I've been using three subdirectories of %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop\ for my non-installed stuff...
programs for most non-installed binary distributions and also all Desktop shortcuts (I use Launchy to access most programs)
eBooks for PDFs, CHMs, and the like
games for emulators, ROMs, ISOs, and TASes
(I also have a folder "C:\TAS" intended for all encoding of TASes...though I've only used it for one encode so far)
This is on XP but it should work in NT4 to 7; %ALLUSERSPROFILE% is the environment variable showing where "All Users" stuff is stored, like "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users" on XP and "C:\Users\Public" on Vista, and %USERPROFILE% is similar but for just your own profile.
also Raiscan, did XP mode just restart itself (like when a Classic application in PPC Tiger makes you "restart" your computer but it's just the Classic environment that restarts), or did it really force your computer to reboot?
I also did not like the use of speed metal...
Then again I am not sure my idea would have been much better: The intro from "Horizons" by LTJ Bukem followed by a loop from "Balance" by New Horizons (either original or the version with MC Conrad); atmospheric D+B ftw.
One thing I remember about control stick spinning was that there was a saying that if your skin came off and there was blue-ish flesh below, it meant you were gay. I was quite glad to see a very shiny pinkish red on my hand when it happened for the first time. Only God knows where I'd be now, had it been blue. :/

This said, on your notice of acceptance, I would refuse to view videos on and block any access to your account from my machines. Youtube ads are very intrusive and annoying and I don't think the amount of income it could provide is worth the nuisance.
the answer is three-pass encoding at the lowest bitrate that still looks good; it takes a really long time to get it right, as I discovered when I set out to encode the new Metroid run a couple months ago (and did such a good job it became the official encode)

It might, but as long as they are in your PATH environment variable or are referred to in the Registry or the relevant INI files it shouldn't be a problem.
By wipe everything, arflech of course means run D-BAN on the drive first.

An easier idea is to insert a Linux LiveCD and reformat as a new partition type, then either remove the partition or install the OS of choice.
I've used forensics tools that would see straight through that. If you've ever typed a social security number on a computer, you can't be too paranoid about what happens to the disk. I usually suggest thermite.
How about making a file that is exactly 4KB (or the size of an allocation unit) and then copying it until the disk is full and then removing all of those copies?
Couldn't make it past the 20 minute mark. I ended up skipping ahead to see if it got more interesting, only to find that the levels just get more complicated/longer.
I'm afraid this gets a No from me.
