How could I be late to this "camera angles" drama... I mean, come on, on some FPS the angle is basiclly non existant because to save time you must look at the wall or the floor most of the time and I don't see a lot of people complaining about it. So if you can or can't see most of the action that hurts the enterteinment (no doubt) but the fact the movie IS faster is a heavier reason to vote Yes until someone else figures out another faster and more angle free way.

Voting yes and on a side note: Why does Mysterio have an evil R2-D2 walking around?... or it's just the evil vacuum cleaner?

The game itself is alright, the battles are fun to watch but those dialogues breaks are SO SLOW AND BORING and ruined it for me... so I'll vote meh.

Leaving the sound problems behind. The title "Monkey Magic" stays VERY true to it's run. Voting "Yeah why not"

You do realize that this is faster than the other run, right?
that doesn't mean anything, there is a known improvement that hasn't been implemented, that means "no" for me, kind of the same reason why I voted no on criticaluser's early AW1 glitch run
Wait... the fact a movie is FASTER than a previous one means NOTHING?... you DO realize this is TASVideos.org?, and that TIME and entertainment is basiclly what this site is about and you're saying TIME doesn't mean ANYTHING?... Something's REALLY wrong with that statement, I invite you to think what you're typing before posting. AND if you're planning on using the "with continues this run could be faster" argument well... we HAD that run checked and even if it was rejected this one is ALREADY FASTER THAN THAT ONE, FASTER THAN USING CREDITS AND MORE AWESOME.

Voted meh because it can't be "fastest time" if stage 5 was slower. .......... Don't hate me!
Won't hate you but rather ask: In some runs were the improvments in a certain stage sometimes makes the next one a bit slower BUT still the run is faster than the previous one are already acepted... what's the big "meh" issue in this one? I really can't understand what are people complaining about now. This run is faster AND with NO deaths which was the biggest "NO" on the previous one... I want to believe some are just trolling around, really.

A kamikazee tank straight to the helicopter rotor, priceless indeed. Voting Yes of course and let's see what other things people will complain about.

I remember I used this "trick" in almost everysingle Bomberman title when possible... obviously not as perfectly as this TAS runs. The boss battles and the whole world 5 made me giggle as a little girl, voting Yes.

So why this game have the the same sound effects from "The Simpsons Bart vs the mutants" and some levels are even similar and... well, just compare both games. Leaving that aside... kind of annoying the jumping sound effect especially when done in a row... anyhow, voting Meh due to game being bad /

BUT if it's for skipping that dang boss with very high health that annoyingly appears from nowhere in the middle of the level and saves up to 2 minutes of constant shooting then it's a big fat HELL YEAH MOVING ON.
Then someone should unreject that Metal Slug X submission. In that case the "2 minutes of constant shooting" which are skipped do not apply to a boss, but to some underground trains, but the point stands. I prefer to see the continue screen rather than bangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbang for no entertainment reason.
Exactly!, that's what I said in the Metal Slug submission, if IT'S used there I see NO problem... but if you reach, let's say, the giant jet boss in the middle of the level 3 and die just to get the power ups of the continues it seems silly... altough, in the train part of Metal Slug X I think there's plenty enough weapons to actually destroy the trains (some R and a C) and the prisioners up top which makes you fat and actually the second train always drops grenade ammo and the third one the G weapon... but meh, don't know how many frames would had take to make all that. Anyway, back to the point, credits perfectly OK as long it's for REAL efficency instead of "powering up"

The stage 10 (caverns) remind me of the last stage of Earthworm Jim (Buttville) for some reason... Anyhow, nice short movie, voting Yes.

Voting "no, with rare exceptions" basiclly because Arcades that gives power ups when using credits might get abused too much and make the run look more like if it were played by a noob who almost purposley die so he can get that "advantages" just before a boss battle and kill him quickly rather than a god like entity which completely destroys the game from it's beginning. ALTHOUGH, sometimes using credits might be just useful because in more than one game a certain enemy boss or certain scene can be skipped through death and in such cases the credit is more used thinking in actual efficency rather than getting "more powerful". So I guess it all falls in the category of "WHY was the credit used"... if it's for the power ups it'a big fat GO TO HELL DO THE RUN AGAIN. BUT if it's for skipping that dang boss with very high health that annoyingly appears from nowhere in the middle of the level and saves up to 2 minutes of constant shooting then it's a big fat HELL YEAH MOVING ON.

OK, watched the movie and BEFORE I vote some statements My position on using credits is that they are perfectly legit and you may use credits as long they are completly necessary to avoid sacrifying efficiency (or time in this case)... in other words I'm pro continues. SADLY I think some of these continues could had been avoided for example, in mission 5 you could had grabbed the first Slug and carry it along and sacrifice it before taking the other one (the one just before the boss battle), prior to saving some ammo you could had *maybe* used it against the boss and avoided using the continue. The time spent on Marco and Tarma deaths bringing them back for the grenades would had been compensated by the single frames it would had took on taking the slug along. On the last mission something similar happened, when the last bridge like thingie exploded a slug falls from it, so if you waited for just some frames the slug falls down on the ship and thus you could had used it against Morden instead of dying. In resume I think the slugs capacity is seriously understimated and you MUST had took them along and avoided killing the player to get 10 grenades because remember the slug have 10 cannon ammo and plus it's sacrifice attack is massive and all that firepower directly affects the time it may take to defeat the bossess. So as sad it may be I'm voting "no" because I'm SURE this little details can be worked on and make a better movie, as for the continues I don't really take them in consideration at all.

First of all, the submission states it perfectly clear "Take damage to save time Take death to save time" IF death OR damage can save up time while aiming for fastest time then what the hell is wrong with using continues?... I mean, the first time I finished the Metal Slug arcade (which was set in hardest difficulty... bastard arcade manager) I used more or less 25 credits, so what's the REAL difference here?. ALSO take in consideration here in Metal Slug is a one hit game (one hit and you're dead, no healt bars or such) look at the other movies were they take damage and they are easily touched more than 3 or 4 times for stage which in Metal Slug means 3 or 4 lives FOR stage (talking about being fair?) Remember this run is aiming for fastest time so using any strategy is completly acceptable, I know many people here expects a no-death run (I admit I also get a bit disappointed everytime I see the character die everytime someone or me play a Metal Slug game) but that would sacrifice A LOT OF TIME (for example in Metal Slug X level 5, train wagons). So I think this "issue" is more of a "feeling of greatness" than actual efficency.

Very repetitive in stages and process (lots of free falling either in normal stages and the bonus with that penguin). Voting No for monotony, sorry.

Just as everyone said already; auto scrolling games aiming for fastest time is just not accurate in any sense. Maybe the only way to make an auto scrolling game worth is with some bullet dancing or something VERY creative, otherwise is just like looking at someone good at it just playing it. Voting No and expecting a better submission because this game have much to offer.

So the sword is for showing and not for blowing, interesting... stupid jokes aside, kind of boring to see him sliding most of the time but well if that's the only way to make it quick guess it's passable mostly due the movie is short enough not to be boring. Voting Yes because it's nicely done and the cutscenes made me giggle.
