This is a stupid game really. Worst randomness I've seen. And that´s because my fmv got desynced like 30 times. However im done with it now. It ended with a time of 20:12 and that´s the best I'll do at this game.

I think it´s possible since you can go there without killing Ripley. However, it was several years I played this game so I don´t really know.

Yeah, really annoying. But I managed to find a working ROM as you see and I think it´s a really cool game.

That´s true. However Dragons Lair is more difficult ;) So Jay, do you know any differences between those games? Or are they completely different games?

I have completed this once at an emulator. And yes, the x-wing stage is incredible hard. Isn´t this game pretty long also? Atleast it is in my memory. I could give it a try if I manage to find a working ROM.

One thing that came up in my mind was in 8-4. At one point you (Michael) jumps over a pipe before entering it. I asked myself why and then I tried it and realized it was a genious move, cus else you would be teleported back instead of getting in the water! This time attack is awesome!!

Yeah it looks good. But to me it looked like you replaced the names, time and length by that information window. That´s why I mentioned it. And im totally satisfied with my movies (your subtitles).

Yeah it looks good and not too big. Much useful info in a small "window". However, this might just be for me, but I would like to have my name still there. Else someone can just claim they did the movie and I don´t like that thought. But it might just be me?

I read about glitches somewhere. According to that site it´s possible to enter Draculas Castle without completing the last 2 mansions. http://kontek.net/davidwonn/nes.html#C Just scroll down to Castlevania 2 and the headline "Warp to Draculas Castle ". Don´t know if it would befun to watch though. But it could be cool also. Edit: Uhm, I forgot about the info on Bis site. I guess you guys already know about this.

This game was.. not that funny, and longer than I ever expected. I ended it with a time of 21:16. The coolest in this game is the bosses, which really looks evil ;) But I dunno.. I don´t know how big this game is, I had never heard of it before but since it was on Arcs potential idea list I guess it´s bigger in other countries then here in Sweden. It´s probably possible to beat it in around 20:00-20:30 if you use magic better. However I doubt I will ever play this game again.

Hmm, this game is.. differente. First of all it looks like the Axe armor from Castlevania SotN has escaped and decided to be in an own game (or the other way around since this is older then Sotn). It´s quite hard actually since Astyanax, his axe and all the enemies are like 20 pixels bigger then they look like. I can hit the air and kill them, or be close to them and get hit for no reason. The coolest thing I've discovered is the bosses. They are cool and unusual in NES games. Atleast out of my experience. So. would it still be interesting?

Would a time attack of this game be interesting? I found it on Arcs page I think, in the idea list there. Trying it right now and it seems pretty cool. And hard. If there is any interest in this I could give it a try. edit. The character is some sort of knight running forwards and killing monsters. I don´t know much about the game yet but it looks cool. Atleast the first boss was cool ;)

Those games are beatable. Battletoads and Dragons Lair however I see impossible to beat on a real NES. Dragons Lair is the hardest and stupidest game I've played.

Was thinking of making a new try at this game ;) Wanna compete again Frenom? But this is still an idea in my head. It might turn up to be just a bad idea not worth even try. We'll see what happens.

This topic is kinda old by now but I read it again because this subject is interresting. Now to my question: Do we players have anything to say really? I mean, If I play a game, sending it to Bisqwit whos encoding it to an .AVI file, and then distributes it. Can I claim something for that? I mean just theoretical. I don´t wanna make profit of this. Im just happy that people actually watch my movies and even more happy that there is such a great interest in NES games (which are my favourite console of all times!!). But, Jpt asked (and he has my respect for that!) and others doesn´t. So where´s the difference? I realize that the moment these .AVIs is published they are free for the whole internet. But besides the creator of the game (Nintendo, Capcom etc etc) is there anything we can do? Of course everything is illegaly spread to the internet, mp3s, movies, stuffs, you name it, but im just curious. Anyways, to get it right! These are just thoughts, I _DON´T_ wanna make a profit of my time attacks. Im just happy to see people enjoying them ;) Enough babbling from me for now. Good night. Uhm and btw, Jpt, if you read this you have my permission to use my movies. Just send me a note or something if you decide to do it.

For us with less C++ skills, are there an easy way to do this? I have no knowledge whatsoever in this. And no C++ program. =/

That "This file is illegal" message. Could it be fixed? I thought that the ROM wasn´t compatible in any way with Famtasia. Is it hard to do? Unfortunately I don´t know much about editing stuffs =/ Atleast not on my own.

Bob: It appeared that I was wrong ;) It´s possible to finish the level before the end of it. However the randomness is really stupid *grumbles*
