fight with Rune, you lead with Hewn/Flaeli and then go to Giwat... but Giwat does more damage than the special attacks (if only by 5 or so). The TP certainly isn't relevant, and I don't think the animation makes you lose frames, so I'm not sure why you go with the special attacks instead.

You do technically want to avoid shinies, because it takes 6 frames to display the word "shiny ", right? :)

Awful game, but it's more optimized, so I voted yes.

Personally, I'd love to see La Mulana TASed somehow.

I'd vote (1), but I doubt that is the popular opinion.

I do not suggest adding entertainment, you should try for the lowest time possible since this run is already going to be many hours long.

Flagrant yes. This is the only example I've ever seen of a fighting game movie that deserved to be outside of concept demos. Completely unreal to me that this gets voted down.

This is a MUCH better game to run than the Zero series. I would highly recommend checking out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eB-QC_3hFA for -the- TAS combo tech. You'll want one of these for the WTF factor. After watching the video, only a couple recommendations: 1) You should be able to set Turbo speed in the Configuration, saving a couple seconds in the run so you don't have to select it. 2) The quick 4-hit Cammy combo with double Cannon Drill was great, but I felt like you could've done more with her in a long combo. Probably just personal preference, though. 3) With so many Wolverine throws, it might be cool to spam punch on some of them just to show a difference in the speed of the hits.
thks = ) ..... and about this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eB-QC_3hFA some or majority are with help of the cheat because no is possible combination or super jumper or projetes and especias after of an amount of combos!!!! but this vid me helped much = )
It is possible that the video was made using the Sega Saturn version. I doubt it is the Playstation version since that one tends to have ridiculous lag.

Voted yes, because tons of other games end input early, I enjoyed watching the video, and it looks well optimized.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NES_games I didn't count myself, but I believe it's around 800 total games. You can work from there.

Easy no. Very entertaining movie, no question. But just the same as SDR's SSF2 submissions, this kind of movie shouldn't leave the concept demos area. This is by no means disincentive to stop making these movies, I love watching them! But trading speed for entertainment opens the door for 8 more video submissions showing off different characters, and that's absurd to me.

It seems like the biggest trick would be comparing boss fight times with the respective weaknesses; if you save 5 seconds with Needle Shot vs Snake Man, 7 seconds with Search Snakes on Gemini Man, and 8 seconds with Gemini Laser on Needle Man, then it's likely that you should do Snake Man first, simply because you need to sacrifice one of these gains, so you should sacrifice the worst. Naturally, Rush Jet gains will have to be weighed against these as well.

I enjoyed watching the movie, but things like this are so subjective, I do not think it should be published outside of concept demos. There is nothing objectively perfect about this video. I voted no under the assumption that this would be published similar to Saturn's old videos (which I also think don't deserve publishing outside of concept demos). The only SSF2 video I would want to see published normally does the following: -Beats the game the fastest, whichever character that happens to be, on hardest difficulty with highest speed -Takes speed into account over entertainment

I'd love to test it for you, but I don't have a Double Dribble cart, nor do I believe I have any other Konami carts.

I wish I had a bit more experience with the game to know all the sequence breaking being done, but I was entertained watching it. Yes vote.

I have to wonder if one of the sets of Dynamite Guys on the disappearing bridge on level 7 couldn't be done faster - you flying knee a pair into the left wall, where they bounce off it before hitting the spikes - is it possible to position yourself so they don't bounce? Constructive criticism on a great movie, the subtitles do a lot for me.

I love what I see so far. I think all you guys are crazy. The Jade manipulation was hilarious. Keep it coming, SDR!
