The water is there because the screen hasn't scrolled down entirely yet. That video shows nothing new.

I don't mean to noob it up here, but is there a wiki anywhere with definitions of the acronyms used in tasing this game? I don't know what a BLJ is (backwards long jump?) or a LLL..
LLL should be Lethal Lava Land.

Backward Long Jump I think.

Reaching the magenta town (Aldra) for the blue->red crystal swap also cannot be done anywhere near fast enough. Even if you skip the river-ferry detour to the Brahm mansion and hearts collecting and stuff, you will still be about one and half minutes (real time) late. These numbers were estimated from watching the TAS, but I do recall that there's really no plausible possibility.
Correct. There are waiting periods you can't avoid.

That's probably the same guide I read, anyone else knows anything else about this game?

Bumping this one again. Does anyone happen to know what the story of this game is? Trying it out 5 minutes didn't help much. I got different weapons and smacked some horsie guys and then I died. Checking gamefaqs didn't help much either I'm afraid. The walkthrough I found there said the story was something like "Athena is bored so she gets out to find something to do". There must be more to it? I'm very grateful for any help of this sort of none-TAS related question. Thank you.

Bwahaha. One of the most awesome runs I've seen so far! I thought I was pretty good at Mario Kart when I was young, but nope. I had a smile on my face the whole movie and I had no idea shortcuts like that existed or that it was possible to go that fast. Awesome! The only thing I can "complain" about is the pausing. It was barely noticable now but if there's a future version coming up I think too much use of pausing could bring down the entertainment value because it might disturb the flow of the run. I think this has been mentioned before too.

Looks like I'm back to TAS'ing! That was a surprise.. Wish you would have asked me first, but I guess it's ok since I have no intentions of TAS'ing this game again anytime soon. Edit: To clarify: I'm not fond of people taking others work like this, I'm just not sure if I'm that bothered nowadays. You said you used a sequence from my old TAS, that's good. You listed me as a player, that's good. You didn't asked me, that I don't like at all. Well, it's an improvement none the less. Good job.

First TAS I made was Addams Family for NES. Took me several replays to get an enough decent version and a few spam mail to get Bisqwit to accept it. The currently published run is about my 10th run of that game, and even though it might not be the bestest of games I for some reason love it!

"What the heck!? He's under the bridge and the falling train!!" This movie was freakin awesome! I used to play this game a lot when I was younger and I know this game inside out, atleast I thought :) Well, only thing I can complain about is that the movie was too short and that you didn't make a perfect run for the touchdown, even though it was beatiful that you got hit where you did. I've always wanted to succeed with that but some of those evil guys always intercepts me. Well, awesome movie!

I just spotted this thread again. Anyway, I can't help you unfortunately but I really hope you keep going! A Lemmings TAS would be so awesome! I played it years ago and it's fun and hard as I remember it. Well, good luck with it!

Anyone remember Ziplock? He was a great guy hanging around here for awhile submitting some TAS'es. What he did mainly though was that he had an own TAS site where he accepted most runs as, if I recall correct, he wanted to have a movie of every game! I really liked this idea. He also held some competitions in order to push the limits of a few games every now and then. The price were money I think. Anyhows, I really liked the dude, but then all of a sudden he dissapeared. I haven't seen him on this forum for a long time now and it sadens me. Does anyone know him? Or know what happend to him? I also recall in some thread someone assuming the worst, that he might had past away somehow. I really hope not, but if, let's cheer and remember a great TAS'er! Atleast I will remember Ziplock.

"Billy! What the hell is wrong with you?" This could be one of the best quotes I've ever heard. Also from Predator.

I totally agree too. I haven't followed this discussion much lately, but this thread is certainly enough. Why should TAS-ers change everything for _one_ community? I fail to understand that logic.

Ya. Good luck with whatever you are gonna do, and I really appreciate your efforts with Star Fox for N64 (Lylat Wars). Take care and I hope you atleast will visit the forums every now and then! Take care!

This was like a weird music video on drugs. I have not played this game so I have no idea what was happening there. This unfortunately greatly reduced the awesomeness for me. It was fast for sure, but.. but what's going on!? Good job anyway I suppose.

I tossed another yes-vote on the pile. Awesome run! I can sort of agree with that meh-vote. I've lost count on how many and which Super Metroid runs I've seen, but this run was fantastic and it had it all! And it should be judged by it's own even though there has been many before it. I loved the spring ball ninjaness and also the fact that you used Samus crystal flash (?, when she refills energy inside the white bubble). That's a really cool trick which made me smile. And finally, the ending in-game time. I never thought it could get that low with 100% items collected. Fantastic!
