AdBlock Plus (and the built-in ad blockers in Opera, Konqueror, QTWeb, and Arora) can block any resource requested by your browser or by any plugin therein; it's harder to use the right-click method but the maintainers of filter subscriptions deal with figuring out what patterns to block for you.
Also the suggestion for using a Flash blocker is to keep Flash from loading right away, which helps if you queue up a lot of YouTube tabs.
Did you make sure you set up the button associations?
If you had an older version of VBA and put the new one in a separate folder, you may want to copy vba.ini (and vba-over.ini if it exists) to the folder where the new version of VBA is, for the sake of convenience.
IMO it's in an INI file, but you should be able to go to Tools>Emulator>Settings... and then choose BIOS in the drop-down list and set that to the folder where the BIOS files are
I believe there are ROMs that have the Sufami Turbo BIOS appended to them, and those usually have SMC extensions, while the BIOS itself is STBIOS.BIN
AFAIK the only reason for the SMC extension is so file associations can more easily be set up; for some reason most Genesis ROMs use the BIN (undifferentiated binary) extension rather than SMD or GEN, and the scene could have settled on BIN for SNES ROMs also and I'm glad it didn't.
ooo, I will try changing those characters in SciTE
and if that fails, I will try compiling in Cygwin
EDIT: it worked, I just opened the MIDI file in SciTE and changed "Line-End Characters" from CR+LF to LF and then chose the "Convert Line-End Characters" option
Surprisingly, despite the existence of Acmlm's run, there is not already a thread about this game.
Based on this irreverent review and the lack of a video showing off the sequence break in which you trade your boots for an Escapipe, use that in the dungeon at the beginning instead of talking to the person on the other side of the grate, and find out you cannot continue the game, I made a non-tool-assisted demonstration movie showing how to do it and what parts of the game you can still explore after you're done.

The video is just over 13 minutes long, but if the basic route were TASed (like going through the entire basement, collecting all of the items, taking both exits, talking to the king at least once, meeting up with Maia again, and trying to exit town), it might be able to be short enough for YouTube.
That ads popping up is back again, I timed it somewhat, pops up every 1 minute to 1 minute 15 seconds. I had to click off 15 times in that 17 minutes video.
I seek better embed video over DM, wegame.com no good?
I think I already mentioned it, but using Fanboy's adblock filters may be a good idea; filters like them can block any resource requested by Flash, including ads, and I just found out that in addition to Firefox, K-Meleon, Opera, and SRWare Iron, it is also possible to load these filters into Konqueror and set up subscriptions in Arora (and there are also plugins for Safari on the Mac to let you do the same thing): http://fanboy.co.nz/adblock/
It's unfortunate that you can't just add elements of Flash ads to the filters by right-clicking the way you can with ads, but it is possible to block ads if you already know what to look for (or get a subscription from someone who knows).
I have not seen any ads on DailyMotion since I installed the filters.
If only Kega Fusion allowed people to make TASes...sadly, even if it were made open-source it would be a bitch to do because it's all in assembly, and cross-platform issues would be even nastier (until recently there wasn't even a MacIntel version or an Intel Linux version)
I use Fanboy's filters in Opera to block the DailyMotion ads (I also block all popups by default): http://fanboy.co.nz/adblock/
It's even easier to install the filters in Firefox than in Opera (just a click away vs. downloading an INI file and putting it in the right place while Opera is closed), and they are also available for SRWare Iron (a special build of Chromium, the open-source project on which Chrome is based).
I think it's unusual that the standard for when to end input and the standard for when to end encoding results in encodes ending in the 30-second "enter your name" screen, taking up more than half of the video.
On another note, I thought it was funny when I learned that Flygon is actually a ground type, not flying.
