I didn't do it on purpose because there were no real time-saving-situation at any boss this way.

I watched this one yesterday. Not my kind of game, but i managed to watch it without falling asleep anyways. It was OK. I have one question though (I've lost one word, so I'll try to express without it :) ): Wouldn't you be able to save a little bit more time to use the speed you get (backwards) when using the rocket launcher (or whatever it is)? You use it one time after killing a boss to catch up with the other player.
Hmm. Which boss is that? I didn't do this on purpose :) It's true that the bazooka gives you a boost backwards (or forward if turning around) but you can only shot one bullet at the time so it's not that much to gain. I can check it up more.

Oh. Thanks. And thanks to you that fix all this! Edit: This was apparently my 800'th post ;)

Agreed. The game is hard though so the boss amount is pretty good as it is. If not time attacking you can use your weapons more for different enemies though. I read that the ice lollies are good to kill those red blobs for example. And forks&knifes are of course good vs werewolves (silver).

That's good to hear ;) It really is a fun game (atleast I think so) despite it's length. Also, it really is hard, I never managed to get longer than maybe level 30 something on a console.

Ghoul Patrol is the sequel to Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Is there any interest in this game? I tried it very briefly to see if it was the same and if it was fun. I only played the first stage but the gameplay is pretty much different. It's still in "Zelda-view" but you can run, jump and slide now. Your mission is still to rescue your neighbors who are threatened by ghosts and evil beings but in this game the exit door appeared at a fixed place. Which in reality shouldn't be much of a problem in a time attack. Besides this I don't know anything about the game really (there are no FAQ for it at gamefaqs). I've never owned the cartridge nor do I remember anything of it (I played it briefly for a couple of years ago). So, is this something that people would like to see? If so I might check it out some day.

having finaly been able to watch the last movie, unfortunatly i have to vote no. not only did i find the run very hard to sit though, it just did'nt have that "awesome game" feel to it. i almost fell asleep during the run actualy. its just a bad game IMO. however the run was really well done and executed. sorry.
for me it was quite the contrary: I loved to watch this run. Maybe this is because I knew the game (and actually tried to play it, but failed misearbly somehwere around lv23). I especially liked all those "little things". Just look at the "Day of the tentacle"-level. I'm a real fan of the game this level is a hommage to.
I agree with you Philip ;) I love the game too.

Actually, I did try the first level at that game. I might concider it. the game were not the same at all though. I mean, when all neighbors where rescued the exit appeared somewhere else etc.

Just to satisfy my curiosity... what happens when you surf around water?
As far as I have tested nothing special happens, meaning that the jump in/jump out from water and trampolines doesn't change. The animation is the same. It's when landing or getting up from the water it could get interesting, ie. look funny.

I've noticed that the turbo function lacks of functionality at 100% speed. I solved it by playing at 50% when I needed to test something with turbo.

After watching this movie, there are some points that can be improved. Day of the Tentacle: By getting the extra life, you get a delay later when you reach 120.000 points, because the "perfect player" bonus takes longer than the new life.
I'm aware of this but this was the aesthic choice I mentioned in the description. Also I did intentionally aimed for a higher score for the left player, which is the boy.

You use speed boots on two levels in which you have to swim, and you don't swim faster. Unless swimming doesn't consume the time the boots are active, you could get better time by using them on later levels.
"sort of quoting myself from the description up there *points*" Water does not consume running speed with the speed shoes. I know for sure you are talking about level 44, the castle level. This is one of the most boring levels because it forces me to run up and down very much. I think speed shoes were a good choice for this level.

Level 22-B: Can't you destroy the walls to free the tourists? It looks like you can, but I haven't tested it.
"sort of quoting myself from the description up there *points*" These tourists are unsavable and I found no way to resuce them. The walls cannot be shot apart and there are no hidden areas in the level which could lead to there. Thus they must die before I can leave the level ;)

It's fun that the "Perfect player bonus" from player 2 goes to the score of player 1. :)
Indeed ;) I was surprised by this actually. Thanks though for your comments.

I voted yes. I enjoyed the run very much. More of nostalgic reasons than it being a great game. Anyhows, it seemed very well played and I can't find anything to complain about.

Because of the levels designs and the placements of the victims there are not much I can do in my quest to save them. I'm pretty sure I found the fastest way with least backtracking on all levels. Also, in some levels (level 17 is a good example) the tourists force me to rescue them first. Thanks though ;) I hope you liked it.

Do you guys think it's a bad thing the radar is visible for a few frames in Zombies? I performed Nitsujus glitch in the credit level but I couldn't get the radar to be turned off from start so It's visible very briefly. Also, while doing the glitch I can't shoot, thus it's visible for another fewer frames later on in the same level. I wasn't disturbed by this when watching it through but it might be better if it can be avoided? To be honest I don't really understand the difference between "toglify" and "turbo tog". Maybe I screwed up there? Time wise it didn't cost me anything.

Aha. I understood it that way and I also tested it that way. Since I'm about to redo level 48 I maybe can toss it in as a finishing cool-looking trick at the credit level.

It can be improved further. I deeply apologize and I'm canceling this version. I don't know why I didn't thought if this earlier but I'm glad I did now. I'm also glad it's only level 48 that needs to be improved. I'll try to have the improved version ready tonight. It's not very much that needs to be fixed. Sorry again.

I might have done a mistake. After reviewing the whole thing a couple of time I realized I might be able to improve level 48 slightly. I'll try around a bit and see if that can be done. If so, I'm sorry that I again submitted a bad version =(

Thank you (and you others) ;) It was actually really fun to make it. A bit troublesome sometimes but I like what both the characters can do togheter and I'm satisfied with the result.

It's finished with a time of 59:47. Slightly under an hour, which was better than I was hoping for ;) While testing different tactics on the last boss/es I ended the game a few minutes over an hour.
