Why don't you guys have a race. You hand guys try to get to 500 the hard way, while the other bunch try to code a program to get to 500. Or have they done that already? You ever read that Asimov story where no one can do math anymore because machines do it all? And they find this one janitor somewhere who can multiply in his head and it's like the most stunning thing ever? I think it's relevent here somehow. Even though I am sure it takes an extreme knowledge of math to be able to program these programs.

I don't think it has to be related to speed runs at all. We are a community of retro gamers. All you need to do is put a little link on the bottom of the mug to make it make sense. Here is a cool mug idea. It shower racoon tail mario (mario 3) jumping on a cannon ball, with a one up coming up as he hits it. The rest of the mug is just covered in scattered cannonballs. That would be a great mug, because EVERYONE knows about the Mario 3 speed run with the 99 1ups off cannonballs.

There is this website I have heard about: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/ From what I here, it works like this. They have a bunch of hat, sweater, t-shirt, mugs and stuff like that, all with blank templates. Pictures and text, pretty standard stuff. Then what you do, is you send them what text and pictures you want, and they will create the items and send them to you for a reasonable price. Usually you can't get this kind of stuff done when you are ordering in quantities less than 100, but this site will make these for you by the dozens. Which would be much more efficient for a small site. Of course this is what I have heard, I have not seriously looked at it yet. But I must say a mug with a mega-man helmet would interest me greatly... Or an eggplant wizard on a white mug... Mugs I tell! Thats where it's at. The old fall back: small mario + Mushroom = Large Mario going around a mug would be SOOOOOO retro-shiek.

I am an avid video game music collector, but I am a mac user. The miniUSF files I always find of N64 music I have yet to find a way to open. Does anyone know of a program that can open USF files that runs on OSX? Or does anyone have some N64 music files they could send me in a format I can handle? I would be very happy. Nothing abscure, I just want Mario 64, Mario Kart, and maybe golden eye tracks. Anything anyone has would be great. Anyway i've said enough. Thanks ahead of time for anyone that can help me out.

Fietclub brings up and interesting point... Kid Icarus is a game I played alot of when I was a kid. I remember it coming in the mail, and playing it. I playing it SO much. I never ever beat it I always got stuck on castle three with that goddamn 20 second loop of creepy maze music which has been burned into my mind so badly that it's the only tune I ever hum TO THIS DAY. I would play that game for 8-9 hours, often starting over again and getting to castle 3 again thinking maybe I missed something (you know, it never actually occured to me to map the castle out...) I downloaded the game on an emulator a year or so ago, and beat it in a day. Talk about a let down. I had a great time, and it was fun to see the eggplant wizards again but I was ready to take 3 days out of my life! I had no idea that castle three was almost the end of the game. All you need is a peice of paper to map it out. Anyway this isn't even my point. My point is that now I don't play any game for more than 1-2 hours and rarely even that long. Usually I play a game until I lose, die or whatever and then I go do something else. When I was a kid I would have Nintendo time, I would play one game until I got frustrated and then another. Ninja Gaiden, Halo 1 and Prince of Persia Sand of Time are the only new games I have had the conviction to beat, everything else just kinda... I lose interest in. Maybe I am just getting picky. It seems to take alot more to impress me now.

Haha wow I had no idea people were actually going to do it. Those are awesome. I like the pimp one :D. I am actually looking for something more cartoonish and more computer graphic oriented with thick black outlines. Kinda like what he would look like if he was in a SNES video game instead of an NES game. But please don't stop making stuff, I will keep looking.

I am looking for someone to somehow make me a picture of an eggplant wizard but better than my avatar. I want to make some www.virtualalex.com themed wallpapers, but I have ONLY photoshop skills and no drawing skills at all. Obviously this 8 bit gif isn't very good when made large. Anyone up for it?

This is big news because it's the two biggest graphic design companies becoming one. Now one company controls the .pdf format and flash as well. I for one, use dreamweaver to make my website, and use illustrator and photoshop to make all the graphics. I am super excited for all programs inculding dreamweaver to be the same format.

OMG Clockwerx... I loved that game so much! Also Spin Doctor, a very similar game. Lode Runner II for PC was the funnest two player game I probably have ever played. Pathways into Darkness (PiD) was an early Bungie game that is one of the most interesting first person shooters ever.
