3) Just use VLC or (s)mplayer.
Another excellent option for Windows users is Media Player Classic; it's easier to use than mplayer or smplayer and works better (once the Haali splitter is installed) with the encoded MKVs than VLC, although it is not cross-platform also re: installing new software VLC and MPC install easily and do not conflict with anything else, and mplayer does not even need to be installed; also I know at least for watching RealMedia it has long been preferable to use Real Alternative (best way to install MPC IMO) because the official RealPlayer is spyware-infested, and then it turns out to be an excellent choice for most other video types also...

Your join date is listed right under your avatar at the left of every post; it's not quite so simple to find out the order in which we joined though, that's what the "Memberlist" link at the top is for.

I just found out that the oldest active user here is Bisqwit and more interestingly that the second-oldest is... ...our new overlord, Nach. (adelikat came along a few months later, probably still among the oldest 100 active users.)

Why is your version of zlib smaller than the official one from zlib.net? Did you perform some compiler optimization?

I know that the use of "ou" leads many Westerners to make a hyper-foreign reading, like reading the last word in the Japanese name of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Bouken) as "BU-ken" instead of "BOW-ken" (as if it were a French word); then again ō isn't easy to type and "o" is inaccurate... Anyway I think the main reason to prefer English names is that most users of this site understand English but not Japanese, even among those not fluent in either.

They hate full disclosure because they think it gives script-kiddies carte-blance to hax0r shit up, and they have a point, especially when the entity discovering an exploit doesn't give the vendor enough time to fix it.

I'll still be sad to see BisqBot go, unless whatever new bot replaces it has all of its amazing functionality!

Anyway, I didn't need to buy anything for that... I had a broken link cable, and I got the old printer cable from a friend. I just had to solder them together.
Wow, I thought I was l33t when I hacked up a broken USB-A cable so the wires would fit into a USB header-end and then I could install my internal card-reader with an internal USB port because my motherboard had no USB headers!

Seriously though, "TAS encodes" should replace "Linux ISOs" as the euphemism du jour.

heh, I'd rather development effort be put into getting the Linux RRing tools mature, rather than developing for a platform that any self respecting person would never use.
At least he didn't ask why FCEU didn't work on Mac OS 9.

IIRC there are devices that have a cartridge-reader on one end and a USB or serial connector on the other end: http://justfuckinggoogleit.com/

There are devices for doing that; that's all I will say and that's probably the most I can say here without breaking the rules.

IMO you dump the SRAM from the real Emerald, then use it along with the SRAM from the emulator in a two-emulator trading setup, and finally return that SRAM back to the real cart; then again AFAIK dumping devices usually only dump the ROMs, not the SRAMs.

Lithopolis, OH @Arflrck, I never tried Linux before but I will wipe out the data and install the OS like you said.
https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ Of course if you'll sell or donate it soon then a better idea would be to download an ISO and burn it, which is then just as easy as using DBAN

Beleive it or not, there are chinese TASers here. And they work just as hard and slack off just as much as everyone else. Anyway, If I was going to make a website, I would outsource everything to free services and such so I wouldn't have to pay a cent.
as long as the site wouldn't become nearly as big or popular as TASVideos that would be a viable option, just hope you don't get dugg

A better English translation of bishota/bishōnen/biseinen is metrosexual IMO. Also Johannes I salute you for being an Opera user.
