Zelda 64 was a single segment... Segmented runs aren't allowed on this site.

This happens for me too, did exactly what GuanoBowl told us to do.
Try raw input, both on and off?

Sure the site already has a run in this category (gradius), but this game is different enough to still be interesting. The casual video game player will watch this in awe - definitely nothing that is possible for a human to do. I say yes.

I don't understand why we can't just use subtitles. They don't have to be on every non-english video and can be made as requested by whoever has the interest/knowledge in it to make them.

Yeah - no way it spells a message - 1000/4 = 250 >> 26. It does give you ascii character codes, but that's mostly garbage (of course).

I'd say the game is what's really dull. Slow movement/cursor movement. Boss fights are the only things that are quick - all except for the goliath fights which aren't all that interesting either. You seemed to do a good job on this run, but I don't think anything could make a 100% run publishable.

Although this game is dull to watch, this tas does improve over the previous one by a decent margin. Voting yes.

I love these monopoly videos. Amazing how quick these computer AIs can be beaten using extreme luck manipulation.

I voted yes - mainly because this is an improvement to a famtasia run. The only thing that really salvages a TAS of this game is how easy it makes this difficult game look. The second quest is retarded, but a true TAS of the game wouldn't be complete without it as the game isn't really over. EDIT: What's with the hole in the guy's shoulder? Horrible animation in this game :p

That sounds like an "any percent" type of strategy to me.
It is an any percent strategy - just applied to a non-100% sort of item. Like in FODA's SM64 run with the gold coins. 100% of the gold coins in the game is not required for the 100% run. I don't think that Mumbo's token's are required for 100% - there is no good reason that I can come up with for getting them all.

I agree with BD. The mumbo tokens should only be collected as needed. Getting all of them wouldn't make the run any more interesting, and not getting them all adds to the strategy - which mumbo tokens are the quickest to get? My vote is that 100% should go by the stuff totalled in the start menu.

Although this does still look improvable, I'm voting yes because it's still a good TAS.

I am not certain - not until it does desync would I be certain. It may work fine though.

Technically you should be able to play it using any video plugin - the video plugin shouldn't be able to make the movie desync. However, the video plugin is able to desync in certain cases (can't remember the exact causes), with an example being the pause screen in OoT, and so I'm sure it would desync in Majora's Mask as well. Unless this gets fixed, one of the openGL solutions is preferred for recording by a few of us.

Voted meh. Good run of a bad game. An amazing portion of this game is just running without even having to dodge enemies. Snakes falling from trees after rambo has nearly entered the next screen is just pitiful :p

yep - not everyone here uses windows. I'd like to watch WIPs without having to wait for it to be encoded to avi.

I agree with adelikat. Most first generation racing games just don't make for a good tas.

My bad, I had just done the search inside of the SNES forum - didn't see the one in the offtopic forum. EDIT: Like D_Rok said, there are no threads in this forum about it - only a short mention of it buried in a couple threads.

This has always been one of my favorite games for the SNES and I think it's suitable for making a TAS of - lots of planning involved, and luck manipulation could be taken to the extreme to manipulate food drops so that the better stuff in each world can be gotten before having to go against the boss, without taking (much) extra time.

Gonna have to get some help from someone else - I haven't done too much with mail servers so I'm reaching the end of my knowledge there ;p

I would suggest installing mailx - that way you can run the command 'mail' from the command line to view your mail. For thunderbird - what happens if you try sending yourself a message using thunderbird, and then checking your mail?
