I think we need a list both for straight body count and kill per minute. As for pacifist, the most pacifist run on the site (without having the catergory) is Kings Bounty with zero kills in a little under 10 seconds. In fact, it beats most "pacifist" movies.

I'm having the same problem as Sp00ky.

But that changes the entire route for the 100% run. Looks like I'm starting from scratch again. Also, this makes planning a lot harder. As for the run, it was really strange, but short enough that all the off screen action didn't become annoying. Yes for publication. Yes for obsoletion.

But then what would be left? I'll be the idiot fall guy this time.

Yeah. I'll do that once I get around to it. I actually managed to get a Great Armor soul without almost no delay. The solution, oddly enough, involved using a cat. Also funny, I move faster than the cat.

This game can be done without using glitches in real time and using only the given checkpoints. In fact, that was done by the programmer's friend. Here's a couple of links to the video playlists http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=2A4C8FFD54A1AA10 http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=0B2DB30996951E4C It was originally put up on nicovideo, but the link bkDJ put up seems to require you to log in.

Here. I'm thinking of following zggzdydp's run up to Balore and branching after that to get Black Panther. However, Legion and more importantly Galamoth need to be gotten before then to prevent backtracking. As for this run, I know I make a lot of mistakes. My primary goal is to make Soma one of the luckiest people in the world, so I get a lot of items I don't need. I'm also learning the physics of the game. I may go back and rework it later if I feel it's worth it, but I kind of want to press forward for now. I have a couple ideas for Balore, too. Hopefully they turn out to save time.

You know, I didn't think a TAS of Kaizo would be that impressive. Good job at proving me wrong. I really like the use of invisible blocks and invulnerability times. Also, when you killled Yoshi near the end of the second world. That was hilarious. The one complaint I do have is in the underwater stages and after you get the cape in the first world. The action just seemed to stop then (it's a complaint I have about all the Mario World runs except for small only. I can't watch the all exits run) Are you planning on submitting this? If so, I look forward to it.

I don't see a reason why we need more than one thread for this game. Besides, the other thread is on the second page. Anyway, I've been working on mine on and off. It's still on normal, so if the community decides hard will be better, I'll make it a demo run. Luck manipulation is still a PITA. I'm currently at Great Armor, but have a pause before his soul, which I don't like. I can't see how to get it any quicker, though. I've been trying to find other values for drops, but so far I've only found the one. I have managed to take around twenty frames off the drop time, though. (it's about 4.5 minutes on normal so far, so adjust for expert and.. I'm not sure)

Pirate, can I get a status report on your run? Are you any farther than the last WIP you posted?

One I would like to see is number of times the player dies but the death isn't taken off the death counter, either because of a glitch, or something happens to interrupt it. Obviously, Tails dying doesn't count.

looking at the second places, I agree that this would have put a lot of contenders on the list.

Missing a trick in a very stylized run and having to reinput that style. It never comes out quite as good the second time.

Sorry for the long time to respond. I've been very lazy as of late, and I'm trying to overcome it. Anyway, to address your concerns. It's not advantageous to jump in the wind because the wind will pick you up when you jump and give you next to no control. Also, jumping over enemies is impossible. Jumping over grass is important, and I am keeping that in mind, but because of the wind, I don't think it will save any time here. It's just timed exactly wrong. Most times when I'm walking diagonally and I don't need to, it's because I'm trying to keep the wind from pushing me into a wall and slowing me down even more. (I think that's what you're talking about) Again, I can't jump there because the wind will pick me up and just slam me into the wall. I take damage from the spike because when I jumped I thought I saw a recoil when I landed that wasn't there when I just ran over it. I may be seeing things though. If you can confirm it, that would be great.

If it's finished in time, Aria of Sorrow 100% will be the luckiest TAS of 2008. This year, it's LoZ

So confused. Link's Awakening, no, Harmony of Dissonance, no, Link's Awakening, no, Harmony of Dissonance, no, Zero Mission, no, Link's Awakening, no, Harmony of Dissonance, etc. *Flips a few coins I'm voting for Harmony of Dissonance.

Journey to Silius, Splatterhouse 2 and RCR are all very funny in different ways. (As well as the rest, these are just my top three). The entire point of RCR was to be funny, and the people who made it did a good job, although it did drag in some places. While Journey to Silius may not be laugh out loud funny, it's got so many great stylistic moments, which considering how little you have in the way of moves during the game is quite impressive. In the end I voted for Splatterhouse 2, with its pose-fighting, turning the back to the camera, insinuating certain things (apparently unintentionally) and just general messing around, the entire run is just goofy.

I haven't seen Link's Awakening because I can't get it to play and the AVI doesn't work for me either. Of the others, Zelda II is a pretty fun glitch, A Boy and his blob is all glitch, and Widget is just weird. Sonic3 and Knuckles and Mortal Kombat actually have gameplay, but their glitches are far more impressive. Sonic 3 and Knuckles for the win.

Can I vote for this? I like all the movies on this list (I nominated two of them), but I think it's obvious what I would have voted for, so I'll abstain. Courteously.
