alden: In Greek, it would be "When I get home, I'm going to eat wood!" Warp: They are more logical than you think. "Knock yourself out" is the same concept as "break a leg," meaning "feel free to do that until you hit an excess." "Tell me about it" connotes that they are accepting your point and are interested to hear more.

Grr. I'll be voting as soon as I can watch this, but you can pretty much expect a Yes vote from me when I get back to the states. Still, this beats the 40:xx predictions I had a few years ago. Good work!

For what it's worth, I will be in Dublin from the 17th to the 19th if anyone wants to join me for a few rounds before I head off to Athens. IM LOOKING AT YOU, LDC.

Avoid the tourist traps. A nice stroll through central park is usually more rewarding than most other attractions. Sit in on an airing of TRL if you want to hate your life.

Right, but there are enemies with Lores that you encounter before you get Strago in your team, so it's still appropriate.

Of course not. There are just a few people on this site who are dogged by perfection to the point that theoretical yet unattainable improvements will keep them from progressing.

Well... that sucks. I can't see any good reasoning for that. Oh well. At least you can still pick up some Lores from the Veldt, right?

The thing about getting all the Rages is that it gives you ample time to level 3 other characters while Gau is diving. That gives you the chance to make good headway towards the Blitzes, maybe pick up some Lores, and level up a third person for no reason other than higher stats. Plus, that gives a huge array of Rages to use throughout the rest of the run, thereby adding variety to each future battle. In summary, who is going to start doing this run?

Also, saying "all skills (character specific)" seems to imply that you'd only get skills for specific characters.
Sorry. It should imply that you are getting the skills that are specific to characters.

Why would that not include Lore, Rage, or Dance skillsets? I thought you get all the SwdTech skills when you complete Cyan's side quests in the WoR, and Sabin gets all of his Blitzes when he gets Bum Rush. Right? Dances are incredibly easy to get, so that just leaves Lore and Rage farming for about an hour or two.

That was the plan this whole time. Keep the current any% run on the site and then add a "100%" run to go alongside it. Did you think that we were going to obsolete the current one with a full submission?

Mortal Kombat was awesome and if you disagree then we aren't friends anymore. I'm also going to say that Bram Stoker's Dracula was very loosely based on Castlevania: namely, they both include vampires and vampire hunters.

The discussion is more or less in response to the fact that FF6 has SO MUCH CONTENT that is being skipped over in speedruns. Massive amounts of characters are ignored, cool techniques never experienced, memorable events passed, etc. People just want a run that does justice to the wide berth that FF6 offers. It's not that I would expect the runner to slowly go through each notable conversation, or to show off every little trick in the game, but it would be nice to see how these portions of the game could be handled when they are otherwise not involved at all.

Ok then. I propose an all-character, all-Esper, all-skill (character specific), submission which beats the entire game. I think the only thing that this would skip that most other people would look for are item quests involving the coliseum and maybe a few cool boss fights.

That's a good point. By the way, would an 'all characters' run include Shadow's dream sequences?
I'm pretty sure you don't get anything for completing them (aside from an interesting back story), so it shouldn't be allowed.

Continuing that analogy, how should we go about correcting an MIT graduate who acts like a 2 year old?
Simple correction SHOULD be enough to hinder further blatant errors, assuming the graduate is responsible, respectable, and persuadable. Ridicule the graduate if it continues to lazily make stupid mistakes. Restrict the graduate's ability to publish mathematics works until it can illustrate proper/necessary/respectable levels of forethought/effort/diligence. Terminate the graduate if it attempts to evade restrictions.

Also, it was because of AKA. Bisqwit would never reply to xipo or parrot14green the way he did to AKA.
The epic difference here is that AKA is a native speaker, whereas parrot14green and xipo are not. The fact that the latter two have grammatical errors is due to a lack of experience with the language. AKA's errors in prose, syntax, grammar, etc. are due to laziness and/or hastiness. Bad analogy: If an MIT graduate writes 4x4=15, you would probably correct the slight mistake. Chances are, they didn't take the time to look at what they were doing, and they should be grateful that you caught an otherwise silly error on their part. If a 2 year old writes 4x4=15, you could correct them, but you would probably actualize that they made the mistake out of ignorance, rather than laziness.

Great submission. I've always been a big fan of explosions and big tires. Giving this a Yes Vote. Also, congratulations on submission #2000.

DMG applies to more than just GBx games (hello other Dot Matrix Game cartiges!). Therefore, if someone were to assert that the term DMG should be used to connote GB/SGB/GBC/etc, then the category would have to be broadened to include Game Gear and other DMG style carts. Since that is not the case on this site, as we don't have a proper emulator for the other types of DMG ROMs, the section should stay labeled as GBx, since it only contains GBx and not DMG libraries. Hitler tried to establish that DMG was the proper way to go, and look what happened to him! Also, Hitler didn't drink and avoided red meat. Just sayin'...

Being at a disadvantage doesn't mean you can't win. Being at an advantage doesn't mean you will win. Still, though, Ganondorf undoubtably got a lot less to work with then Snake or Pit. Speed has always been the superior stat in Smash, and Ganon is slower then ever in Brawl.
Right, but the whole idea behind the chart is still flawed. You can't for sure say that one character is at a disadvantage to another because you can't account for play styles, skill, or priority manipulation. While I agree that speed is important, the heavy hitters in Brawl are getting a lot of love lately. Aren't Dedede and Ike some of the most used/victorious characters in competitions lately?

100% is all characters, Espers, Lore, Dance, Rage, Blitz, SwdTech, etc. There is no reason to make finite item fetching necessary, and there is no reason to start banning techniques.
