Mike tyson's punch-out is without a doubt my favorite game on the nes, and I've just finished uploading my speed run where every boxer is defeated in the first round and beaten in close to record time. Save states where not used, I could have matched the world records for the boxers if I had used them; instead this is the product of the many years and countless hours I've spent playing this game and my dedication to it. You can see it on my site. Enjoy :)
Awesome stuff, dude! I've never seen Sandman or Macho on a one rounder till now!

Hello. I think I've watched every .fmv on this site and all of the videos on all of the links. Okay I'll be honest, I have watched "parts" of all the videos. Some bored me, some were okay and I made it only halfway through, and some were absolutely fantastic and kept me watching until the end. Inspired, I started making videos of my own. So far I have the following games in VirtuaNES .vmv format: Arkanoid, Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle, Championship Bowling, Final Fantasy (no seriously), Friday the 13th, Hogan's Alley, Hydlide, Karnov, The Legend of Kage, Nes Open, Paperboy2, SmashTV, Three Stooges, Track and Field 2, Wizards and Warriors ... and Videomation stuff. Wizards, Nes Open, and T&F2 are all 0 rerecords (only used slower framerate and/or turbo controller). Arkanoid had the highest rerecord number at 2,000 even. Final Fantasy was finished in 3 hours 50 minutes at level 15 (all characters) with about 1300 rerecords. It's not a "perfect" speed run, but it's entertaining from the 90 minute mark onwards. Hmm, you can find out about this stuff if you visit my site ... here's the relevant link: Snaily's Videos Sorry if I'm not supposed to put up a link in this forum. Some games that I'm working on/thinking about: Blades of Steel (I figure a 160-0 game is possible and am 1/6th of the way there) Pipe Dream (have 5 boards perfected, including a bonus board, no clue how many I intend on doing but it looks so cool I want to do at least a few more levels) R.C. Pro-Am/Super Sprint (these games could be fun) ?!? Casino Kid ?!? (I have this fantasy about getting all royal flushes and blackjacks ... and then I wake up ... maybe all full houses and blackjacks would suffice) Wizards and Warriors 2/3 I'll see what develops. Now that I have done a few movies ^ up there ^, I think the future ones that I do will be much, much better. P.S. If you watch the Wizards and Warriors video (which I hope you do), please oh please close your eyes when I get to boss #3 and pretend that he didn't knock me down. Thanks :)

Yet it is, page 15 of my manual, it's a spanish one though maybe it's different from the ntcs version.

I've recorded myself playing Suikoden, although it was only the text and story bits mostly, with some boss battles. I watch it every so often and it's about 9 hours I think on two video tapes. If it's interesting, I'd watch anything. If it's got annoying bits (Orcarina of Time speed run with constant rolling, thus making Link shout every 1 second), I'll watch in very small bits. But I'll watch it :p
I can admit that i watch the ocarina of time speedrun too, and some other ones that does take awhile... But i gotta see how it works out first, would prob be really great too have the speedrun complete on tape, FF is a very large game doh and even getting it on the comp would take _alot_ of space :)

Lo all After watching a lot of videos about fast ended nes games, I was thinking about making one. But do you think that my choice is good ? I think this game is quite fun but if you have other suggestion there is no problem :D

ye, u can tape it with a VCR... but as u said its prob not possible too do it in less then 15 hours. Thinking out ways of doing it atm, but as u progress trough the game some of the bosses are gonne be extremly hard considering the low level u have too be able too do it :~)

Trying too "speedrun" FF7, without deaths/saves, and at lowest level as possible. Would be cool if someone else would join in on this _crazy_ attempt... Have no idea how too prove that it is legit, cause it will be too long too record or anything. Was thinking of taking a picture every hour from the beginning too the end or something... *shrug* comments about proving that its NOT been cheated will be appritiated... :)

Ok. To clarify certains doubts, the NES verion of PoP is the worst of all. 1) You can't jump over some of the enemies, and they don't fall off from platforms. 2) Enemies can't be pulled off screen. they bounce when they reach the screen border. 3) I haven't found yet a way to change places in a fight. I think it can't be done. 4) In PC version, level one, you can skip looking for the sword and fight by making the enemy go close to you and doing a go around. But because in NES version enemies can't cross screen, this can't be done. 5) The shadow in NES version doesn't fight agaisnt you in Level 12, instead there's a skeleton. 6) In PC version, level 3, you can skip the fight with the skeleton by jumping. 7) Jaffar is 10.000 tougher in PC version. And have a different design, not the generic looking purple guy. Also the first guard in Level 8 is black dressed and thougher. 7.5) In level 6, theres a guard know among my friends as "el gordito", it's a bit tougher than normal guards, and have a different look. Of course, in NES version there's no "gordito". 8) NES version doesn't have any cutscenes between levels. 9) There isn't any cheats codes for NES version. (At least I haven't found yet) 10) Due to dual button control system (PC verion only have 1 action button), you can actually fall in a gap by using b button near an edge. In PC version you make a "lost balance" animation when you try to fall off an edge. In NES, you fall without this warning. 11) PC verion stores record time. 12) NES version, all potion bottles are red, in PC version color differs between bottles according to effect. 13) In PC version, Level 5, you don't have to go back to reopen the door at level start, I don't know why they make you reopen the second floor door in NES version. But everything isn't wrong in NES version: 1) You can do some amazing jumps (Due to errors when you're entering a screen). This made possible jumps like level 3, where I jump a very large gap without clinging on edge. 2) For speedrun sake, is better to have a realy easy Jaffar and Level 8 guy, don't you agree? 3) At least, they keep graphic style similar to PoP on PC, graphic design for PoP 2 really sucks, and was used for PoP version for Genesis and Snes. As final comments, I enjoyed this game a lot when I was a child, I played and passed it 3 or 4 times a day! I was really crazy for it. And Hope you have fun watching the timeattack as much I enjoyed making it.
