I guess this one is comparable to Shadowgate but the obvious difference is the glitches. Both games have solid objectives to advance (get a key to open a door, get a certain item to kill a certain monster, etc). Problem is, in here it's not THAT impressive... but other than that, I don't see what's the problem to accept this movie (there's a different route too so it's not a frame war)... and come on, being 20 seconds long I'm sure it's not a pain to watch it.

Just for the hell of it I guess... or plain out just for curiosity?

Another fighting TAS... *sigh* well, until I watch it I can't really complain so let's give it a try... On another note, why you people keep requesting for encodes? it's not like we won't have any if people don't ask for it so why bother at all?... And I'm pretty sure we have plenty of encoders who'd gladly do it right away (or when they have time). Speaking of which, I think I never said it but it's a good time to do so; thank you to all encoders for your good work, keep it up.

Short enough movie so yes vote... just me or the "Merry Christmas" at the end kind of reminds the Maniac Mansion logo?

Grassini, how many members do you think have played this game before? Probably very few. This run and many others would sit in the Workbench forever if such a ridiculously arbitrary requirement was expected of us.
Ridiculous arbitrary requirement? The number of people that are expected to vote(which is arbitrary) in order to this get published (or not) is too high, specially for an unknown game. Ideally,it would be nice if the same amount of players and non players voted,so we could actually have a balanced view, which would protect from the game's fanboys and haters. That would be EXTREMELY hard to keep track of,as SDA shows with their run verifying(they keep track of players) ,which just takes a lot of time despite the hard work. Mostly, this is all about the entertainment rule. The voting system is just an extension. It's all about pleasing the TAM/S fans, while Gruefood Delight keeps getting the goodies instead of letting the frontpage have those beautiful runs. tam/s="tool assisted mario/shitglitchfest" EDIT:maybe the judges should play the game too, considering how long it will stay in workbench hehehe
Correct if I'm wrong but isn't this being TOO ELITIST?... I mean, this is a community and as such everyones vote despict their interests, abilities (or the games they've played) are supposed to have the same value. Isn't it an irony that you seem to hate "TAM/S fans" (as you call them which seems far fetched too), but you're actually doing exactly the same by telling everyone else that we know nothing just because we didn't played that game and as such our opinion doesn't count?. Lastly, "The number of people that are expected to vote(which is arbitrary) in order to this get published (or not) is too high, specially for an unknown game." you do know votes are just a little part of a judgement right?, I mean, look at the gruesome food, there are a lot of movies with a 97% yes votes but still they got rejected and some published ones have 5 or 6 total votes and still they got published so I'm not sure why you're so pissed about the voting system if at last the judge has the final word and he looks at way more things rather than votes alone.

Well I'm between voting meh or yes, mostly because of the "run right for justice (and ocasionally bomb for rightness)" the game is kind of boring itself... yet the video is short enough to make it more tolerable even though I wouldn't choose to watch it again... the technical merit is what's pushing me more on the "yes" vote. I'll vote later, right after clearing up my mind (eating something that is).

people who didn't play this should refrain from voting,IMO they have no right to vote for a game they know nothing about (i hope "those" people read this post)
That sounds pretty dumb to me. The entertaining value is just the same from people who have played it or not... although people who had played it might actually value it a bit more but still that's not important when judging if it's publishable material.

Gosh, not that debate of "no damage make it looks good" again... I thought we already settled it

The damage is actually needed to get up to some point or to get past something faster, also that the game makes it look sloppy so I got pissed when I watched it on playback cause I did everything perfectly as I can
Well, yes, maybe I'm being harsh. For now, why you take damage in the plant at 1:15 of the encode?. It appears you can get to that place with just a jump instead of getting hurt.

Well as some has pointed out, I don't know the game fondly but just by looking at it I can tell it's not optimized enough, there are some sloppy moves (mostly with the spitting) and the health management is not that good (sometimes you take damage with no real use). Voting no, sorry.

As someone who has never played this game, seen it played, and just experienced it for the first time with this run. I have to vote no. I still cannot believe I sat through all of this. Honestly, act 1 is the same as acts 2-8, at least in my opinion. There is not much variety in the levels other than running left/right. The most interesting parts are the fights for enemies and the boss fights, which were a bit lengthy. While this may have been hard to TAS, and you may have spent a lot of time on this ( I have not been following the WIP) I have to vote no. Tl:DR Repetitive levels and Boring boss fights, warrent a No vote from me.
I agree, the run seems optimized enough but the levels are too repetitive making it more boring the longer you watch it. The game has nice music and graphics but the gameplay itself doesn't offers much. Voting Meh.

This run has more action than your run of GBC Lucky Luke, and only one autoscroller (which was entertaining anyway). I liked the shooting level too; it was funny and provided some variety to the platforming.
Uh... there's 2 autoscrollers, the lion in the circus part and the mine cart. And the minigames are really a pain to watch, almost nothing happens on the screen and there's about 4 of them. I'm between a Meh vote (due to it being optimized enough) and a No vote (not very enjoyable to watch at all) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: Voting Meh, it's not bad but I think it really lacks some more crazyness (the lion part was actually interesting though) and perhaps if someone finds a good glitch that makes a level more skippable perhaps it could make the movie more publishable.

Nice improvement man! An obvious yes vote from me (if i have enough posts yet that is) as I always been a fan of your work. Also for those that need it i provided a tmp sd encode for those that need it before voting. http://www.mediafire.com/?7cmn9ct1oqpnu4m
Thanks for the encode! As for Dooty... you never cease to amaze me, always delivering the finest. Cheers and keep up the good work. Yes vote of course.

Nice. I liked watching the beast go rampage in the published run but getting rid of the underwater section totally made for it. Yes vote of course.

I really like it and it's a nice improvement. But maybe it would be better if it was in the hardest difficulty available (I know it would be slower than the published run for the reasons you said but I still think it's better)... just a random thought.

Very nice improvment, voting yes of course. By the way, out of curiousity, what it says at the end of the credits? (the easter egg)

So the last boss cycle is made just once in this submission instead of twice (like in the published run)? That sounds really nice, waiting for an encode though to look the final result.

The Track and Field part (12:25 ~ 15:30) was horribly boring... anyway, the run itself looks KIND OF optimized but as mklip2001 mentioned, I'm not sure how you managed your health and so maybe there could be some more improvments here and there. I'm not sure what to vote since it does looks nice (enough for a yes) but not as optimized to be publishable (Meh vote) and the Track and Field part is a solid No vote... still, I think I won't vote on this one for now.
