Awesome speedruns! Well, of course they could have been played better but I don't really care. The games are cool anyway! I actually didn't realized just how like Giana Sisters is to Mario ;) And now I know what Rodland is! It's like Bubble Bobble and Wrecking Crew combined. Anyhows, I think Rodland for NES is one of the rarest games to the console. If one wants an original cartridge that is. I sure wants one.

Aha. I've always learned that Doki Doki Panic was the same as the USA SMB2, perhaps with changed characters. I haven't played Doki Doki myself though but I trust your word on that one.

Is there a cartridge with all five games? I got SMAS but it only includes SMB1-3 + Lost Levels. Or + Doki doki panic depending on how you see it. Oh well, those 4 games anyway. Also, nice new avatar there Bisqwit. First thread I see it in.

That could be an idea, but they don't really tear very fast ;) Of course it would save some time. If it works that is. I've never played StarCraft to N64 to be honest. But I've played it for PC for many many hours.

Sounds awesome. This is yet another movie I can't wait for! For real! I don't know if it works in the N64 version of this awesome game, but to make things easier, but mainly funnier there is a trick to abuse. Atleast it works when playing a custom game vs some computers in the PC-version. Anyway, get a worker (scv, drone or probe depending on race) over to the enemy base and start tear down their buildings with the fearsome worker! In the PC-version all computer workers that is out and working, will now chase the poor worker you sent and thus be delayed heavily because of lack of income. Does this trick work in the N64 version? And in that case, I guess it should be used just as a cool thing, rather than to be abused to save a few frames or whatever ;)

That was actually an awesome idea Highness! FF5 is one game I could actually watch at lower speed just to get the story right. A translated (to english) run would be great!

Aha. Sorry, I didn't check the demos. But that's cool though, even with the cat-fight-sound ;)

Isn't the delay canceled if you have already got a feather equiped? I mean, if you are big and gets a mushroom nothing happens. I don't know this though, I have only played SMW a lot on console, so I don't know this for sure and from a TAS'ing point of view.

Isn't it in front of the Dire Dire Docks entrance?

Once you're inside, you can easily get out without enough stars by using pause->exit from inside the level to get to the main castle area.
Of course! Why didn't I think of that? But, if not using this start-trick, is it possible anyway? Since that particular stair leans downwards (in the room with the first water world which I can't remember the name of), would it still give Mario enough speed to make it through?

That door trick by the way, can it be performed on every star door? The one that allowed him to get into the first water world with 0 stars. And is it possible to get out of there without the necessary number of stars? Awesome anyhow! I never knew about glitches like this.

It's not. The guy there is "Walker Boh Ohmsford". I'm simply "Walker Boh". Meaning, I haven't wrote any walkthrough, but I have contributed with a few tricks, such as for Rygar when Ziplock was around.

I got my name from a fantasy serie called Shannara, 9 (damn the times goes fast) years ago when I started to use internet. I've used it since that. It seems to be a rather popular name though but I haven't played DaoC and I haven't contributed to GameFaqs either ;)

Don't know. My current run is not nearly as fast as it can be, but I did play it with the second player totally pascified. We'll see what happens.

School is taking an awful lot of time nowadays, but I'll try to start this as soon as possible.

Seeing how Genisto breaks Chip n Dale 1 I want to improve this run of mine too. A few months ago I started a new version, changing my tactic regarding the other player to be a total pascifist, but half way through the game I found new ways to improve it further and thus I put it on ice for the moment. I will however improve this eventually. It just won't be today.

Aha. Yeah, now I remember that you can increase the enemies health. That is really hard yes. I used to play around with it but as invicible.

I too was wondering what DLTK means. Why hasn't someone made these hard levels you mention (silo etc) with DLTK?

I would actually like to see a 100%-completion of this game. Getting all items and skulltulas that is I suppose. But maybe that is too much work for too little difference with the ordinary run?

So it has nothing to do with many lives? Crap. Anyhow, I'm starting to get really exciting about this though. This test run was amazing! I can't imagine how a full run would look like. Another idea struck me, but I don't know this. Would it be faster to get a star in the Snowland instead of perhaps the Sandland? Maybe sliding inside the house or floating to the last star that normally requires wall kicks?

Yoshi doesn't appear till you have 120 stars, you can get up to the castle room from either side, but Yoshi won't be there till you're done with the game.
Ahaa. Since I never got up there without the cannon I figured he'd be around even if you hadn't got all the 120 stars. Hmm, but this extra powers are gained from many lives, right? I don't know when the powers starts to kick in but I know that I have died a few times (10 perhaps) and still have got the powers. So perhaps one just need "only" 50 lives or something? If it would help there might be worth picking up 1-up mushrooms along the way? Or maybe they are just out of path for a TAS.

Awesome fantastic run! Truely I can't wait for the 70- and 120-star runs! Another thought hit me. When visiting Yoshi (or getting ridicoulus many lives somehow) Mario will gain extra powers. Could this be of any help? I don't know much about it because everytime I get to Yoshi I'm pretty bored of playing the game but Mario will sparkle and stuff when jumping (perhaps triple jump). Does it do any difference in jumping skills or speed or is it more of a cool effect and a bonus for finding Yoshi and that you have got all 120 stars? Anyhow, even though I have never succeded Yoshi should be reachable without the cannon, right? IF this could save any time somehow I guess it's better in the 70- and 120-star run, but then again it might just be wasted time?

In the first Bowser stage, is it possible to take the first red coin without pressing the button that triggers the bridge? I was thinking that it maybe is possible to jump out there, and then in again with a kick in the air. But maybe it's too far out for that?
